¹In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.

¹Issand, sinu juures otsin ma pelgupaika, ära lase mind iialgi jääda häbisse!

²Deliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.

²Oma õiglusega tõmba mind välja kitsikusest ja vabasta mind; pööra oma kõrv mu poole ja päästa mind!

³Be thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.

³Ole mulle kaitsjaks kaljuks, kuhu ma aina saan minna! Sina oled käskinud mind päästa, sest sina oled mu kalju ja mu mäelinnus.

⁴Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

⁴Mu Jumal, vabasta mind õela käest ning ülekohtuse ja vägivaldse pihust!

⁵For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: [Thou art] my trust from my youth.

⁵Sest sina oled mu ootus, Issand Jumal. Sa oled mu kindel lootus mu noorpõlvest.

⁶By thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee.

⁶Sinule ma olen toetunud sündimisest, sa oled kandnud mu eest hoolt emaihust alates, sinule kõlab aina mu kiitus.

⁷I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge.

⁷Ma olen saanud paljudele imeasjaks, kuid sina oled mulle tugevaks varjupaigaks.

⁸My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, And with thy honor all the day.

⁸Minu suu on täis sinu kiitust ja su ülevust kogu päeva.

⁹Cast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.

⁹Ära heida mind ära mu vanas eas, ära hülga mind, kui mu ramm lõpeb!

¹⁰For mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,

¹⁰Sest mu vaenlased räägivad mu vastu, ja kes varitsevad mu hinge, peavad üheskoos nõu

¹¹Saying, God hath forsaken him: Pursue and take him; for there is none to deliver.

¹¹ning ütlevad: 'Jumal on tema hüljanud, jälitage teda ning võtke ta kinni, sest ei ole, kes ta ära kisuks meie käest!'

¹²O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.

¹²Oh Jumal, ära ole minust kaugel, mu Jumal, tõtta mulle appi!

¹³Let them be put to shame [and] consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.

¹³Jäägu häbisse ja hukkugu minu hinge vastased; olgu häbistusse ja teotusse mähitud need, kes otsivad minu õnnetust!

¹⁴But I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.

¹⁴Aga mina ootan alati ja suurendan kogu su kiidetavust.

¹⁵My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, [And] of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers [thereof].

¹⁵Mu suu peab jutustama sinu õiglusest ja su päästetegudest kogu päeva, sest ma ei tea nende arvu.

¹⁶I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

¹⁶Ma tulen Issanda Jumala vägitegudega, ma tunnistan üksnes sinu õiglust.

¹⁷O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

¹⁷Jumal, sa oled mind õpetanud mu noorest east, ja sestsaadik ma kuulutan sinu imesid.

¹⁸Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto [the next] generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

¹⁸Ära siis jäta mind maha, Jumal, kui ma lähen vanaks ja halliks, kuni ma kuulutan sinu käsivart praegusele põlvele ja su vägevust kõigile järeltulijaile!

¹⁹Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?

¹⁹Sest su õiglus ulatub kõrgele, oh Jumal, kes oled suuri asju teinud. Jumal, kes on nagu sina?

²⁰Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

²⁰Sina, kes mind oled lasknud näha palju kitsikusi ja õnnetusi, teed mind jälle elavaks ja tõmbad mind jälle üles maa sügavustest.

²¹Increase thou my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.

²¹Kasvata mu suurust ja pöördu jälle mind trööstima!

²²I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [Even] thy truth, O my God: Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

²²Ma tahan sind tänada ka naablimänguga sinu ustavuse eest, mu Jumal! Ma tahan sulle lauldes mängida kannelt, sa Iisraeli Püha!

²³My lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.

²³Mu huuled hõiskavad, kui ma sulle lauldes mängin, samuti mu hing, mille sa oled lunastanud.

²⁴My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long; For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.

²⁴Minu keelgi kõneleb kogu päeva sinu õiglusest, sest juba häbenesid ja kohmetusid, kes otsisid mu õnnetust.
