Psalms

120

1A Song of Ascents. In my distress I cried unto Jehovah, And he answered me.
1Palveteekonna laul. Ma hüüdsin oma kitsikuses Issanda poole ja tema vastas mulle.
2Deliver my soul, O Jehovah, from lying lips, [And] from a deceitful tongue.
2Issand, vabasta mu hing valetajaist huultest ja petisest keelest!
3What shall be given unto thee, and what shall be done more unto thee, Thou deceitful tongue?
3Mida anda sulle, mida lisada sulle, petis keel?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, With coals of juniper.
4Sangari teravaid nooli koos leetpõõsa tuliste sütega.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
5Häda mulle, et ma võõrana elan Mesekis, et ma viibin Keedari telkide keskel!
6My soul hath long had her dwelling With him that hateth peace.
6Juba kaua on mu hing elanud nende juures, kes vihkavad rahu.
7I am [for] peace: But when I speak, they are for war.
7Mina tahan rahu! Aga kui ma räägin, on nemad valmis sõjaks.
