¹Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹Ja mulle tuli Issanda sõna; ta ütles:

²And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel, An end: the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

²'Ja sina, inimesepoeg, nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal Iisraeli maale: Lõpp! Üle nelja maapiiri tuleb lõpp!

³Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.

³Nüüd tuleb sulle lõpp, sest ma läkitan oma viha su peale ning mõistan kohut su üle su eluviiside kohaselt ja panen su peale kõik su jäledused!

⁴And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

⁴Mu silm ei kurvasta sinu pärast ja ma ei anna armu, vaid panen su eluviisid su peale ja su jäledused tulevad su keskele; ja te saate tunda, et mina olen Issand.

⁵Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh.

⁵Nõnda ütleb Issand Jumal: Õnnetus! Üksnes õnnetus! Vaata, see tuleb!

⁶An end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee; behold, it cometh.

⁶Lõpp tuleb, tuleb lõpp! See saabub sulle! Vaata, see tuleb!

⁷Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, [a day of] tumult, and not [of] joyful shouting, upon the mountains.

⁷Järg tuleb sinu kätte, maa elanik! Aeg tuleb, päev on ligidal: jahmatuseks, aga mitte rõõmuhõikeiks mägedel.

⁸Now will I shortly pour out my wrath upon thee, and accomplish mine anger against thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.

⁸Nüüd varsti ma valan su peale oma tulise viha ja lasen sul tunda oma viha; ma mõistan kohut su üle su eluviiside kohaselt ja panen su peale kõik su jäledused.

⁹And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring upon thee according to thy ways; and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, do smite.

⁹Mu silm ei kurvasta ja ma ei anna armu; su eluviiside kohaselt tasun ma sulle ja su jäledused tulevad su keskele; ja te saate tunda, et mina, Issand, olen see, kes teid lööb.

¹⁰Behold, the day, behold, it cometh: thy doom is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

¹⁰Vaata, päev! Vaata, see tuleb! Järg on tulnud, väärus õitseb, ülbus lokkab!

¹¹Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; none of them [shall remain], nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth: neither shall there be eminency among them.

¹¹Vägivald tõuseb õeluse vitsaks; neist ei jää midagi üle, ei nende rikkusest ega nende kärast ega nende ilust.

¹²The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹²Aeg tuleb, päev ligineb! Ostja ärgu rõõmustagu ja müüja ärgu kurvastagu, sest tuline viha tuleb kogu selle rahvahulga peale!

¹³For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they be yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, none shall return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

¹³Jah, müüja ei pääse tagasi müüdu juurde, kui nad ongi veel elus elavate keskel; sest nägemus kogu selle rahvahulga kohta ei pöördu ära ja oma patusse jäädes ei säilita ükski oma elu.

¹⁴They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but none goeth to the battle; for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

¹⁴Puhutakse küll sarve ja seatakse kõik valmis, aga ükski ei lähe sõtta, sest mu tuline viha on kogu selle rahvahulga vastu.

¹⁵The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword: and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

¹⁵Väljas on mõõk ning sees on katk ja nälg; kes on väljal, see sureb mõõga läbi, ja kes on linnas, selle sööb nälg ja katk.

¹⁶But those of them that escape shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity.

¹⁶Ja kui neist mõned pääsevad, siis on need mägedel otsekui kudrutavad kuristike tuvid, igaüks nutab oma süü pärast.

¹⁷All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

¹⁷Kõik käed lõtvuvad ja kõik põlved muutuvad nõrgaks.

¹⁸They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

¹⁸Nad rõivastuvad kotiriidesse ja neid katab värin; kõigi nägudel on häbi ja kõigi pead on paljaks pöetud.

¹⁹They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it hath been the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

¹⁹Oma hõbeda nad viskavad tänavaile ja nende kuld on roojane; nende hõbe ja kuld ei päästa neid Issanda vihapäeval, nad ei saa sellega toita oma hinge ega täita oma kõhtu; sest see on saanud neile komistuskiviks süüsse.

²⁰As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations [and] their detestable things therein: therefore have I made it unto them as an unclean thing.

²⁰Nad on tarvitanud oma kallisasju uhkuseks ja on neist valmistanud oma jäledad, põlastusväärsed kujud; seepärast ma teen selle kõik neile roojaseks.

²¹And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.

²¹Ma annan selle riisumiseks võõrastele ja saagiks maa õelaile, ja need teotavad seda.

²²My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret [place]; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

²²Ma pööran neist ära oma palge ja mu kallisvara teotatakse; selle kallale tulevad röövlid ja need teotavad seda.

²³Make the chain; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

²³Valmista ahelad, sest maa on täis veresüüd ja linn on täis vägivalda!

²⁴Wherefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pride of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be profaned.

²⁴Ja ma toon kõige halvemad paganaist ja need pärivad nende kojad; ma lõpetan nende vägevate kõrkuse ja nende pühamud teotatakse.

²⁵Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

²⁵Ahastus tuleb ja nad otsivad rahu, aga seda ei ole.

²⁶Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

²⁶Õnnetus tuleb õnnetuse peale, kuulujutt kuulujutu järele; siis nad nõuavad prohvetilt nägemust, aga Seadus on kadunud preestreilt ja nõu vanemailt.

²⁷The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

²⁷Kuningas leinab, vürst rüütab enese ehmatusega ja maa rahva käed värisevad; ma kohtlen neid nende eluviiside kohaselt ja mõistan kohut nende üle nende oma seaduste järgi ning nad saavad tunda, et mina olen Issand.'
