²Mine enemies would swallow me up all the day long; For they are many that fight proudly against me.

²Ole mulle armuline, Jumal, sest inimesed tahavad mind rünnata, ühtelugu kipuvad sõjamehed mu kallale!

³What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.

³Mu varitsejad püüavad mind rünnata kogu päeva, sest palju on neid, kes mu vastu kõrgilt sõdivad.

⁴In God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?

⁴Sel päeval, kui ma kardan, loodan ma sinu peale,

⁵All the day long they wrest my words: All their thoughts are against me for evil.

⁵Jumala peale, kelle sõna ma kiidan. Ma loodan Jumala peale, ei ma karda. Mida võibki lihane inimene mulle teha?

⁶They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, They mark my steps, Even as they have waited for my soul.

⁶Kogu päeva nad moonutavad mu sõnu, kõik nende mõtted minu kohta sihivad kurjale.

⁷Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.

⁷Nad tulevad kokku ja luuravad ning jälgivad mu samme, sest nad varitsevad mu hinge.

⁸Thou numberest my wanderings: Put thou my tears into thy bottle; Are they not in thy book?

⁸Kas peaks neil olema pääsemist oma nurjatusega? Vihaga tõuka maha rahvad, oh Jumal!

⁹Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call: This I know, that God is for me.

⁹Minu pagulaspäevad olid sa ära lugenud; pane sina mu pisarad oma lähkrisse; eks need ole su raamatus?

¹⁰In God (I will praise [his] word), In Jehovah (I will praise [his] word),

¹⁰Kord peavad taganema mu vaenlased sel päeval, mil ma hüüan; seda ma tean, sest Jumal on minu poolt.

¹¹In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can man do unto me?

¹¹Jumala sõna ma kiidan, Issanda sõna ma kiidan.

¹²Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thank-offerings unto thee.

¹²Jumala peale ma loodan, ei ma karda; mida võibki mulle teha inimene?

¹³For thou hast delivered my soul from death: [Hast thou] not [delivered] my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living?

¹³Jumal, minu peal on tõotused, mis ma sinule andsin; ma tasun sulle tänuohvrid.

¹⁴Sest sa kiskusid välja mu hinge surmast, mu jalad libisemisest, et ma kõnniksin Jumala ees eluvalguses.
