1Oh give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known among the peoples his doings.
1Tänage Issandat, kuulutage tema nime, tehke teatavaks rahvaste seas tema teod!
2Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvelous works.
2Laulge temale, mängige temale, kõnelge kõigist tema imedest!
3Glory ye in his holy name: Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

4Seek ye Jehovah and his strength; Seek his face evermore.

5Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,

6O ye seed of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
6te Aabrahami, tema sulase sugu, te Jaakobi, tema valitu lapsed!
7He is Jehovah our God: His judgments are in all the earth.
7Tema, Issand, on meie Jumal, tema kohtuotsused on igal pool maailmas.
8He hath remembered his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
8Ta peab igavesti meeles oma lepingut, sõna, mille ta on andnud tuhandele põlvele,
9[The covenant] which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,
9lepingut, mille ta on sõlminud Aabrahamiga, ja oma vannet Iisakile.
10And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,
10Ta seadis selle Jaakobile määruseks, Iisraelile igaveseks lepinguks.
11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance;
11Ta ütles: 'Sinule ma annan Kaananimaa, see on teie pärisosa!',
12When they were but a few men in number, Yea, very few, and sojourners in it.
12kui neid oli väike hulgake ja nad olid seal ainult pisut aega ning võõrastena elanud.
13And they went about from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people.
13Ja nad rändasid rahva juurest rahva juurde, ühest riigist teise rahva juurde.
14He suffered no man to do them wrong; Yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
14Tema ei lasknud ühtegi inimest neile liiga teha ja ta nuhtles nende pärast kuningaid:
15[Saying], Touch not mine anointed ones, And do my prophets no harm.
15'Minu võituid ärge puudutage ja ärge tehke kurja minu prohvetitele!'
16And he called for a famine upon the land; He brake the whole staff of bread.
16Ja ta kutsus nälja maa peale, lõpetas kõik leivajätku.
17He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant:
17Ta läkitas nende eele mehe: Joosep müüdi orjaks.
18His feet they hurt with fetters: He was laid in [chains of] iron,
18Tema jalgu vaevati pakus, ta kaelgi pandi raudu,
19Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of Jehovah tried him.
19kuni Issanda sõna läks täide, tema kõne tegi ta puhtaks.
20The king sent and loosed him; Even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.
20Siis kuningas läkitas ja päästis ta lahti, rahvaste valitseja laskis ta valla.
21He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his substance;
21Ta pani tema isandaks oma koja üle ja kogu oma omandi valitsejaks,
22To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.
22nõnda et ta oma tahtmist mööda võis sundida tema vürste ja õpetada tarkust tema vanemaile.
23Israel also came into Egypt; And Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
23Nõnda tuli Iisrael Egiptusesse ja Jaakob elas võõrana Haami maal.
24And he increased his people greatly, And made them stronger than their adversaries.
24Ja Issand suurendas väga oma rahvast ning tegi ta tugevamaks tema rõhujaist.
25He turned their heart to hate his people, To deal subtly with his servants.
25Ta pani ahistajate südame vihkama oma rahvast, ja salakavalust pidama tema sulaste vastu.
26He sent Moses his servant, [And] Aaron whom he had chosen.
26Ta läkitas Moosese, oma sulase, ja Aaroni, kelle ta oli valinud.
27They set among them his signs, And wonders in the land of Ham.
27Nemad tegid tema tunnustähti ja imetegusid Haami maal.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they rebelled not against his words.
28Ta läkitas pimeduse, tegi maa pimedaks, ja nad ei tõrkunud vastu tema sõnale.
29He turned their waters into blood, And slew their fish.
29Ta muutis nende veed vereks, ta suretas nende kalad.
30Their land swarmed with frogs In the chambers of their kings.

31He spake, and there came swarms of flies, And lice in all their borders.
31Ta käskis, ja siis tuli parme ja sääski kogu nende maadele.
32He gave them hail for rain, [And] flaming fire in their land.

33He smote their vines also and their fig-trees, And brake the trees of their borders.
33Ta lõi maha nende viinapuud ja viigipuud ning murdis kõik puud nende maal.
34He spake, and the locust came, And the grasshopper, and that without number,
34Ta käskis, ja tuli lugematul arvul rohutirtse ja söödikuid,
35And did eat up every herb in their land, And did eat up the fruit of their ground.
35ja need sõid kõik rohu nende maal ja neelasid nende põllu vilja.
36He smote also all the first-born in their land, The chief of all their strength.
36Tema lõi maha ka kõik esmasündinud nende maal, kõik nende mehejõu esmikud.
37And he brought them forth with silver and gold; And there was not one feeble person among his tribes.
37Siis ta viis nad välja koos hõbeda ja kullaga, ega olnud ühtegi, kes oleks komistanud nende suguharude seas.
38Egypt was glad when they departed; For the fear of them had fallen upon them.
38Egiptus rõõmustas nende ära minnes, sest hirm nende pärast oli teda vallanud.
39He spread a cloud for a covering, And fire to give light in the night.
39Tema laotas pilve nende katteks ja tule valgustama ööd.
40They asked, and he brought quails, And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
40Nad palusid, ja ta tõi vutte ning söötis nende kõhud täis taeva leivaga.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; They ran in the dry places [like] a river.
41Ta avas kalju ja vesi jooksis; see jooksis jõena põuasel maal.
42For he remembered his holy word, [And] Abraham his servant.

43And he brought forth his people with joy, [And] his chosen with singing.

44And he gave them the lands of the nations; And they took the labor of the peoples in possession:
44Ja ta andis neile paganarahvaste maad ning nad pärisid rahvahõimude töövaeva,
45That they might keep his statutes, And observe his laws. Praise ye Jehovah.
45et nad peaksid tema määrusi ja hoiaksid tema Seadust. Halleluuja!
