¹Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building toward the north.

¹Il me fit sortir vers le parvis extérieur du côté du septentrion, et il me conduisit aux chambres qui étaient vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment, au septentrion.

¹ויוצאני אל החצר החיצונה הדרך דרך הצפון ויבאני אל הלשכה אשר נגד הגזרה ואשר נגד הבנין אל הצפון׃

²Before the length of a hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.

²Sur la face, où se trouvait la porte septentrionale, il y avait une longueur de cent coudées; et la largeur était de cinquante coudées.

²אל פני ארך אמות המאה פתח הצפון והרחב חמשים אמות׃

³Over against the twenty [cubits] which belonged to the inner court, and over against the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the third story.

³C'était vis-à-vis des vingt coudées du parvis intérieur, et vis-à-vis du pavé du parvis extérieur, là où se trouvaient les galeries des trois étages.

³נגד העשרים אשר לחצר הפנימי ונגד רצפה אשר לחצר החיצונה אתיק אל פני אתיק בשלשים׃

⁴And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits' breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north.

⁴Devant les chambres, il y avait une allée large de dix coudées, et une voie d'une coudée; leurs portes donnaient au septentrion.

⁴ולפני הלשכות מהלך עשר אמות רחב אל הפנימית דרך אמה אחת ופתחיהם לצפון׃

⁵Now the upper chambers were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middlemost, in the building.

⁵Les chambres supérieures étaient plus étroites que les inférieures et que celles du milieu du bâtiment, parce que les galeries leur ôtaient de la place.

⁵והלשכות העליונת קצרות כי יוכלו אתיקים מהנה מהתחתנות ומהתכנות בנין׃

⁶For they were in three stories, and they had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore [the uppermost] was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.

⁶Il y avait trois étages, mais il n'y avait point de colonnes, comme les colonnes des parvis; c'est pourquoi, à partir du sol, les chambres du haut étaient plus étroites que celles du bas et du milieu.

⁶כי משלשות הנה ואין להן עמודים כעמודי החצרות על כן נאצל מהתחתונות ומהתיכנות מהארץ׃

⁷And the wall that was without by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court before the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.

⁷Le mur extérieur parallèle aux chambres, du côté du parvis extérieur, devant les chambres, avait cinquante coudées de longueur;

⁷וגדר אשר לחוץ לעמת הלשכות דרך החצר החצונה אל פני הלשכות ארכו חמשים אמה׃

⁸For the length of the chambers that were in the outer court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were a hundred cubits.

⁸car la longueur des chambres du côté du parvis extérieur était de cinquante coudées. Mais sur la face du temple il y avait cent coudées.

⁸כי ארך הלשכות אשר לחצר החצונה חמשים אמה והנה על פני ההיכל מאה אמה׃

⁹And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the outer court.

⁹Au bas de ces chambres était l'entrée de l'orient, quand on y venait du parvis extérieur.

⁹ומתחתה לשכות האלה המבוא מהקדים בבאו להנה מהחצר החצנה׃

¹⁰In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were chambers.

¹⁰Il y avait encore des chambres sur la largeur du mur du parvis du côté de l'orient, vis-à-vis de la place vide et vis-à-vis du bâtiment.

¹⁰ברחב גדר החצר דרך הקדים אל פני הגזרה ואל פני הבנין לשכות׃

¹¹And the way before them was like the appearance of [the way of] the chambers which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their egresses were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.

¹¹Devant elles, il y avait une allée, comme devant les chambres qui étaient du côté du septentrion. La longueur et la largeur étaient les mêmes; leurs issues, leur disposition et leurs portes étaient semblables.

¹¹ודרך לפניהם כמראה הלשכות אשר דרך הצפון כארכן כן רחבן וכל מוצאיהן וכמשפטיהן וכפתחיהן׃

¹²And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.

¹²Il en était de même pour les portes des chambres du côté du midi. Il y avait une porte à la tête de l'allée, de l'allée qui se trouvait droit devant le mur du côté de l'orient, par où l'on y entrait.

¹²וכפתחי הלשכות אשר דרך הדרום פתח בראש דרך דרך בפני הגדרת הגינה דרך הקדים בבואן׃

¹³Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they are the holy chambers, where the priests that are near unto Jehovah shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal-offering, and the sin-offering, and the trespass-offering; for the place is holy.

¹³Il me dit: Les chambres du septentrion et les chambres du midi, qui sont devant la place vide, ce sont les chambres saintes, où les sacrificateurs qui s'approchent de l'Eternel mangeront les choses très saintes; ils y déposeront les choses très saintes, les offrandes, les victimes présentées dans les sacrifices d'expiation et de culpabilité; car le lieu est saint.

¹³ויאמר אלי לשכות הצפון לשכות הדרום אשר אל פני הגזרה הנה לשכות הקדש אשר יאכלו שם הכהנים אשר קרובים ליהוה קדשי הקדשים שם יניחו קדשי הקדשים והמנחה והחטאת והאשם כי המקום קדש׃

¹⁴When the priests enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertaineth to the people.

¹⁴Quand les sacrificateurs seront entrés, ils ne sortiront pas du sanctuaire pour aller dans le parvis extérieur, mais ils déposeront là les vêtements avec lesquels ils font le service, car ces vêtements sont saints; ils en mettront d'autres pour s'approcher du peuple.

¹⁴בבאם הכהנים ולא יצאו מהקדש אל החצר החיצונה ושם יניחו בגדיהם אשר ישרתו בהן כי קדש הנה ילבשו בגדים אחרים וקרבו אל אשר לעם׃

¹⁵Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.

¹⁵Lorsqu'il eut achevé de mesurer la maison intérieure, il me fit sortir par la porte qui était du côté de l'orient, et il mesura l'enceinte tout autour.

¹⁵וכלה את מדות הבית הפנימי והוציאני דרך השער אשר פניו דרך הקדים ומדדו סביב סביב׃

¹⁶He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.

¹⁶Il mesura le côté de l'orient avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait tout autour cinq cents cannes.

¹⁶מדד רוח הקדים בקנה המדה חמש אמות קנים בקנה המדה סביב׃

¹⁷He measured on the north side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.

¹⁷Il mesura le côté du septentrion avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait tout autour cinq cents cannes.

¹⁷מדד רוח הצפון חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה סביב׃

¹⁸He measured on the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

¹⁸Il mesura le côté du midi avec la canne qui servait de mesure, et il y avait cinq cents cannes.

¹⁸את רוח הדרום מדד חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה׃

¹⁹He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

¹⁹Il se tourna du côté de l'occident, et mesura cinq cents cannes avec la canne qui servait de mesure.

¹⁹סבב אל רוח הים מדד חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה׃

²⁰He measured it on the four sides: it had a wall round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.

²⁰Il mesura des quatre côtés le mur formant l'enceinte de la maison; la longueur était de cinq cents cannes, et la largeur de cinq cents cannes; ce mur marquait la séparation entre le saint et le profane.

²⁰לארבע רוחות מדדו חומה לו סביב סביב ארך חמש מאות ורחב חמש מאות להבדיל בין הקדש לחל׃
