¹These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:

¹Seda rääkis Jeesus. Ja ta tõstis oma silmad taeva poole ja ütles: 'Isa, tund on tulnud, kirgasta oma Poega, et ka Poeg kirgastaks sind,

²even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.

²nagu sina oled talle andnud meelevalla kõigi olendite üle, et ta annaks igavese elu igaühele, keda sina talle oled andnud.

³And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, [even] Jesus Christ.

³Aga igavene elu on see, et nad tunneksid sind, ainsat tõelist Jumalat, ja Jeesust Kristust, kelle sina oled läkitanud.

⁴I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

⁴Mina olen sind kirgastanud maa peal, lõpetanud töö, mille sa mulle andsid teha,

⁵And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

⁵ja nüüd kirgasta ka sina, Isa, mind enese juures selle kirkusega, mis mul oli enne maailma rajamist sinu juures!

⁶I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.

⁶Ma olen teatavaks teinud sinu nime inimestele, keda sina mulle oled andnud maailmast. Nad olid sinu omad, ja sina oled andnud nad mulle ning nad on pidanud sinu sõna.

⁷Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:

⁷Nüüd on nad ära tundnud, et kõik, mis sina oled andnud mulle, on sinu juurest,

⁸for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received [them], and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.

⁸sest need sõnad, mis sa oled andnud mulle, olen mina andnud neile ja nemad on need vastu võtnud ja tõesti ära tundnud, et ma olen pärit sinu juurest, ning uskunud, et sina oled minu läkitanud.

⁹I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:

⁹Mina palun nende eest, maailma eest ma ei palu, vaid nende eest, keda sina oled mulle andnud, sest nad on sinu omad.

¹⁰and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.

¹⁰Ja kõik minu oma on sinu oma ja sinu oma on minu oma, ning mina olen kirgastatud nendes.

¹¹And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we [are].

¹¹Ja mina ei ole enam maailmas, kuid nemad on maailmas, ning mina tulen sinu juurde. Püha Isa, hoia neid oma nimes, mille sina andsid mulle, et nad oleksid üks nii nagu meie!

¹²While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹³But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.

¹⁴I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¹⁴Mina olen andnud neile sinu sõna ning maailm on vihanud neid, sest nemad ei ole maailmast, nii nagu minagi ei ole maailmast.

¹⁵I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil [one].

¹⁵Ma ei palu, et sa võtaksid nad ära maailmast, vaid et sa hoiaksid neid kurja eest.

¹⁶They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

¹⁶Nemad ei ole maailmast, nii nagu minagi ei ole maailmast.

¹⁷Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

¹⁸As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.

¹⁸Nii nagu sina läkitasid minu maailma, läkitan ka mina nemad maailma.

¹⁹And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.

¹⁹Ja ma pühitsen ennast nende eest, et ka nemad oleksid pühitsetud tões.

²⁰Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;

²⁰Aga ma ei palu üksnes nende eest, vaid ka nende eest, kes nende sõna läbi hakkavad minusse uskuma,

²¹that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.

²¹et kõik oleksid üks, nii nagu sina, Isa, minus ja mina sinus, et nemadki oleksid meis, et maailm usuks, et sina oled minu läkitanud.

²²And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;

²²Ja mina olen andnud neile selle kirkuse, mille sina oled andnud mulle, et nad oleksid üks, nii nagu meie oleme üks:

²³I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.

²³mina neis ja sina minus, et nad oleksid täielikult üks, nii et maailm tunneks ära, et sina oled minu läkitanud ja et sa oled armastanud neid, nii nagu sa oled armastanud mind.

²⁴Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

²⁴Isa, ma tahan, et ka need, keda sa mulle oled andnud, oleksid minuga seal, kus mina olen, et nad näeksid mu kirkust, mille sa oled andnud mulle, sest sa oled mind armastanud enne maailma rajamist.

²⁵O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;

²⁵Õige Isa, maailm ei ole sind tundnud, aga mina tundsin sind ning need siin tunnevad, et sina oled minu läkitanud.

²⁶and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.

²⁶Ja ma olen neile andnud teada sinu nime ja annan teada seda, et armastus, millega sina oled armastanud mind, oleks nendes ja mina oleksin nendes.'
