1The hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
1La main de l'Eternel fut sur moi, et l'Eternel me transporta en esprit, et me déposa dans le milieu d'une vallée remplie d'ossements.
1היתה עלי יד יהוה ויוצאני ברוח יהוה ויניחני בתוך הבקעה והיא מלאה עצמות׃
2And he caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
2Il me fit passer auprès d'eux, tout autour; et voici, ils étaient fort nombreux, à la surface de la vallée, et ils étaient complètement secs.
2והעבירני עליהם סביב סביב והנה רבות מאד על פני הבקעה והנה יבשות מאד׃
3And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest.
3Il me dit: Fils de l'homme, ces os pourront-ils revivre? Je répondis: Seigneur Eternel, tu le sais.
3ויאמר אלי בן אדם התחיינה העצמות האלה ואמר אדני יהוה אתה ידעת׃
4Again he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah.
4Il me dit: Prophétise sur ces os, et dis-leur: Ossements desséchés, écoutez la parole de l'Eternel!
4ויאמר אלי הנבא על העצמות האלה ואמרת אליהם העצמות היבשות שמעו דבר יהוה׃
5Thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.
5Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel, à ces os: Voici, je vais faire entrer en vous un esprit, et vous vivrez;
5כה אמר אדני יהוה לעצמות האלה הנה אני מביא בכם רוח וחייתם׃
6And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
6je vous donnerai des nerfs, je ferai croître sur vous de la chair, je vous couvrirai de peau, je mettrai en vous un esprit, et vous vivrez. Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
6ונתתי עליכם גדים והעלתי עליכם בשר וקרמתי עליכם עור ונתתי בכם רוח וחייתם וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃
7So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and, behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.
7Je prophétisai, selon l'ordre que j'avais reçu. Et comme je prophétisais, il y eut un bruit, et voici, il se fit un mouvement, et les os s'approchèrent les uns des autres.
7ונבאתי כאשר צויתי ויהי קול כהנבאי והנה רעש ותקרבו עצמות עצם אל עצמו׃
8And I beheld, and, lo, there were sinews upon them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.
8Je regardai, et voici, il leur vint des nerfs, la chair crût, et la peau les couvrit par-dessus; mais il n'y avait point en eux d'esprit.
8וראיתי והנה עליהם גדים ובשר עלה ויקרם עליהם עור מלמעלה ורוח אין בהם׃
9Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
9Il me dit: Prophétise, et parle à l'esprit! prophétise, fils de l'homme, et dis à l'esprit: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Esprit, viens des quatre vents, souffle sur ces morts, et qu'ils revivent!
9ויאמר אלי הנבא אל הרוח הנבא בן אדם ואמרת אל הרוח כה אמר אדני יהוה מארבע רוחות באי הרוח ופחי בהרוגים האלה ויחיו׃
10So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
10Je prophétisai, selon l'ordre qu'il m'avait donné. Et l'esprit entra en eux, et ils reprirent vie, et ils se tinrent sur leurs pieds: c'était une armée nombreuse, très nombreuse.
10והנבאתי כאשר צוני ותבוא בהם הרוח ויחיו ויעמדו על רגליהם חיל גדול מאד מאד׃
11Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.
11Il me dit: Fils de l'homme, ces os, c'est toute la maison d'Israël. Voici, ils disent: Nos os sont desséchés, notre espérance est détruite, nous sommes perdus!
11ויאמר אלי בן אדם העצמות האלה כל בית ישראל המה הנה אמרים יבשו עצמותינו ואבדה תקותנו נגזרנו לנו׃
12Therefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.
12Prophétise donc, et dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, j'ouvrirai vos sépulcres, je vous ferai sortir de vos sépulcres, ô mon peuple, et je vous ramènerai dans le pays d'Israël.
12לכן הנבא ואמרת אליהם כה אמר אדני יהוה הנה אני פתח את קברותיכם והעליתי אתכם מקברותיכם עמי והבאתי אתכם אל אדמת ישראל׃
13And ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, O my people.
13Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel, lorsque j'ouvrirai vos sépulcres, et que je vous ferai sortir de vos sépulcres, ô mon peuple!
13וידעתם כי אני יהוה בפתחי את קברותיכם ובהעלותי אתכם מקברותיכם עמי׃
14And I will put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it and performed it, saith Jehovah.
14Je mettrai mon esprit en vous, et vous vivrez; je vous rétablirai dans votre pays, et vous saurez que moi, l'Eternel, j'ai parlé et agi, dit l'Eternel.
14ונתתי רוחי בכם וחייתם והנחתי אתכם על אדמתכם וידעתם כי אני יהוה דברתי ועשיתי נאם יהוה׃
15The word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying,
15La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
15ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃
16And thou, son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and [for] all the house of Israel his companions:
16Et toi, fils de l'homme, prends une pièce de bois, et écris dessus: Pour Juda et pour les enfants d'Israël qui lui sont associés. Prends une autre pièce de bois, et écris dessus: Pour Joseph, bois d'Ephraïm et de toute la maison d'Israël qui lui est associée.
16ואתה בן אדם קח לך עץ אחד וכתב עליו ליהודה ולבני ישראל חברו ולקח עץ אחד וכתוב עליו ליוסף עץ אפרים וכל בית ישראל חברו׃
17and join them for thee one to another into one stick, that they may become one in thy hand.
17Rapproche-les l'une et l'autre pour en former une seule pièce, en sorte qu'elles soient unies dans ta main.
17וקרב אתם אחד אל אחד לך לעץ אחד והיו לאחדים בידך׃
18And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou meanest by these?
18Et lorsque les enfants de ton peuple te diront: Ne nous expliqueras-tu pas ce que cela signifie?
18וכאשר יאמרו אליך בני עמך לאמר הלוא תגיד לנו מה אלה לך׃
19say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, [even] with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.
19réponds-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, je prendrai le bois de Joseph qui est dans la main d'Ephraïm, et les tribus d'Israël qui lui sont associées; je les joindrai au bois de Juda, et j'en formerai un seul bois, en sorte qu'ils ne soient qu'un dans ma main.
19דבר אלהם כה אמר אדני יהוה הנה אני לקח את עץ יוסף אשר ביד אפרים ושבטי ישראל חברו ונתתי אותם עליו את עץ יהודה ועשיתם לעץ אחד והיו אחד בידי׃
20And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes.
20Les bois sur lesquels tu écriras seront dans ta main, sous leurs yeux.
20והיו העצים אשר תכתב עליהם בידך לעיניהם׃
21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
21Et tu leur diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel: Voici, je prendrai les enfants d'Israël du milieu des nations où ils sont allés, je les rassemblerai de toutes parts, et je les ramènerai dans leur pays.
21ודבר אליהם כה אמר אדני יהוה הנה אני לקח את בני ישראל מבין הגוים אשר הלכו שם וקבצתי אתם מסביב והבאתי אותם אל אדמתם׃
22and I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;
22Je ferai d'eux une seule nation dans le pays, dans les montagnes d'Israël; ils auront tous un même roi, ils ne formeront plus deux nations, et ne seront plus divisés en deux royaumes.
22ועשיתי אתם לגוי אחד בארץ בהרי ישראל ומלך אחד יהיה לכלם למלך ולא יהיה עוד לשני גוים ולא יחצו עוד לשתי ממלכות עוד׃
23neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
23Ils ne se souilleront plus par leurs idoles, par leurs abominations, et par toutes leurs transgressions; je les retirerai de tous les lieux qu'ils ont habités et où ils ont péché, et je les purifierai; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu.
23ולא יטמאו עוד בגלוליהם ובשקוציהם ובכל פשעיהם והושעתי אתם מכל מושבתיהם אשר חטאו בהם וטהרתי אותם והיו לי לעם ואני אהיה להם לאלהים׃
24And my servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in mine ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.
24Mon serviteur David sera leur roi, et ils auront tous un seul pasteur. Ils suivront mes ordonnances, ils observeront mes lois et les mettront en pratique.
24ועבדי דוד מלך עליהם ורועה אחד יהיה לכלם ובמשפטי ילכו וחקתי ישמרו ועשו אותם׃
25And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.
25Ils habiteront le pays que j'ai donné à mon serviteur Jacob, et qu'ont habité vos pères; ils y habiteront, eux, leurs enfants, et les enfants de leurs enfants, à perpétuité; et mon serviteur David sera leur prince pour toujours.
25וישבו על הארץ אשר נתתי לעבדי ליעקב אשר ישבו בה אבותיכם וישבו עליה המה ובניהם ובני בניהם עד עולם ודוד עבדי נשיא להם לעולם׃
26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
26Je traiterai avec eux une alliance de paix, et il y aura une alliance éternelle avec eux; je les établirai, je les multiplierai, et je placerai mon sanctuaire au milieu d'eux pour toujours.
26וכרתי להם ברית שלום ברית עולם יהיה אותם ונתתים והרביתי אותם ונתתי את מקדשי בתוכם לעולם׃
27My tabernacle also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
27Ma demeure sera parmi eux; je serai leur Dieu, et ils seront mon peuple.
27והיה משכני עליהם והייתי להם לאלהים והמה יהיו לי לעם׃
28And the nations shall know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
28Et les nations sauront que je suis l'Eternel, qui sanctifie Israël, lorsque mon sanctuaire sera pour toujours au milieu d'eux.
28וידעו הגוים כי אני יהוה מקדש את ישראל בהיות מקדשי בתוכם לעולם׃
