1The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.

1משא צר הילילו אניות תרשיש כי שדד מבית מבוא מארץ כתים נגלה למו׃
2Be still, ye inhabitants of the coast, thou whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
2Soyez muets d'effroi, habitants de la côte, Que remplissaient les marchands de Sidon, parcourant la mer!
2דמו ישבי אי סחר צידון עבר ים מלאוך׃
3And on great waters the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the mart of nations.
3A travers les vastes eaux, le blé du Nil, La moisson du fleuve, était pour elle un revenu; Elle était le marché des nations.
3ובמים רבים זרע שחר קציר יאור תבואתה ותהי סחר גוים׃
4Be thou ashamed, O Sidon; for the sea hath spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.
4Sois confuse, Sidon! Car ainsi parle la mer, la forteresse de la mer: Je n'ai point eu de douleurs, je n'ai point enfanté, Je n'ai point nourri de jeunes gens, ni élevé de jeunes filles.
4בושי צידון כי אמר ים מעוז הים לאמר לא חלתי ולא ילדתי ולא גדלתי בחורים רוממתי בתולות׃
5When the report cometh to Egypt, they shall be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
5Quand les Egyptiens sauront la nouvelle, Ils trembleront en apprenant la chute de Tyr.
5כאשר שמע למצרים יחילו כשמע צר׃
6Pass ye over to Tarshish; wail, ye inhabitants of the coast.
6Passez à Tarsis, Lamentez-vous, habitants de la côte!
6עברו תרשישה הילילו ישבי אי׃
7Is this your joyous [city], whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her afar off to sojourn?
7Est-ce là votre ville joyeuse? Elle avait une origine antique, Et ses pieds la mènent séjourner au loin.
7הזאת לכם עליזה מימי קדם קדמתה יבלוה רגליה מרחוק לגור׃
8Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?
8Qui a pris cette résolution contre Tyr, la dispensatrice des couronnes, Elle dont les marchands étaient des princes, Dont les commerçants étaient les plus riches de la terre?
8מי יעץ זאת על צר המעטירה אשר סחריה שרים כנעניה נכבדי ארץ׃
9Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.
9C'est l'Eternel des armées qui a pris cette résolution, Pour blesser l'orgueil de tout ce qui brille, Pour humilier tous les grands de la terre.
9יהוה צבאות יעצה לחלל גאון כל צבי להקל כל נכבדי ארץ׃
10Pass through thy land as the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no restraint any more.
10Parcours librement ton pays, pareille au Nil, Fille de Tarsis! Plus de joug!
10עברי ארצך כיאר בת תרשיש אין מזח עוד׃
11He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he hath shaken the kingdoms: Jehovah hath given commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strongholds thereof.
11L'Eternel a étendu sa main sur la mer; Il a fait trembler les royaumes; Il a ordonné la destruction des forteresses de Canaan.
11ידו נטה על הים הרגיז ממלכות יהוה צוה אל כנען לשמד מעזניה׃
12And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon: arise, pass over to Kittim; even there shalt thou have no rest.
12Il a dit: Tu ne te livreras plus à la joie, Vierge déshonorée, fille de Sidon! Lève-toi, passe au pays de Kittim! Même là, il n'y aura pas de repos pour toi.
12ויאמר לא תוסיפי עוד לעלוז המעשקה בתולת בת צידון כתיים קומי עברי גם שם לא ינוח לך׃
13Behold, the land of the Chaldeans: this people was not; the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness; they set up their towers; they overthrew the palaces thereof; they made it a ruin.
13Vois les Chaldéens, qui n'étaient pas un peuple, Ces habitants du désert, pour qui l'Assyrien a fondé un pays; Ils élèvent des tours, ils renversent les palais de Tyr, Ils les mettent en ruines.
13הן ארץ כשדים זה העם לא היה אשור יסדה לציים הקימו בחיניו עררו ארמנותיה שמה למפלה׃
14Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for your stronghold is laid waste.
14Lamentez-vous, navires de Tarsis! Car votre forteresse est détruite!
14הילילו אניות תרשיש כי שדד מעזכן׃
15And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it shall be unto Tyre as in the song of the harlot.
15En ce temps-là, Tyr tombera dans l'oubli soixante-dix ans, Ce que dure la vie d'un roi. Au bout de soixante-dix ans, il en sera de Tyr Comme de la prostituée dont parle la chanson: -
15והיה ביום ההוא ונשכחת צר שבעים שנה כימי מלך אחד מקץ שבעים שנה יהיה לצר כשירת הזונה׃
16Take a harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
16Prends la harpe, parcours la ville, Prostituée qu'on oublie! Joue bien, répète tes chants, Pour qu'on se souvienne de toi! -
16קחי כנור סבי עיר זונה נשכחה היטיבי נגן הרבי שיר למען תזכרי׃
17And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that Jehovah will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
17Au bout de soixante-dix ans, l'Eternel visitera Tyr, Et elle retournera à son salaire impur; Elle se prostituera à tous les royaumes de la terre, Sur la face du monde.
17והיה מקץ שבעים שנה יפקד יהוה את צר ושבה לאתננה וזנתה את כל ממלכות הארץ על פני האדמה׃
18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to Jehovah: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before Jehovah, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
18Mais son gain et son salaire impur seront consacrés à l'Eternel, Ils ne seront ni entassés ni conservés; Car son gain fournira pour ceux qui habitent devant l'Eternel Une nourriture abondante et des vêtements magnifiques.
18והיה סחרה ואתננה קדש ליהוה לא יאצר ולא יחסן כי לישבים לפני יהוה יהיה סחרה לאכל לשבעה ולמכסה עתיק׃
