1Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth; their idols are upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: the things that ye carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary [beast].
1Bel s'écroule, Nebo tombe; On met leurs idoles sur des animaux, sur des bêtes; Vous les portiez, et les voilà chargées, Devenues un fardeau pour l'animal fatigué!
1כרע בל קרס נבו היו עצביהם לחיה ולבהמה נשאתיכם עמוסות משא לעיפה׃
2They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
2Ils sont tombés, ils se sont écroulés ensemble, Ils ne peuvent sauver le fardeau, Et ils s'en vont eux-mêmes en captivité.
2קרסו כרעו יחדו לא יכלו מלט משא ונפשם בשבי הלכה׃
3Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne [by me] from their birth, that have been carried from the womb;
3Ecoutez-moi, maison de Jacob, Et vous tous, restes de la maison d'Israël, Vous que j'ai pris à ma charge dès votre origine, Que j'ai portés dès votre naissance!
3שמעו אלי בית יעקב וכל שארית בית ישראל העמסים מני בטן הנשאים מני רחם׃
4and even to old age I am he, and even to hoar hairs will I carry [you]; I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver.
4Jusqu'à votre vieillesse je serai le même, Jusqu'à votre vieillesse je vous soutiendrai; Je l'ai fait, et je veux encore vous porter, Vous soutenir et vous sauver.
4ועד זקנה אני הוא ועד שיבה אני אסבל אני עשיתי ואני אשא ואני אסבל ואמלט׃
5To whom will ye like me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
5A qui me comparerez-vous, pour le faire mon égal? A qui me ferez-vous ressembler, pour que nous soyons semblables?
5למי תדמיוני ותשוו ותמשלוני ונדמה׃
6Such as lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, they hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god; they fall down, yea, they worship.
6Ils versent l'or de leur bourse, Et pèsent l'argent à la balance; Ils paient un orfèvre, pour qu'il en fasse un dieu, Et ils adorent et se prosternent.
6הזלים זהב מכיס וכסף בקנה ישקלו ישכרו צורף ויעשהו אל יסגדו אף ישתחוו׃
7They bear it upon the shoulder, they carry it, and set it in its place, and it standeth, from its place shall it not remove: yea, one may cry unto it, yet can it not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
7Ils le portent, ils le chargent sur l'épaule, Ils le mettent en place, et il y reste; Il ne bouge pas de sa place; Puis on crie vers lui, mais il ne répond pas, Il ne sauve pas de la détresse.
7ישאהו על כתף יסבלהו ויניחהו תחתיו ויעמד ממקומו לא ימיש אף יצעק אליו ולא יענה מצרתו לא יושיענו׃
8Remember this, and show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
8Souvenez-vous de ces choses, et soyez des hommes! Pécheurs, rentrez en vous-mêmes!
8זכרו זאת והתאששו השיבו פושעים על לב׃
9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; [I am] God, and there is none like me;
9Souvenez-vous de ce qui s'est passé dès les temps anciens; Car je suis Dieu, et il n'y en a point d'autre, Je suis Dieu, et nul n'est semblable à moi.
9זכרו ראשנות מעולם כי אנכי אל ואין עוד אלהים ואפס כמוני׃
10declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not [yet] done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure;
10J'annonce dès le commencement ce qui doit arriver, Et longtemps d'avance ce qui n'est pas encore accompli; Je dis: Mes arrêts subsisteront, Et j'exécuterai toute ma volonté.
10מגיד מראשית אחרית ומקדם אשר לא נעשו אמר עצתי תקום וכל חפצי אעשה׃
11calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.
11C'est moi qui appelle de l'orient un oiseau de proie, D'une terre lointaine un homme pour accomplir mes desseins, Je l'ai dit, et je le réaliserai; Je l'ai conçu, et je l'exécuterai.
11קרא ממזרח עיט מארץ מרחק איש עצתו אף דברתי אף אביאנה יצרתי אף אעשנה׃
12Hearken unto me, ye stout-hearted, that are far from righteousness:
12Ecoutez-moi, gens endurcis de coeur, Ennemis de la droiture!
12שמעו אלי אבירי לב הרחוקים מצדקה׃
13I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
13Je fais approcher ma justice: elle n'est pas loin; Et mon salut: il ne tardera pas. Je mettrai le salut en Sion, Et ma gloire sur Israël.
13קרבתי צדקתי לא תרחק ותשועתי לא תאחר ונתתי בציון תשועה לישראל תפארתי׃
