1Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hold of the pit whence ye were digged.
1Ecoutez-moi, vous qui poursuivez la justice, Qui cherchez l'Eternel! Portez les regards sur le rocher d'où vous avez été taillés, Sur le creux de la fosse d'où vous avez été tirés.
1שמעו אלי רדפי צדק מבקשי יהוה הביטו אל צור חצבתם ואל מקבת בור נקרתם׃
2Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
2Portez les regards sur Abraham votre père, Et sur Sara qui vous a enfantés; Car lui seul je l'ai appelé, Je l'ai béni et multiplié.
2הביטו אל אברהם אביכם ואל שרה תחוללכם כי אחד קראתיו ואברכהו וארבהו׃
3For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; he hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
3Ainsi l'Eternel a pitié de Sion, Il a pitié de toutes ses ruines; Il rendra son désert semblable à un Eden, Et sa terre aride à un jardin de l'Eternel. La joie et l'allégresse se trouveront au milieu d'elle, Les actions de grâces et le chant des cantiques.
3כי נחם יהוה ציון נחם כל חרבתיה וישם מדברה כעדן וערבתה כגן יהוה ששון ושמחה ימצא בה תודה וקול זמרה׃
4Attend unto me, O my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
4Mon peuple, sois attentif! Ma nation, prête-moi l'oreille! Car la loi sortira de moi, Et j'établirai ma loi pour être la lumière des peuples.
4הקשיבו אלי עמי ולאומי אלי האזינו כי תורה מאתי תצא ומשפטי לאור עמים ארגיע׃
5My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples; the isles shall wait for me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
5Ma justice est proche, mon salut va paraître, Et mes bras jugeront les peuples; Les îles espéreront en moi, Elles se confieront en mon bras.
5קרוב צדקי יצא ישעי וזרעי עמים ישפטו אלי איים יקוו ואל זרעי ייחלון׃
6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
6Levez les yeux vers le ciel, et regardez en bas sur la terre! Car les cieux s'évanouiront comme une fumée, La terre tombera en lambeaux comme un vêtement, Et ses habitants périront comme des mouches; Mais mon salut durera éternellement, Et ma justice n'aura point de fin.
6שאו לשמים עיניכם והביטו אל הארץ מתחת כי שמים כעשן נמלחו והארץ כבגד תבלה וישביה כמו כן ימותון וישועתי לעולם תהיה וצדקתי לא תחת׃
7Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye dismayed at their revilings.
7Ecoutez-moi, vous qui connaissez la justice, Peuple, qui as ma loi dans ton coeur! Ne craignez pas l'opprobre des hommes, Et ne tremblez pas devant leurs outrages.
7שמעו אלי ידעי צדק עם תורתי בלבם אל תיראו חרפת אנוש ומגדפתם אל תחתו׃
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation unto all generations.
8Car la teigne les dévorera comme un vêtement, Et la gerce les rongera comme de la laine; Mais ma justice durera éternellement, Et mon salut s'étendra d'âge en âge.
8כי כבגד יאכלם עש וכצמר יאכלם סס וצדקתי לעולם תהיה וישועתי לדור דורים׃
9Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?
9Réveille-toi, réveille-toi! revêts-toi de force, bras de l'Eternel! Réveille-toi, comme aux jours d'autrefois, Dans les anciens âges! N'est-ce pas toi qui abattis l'Egypte, Qui transperças le monstre?
9עורי עורי לבשי עז זרוע יהוה עורי כימי קדם דרות עולמים הלוא את היא המחצבת רהב מחוללת תנין׃
10Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
10N'est-ce pas toi qui mis à sec la mer, Les eaux du grand abîme, Qui frayas dans les profondeurs de la mer Un chemin pour le passage des rachetés?
10הלוא את היא המחרבת ים מי תהום רבה השמה מעמקי ים דרך לעבר גאולים׃
11And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; [and] sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
11Ainsi les rachetés de l'Eternel retourneront, Ils iront à Sion avec chants de triomphe, Et une joie éternelle couronnera leur tête; L'allégresse et la joie s'approcheront, La douleur et les gémissements s'enfuiront.
11ופדויי יהוה ישובון ובאו ציון ברנה ושמחת עולם על ראשם ששון ושמחה ישיגון נסו יגון ואנחה׃
12I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;
12C'est moi, c'est moi qui vous console. Qui es-tu, pour avoir peur de l'homme mortel, Et du fils de l'homme, pareil à l'herbe?
12אנכי אנכי הוא מנחמכם מי את ותיראי מאנוש ימות ומבן אדם חציר ינתן׃
13and hast forgotten Jehovah thy Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fearest continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he maketh ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
13Et tu oublierais l'Eternel, qui t'a fait, Qui a étendu les cieux et fondé la terre! Et tu tremblerais incessamment tout le jour Devant la colère de l'oppresseur, Parce qu'il cherche à détruire! Où donc est la colère de l'oppresseur?
13ותשכח יהוה עשך נוטה שמים ויסד ארץ ותפחד תמיד כל היום מפני חמת המציק כאשר כונן להשחית ואיה חמת המציק׃
14The captive exile shall speedily be loosed; and he shall not die [and go down] into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.
14Bientôt celui qui est courbé sous les fers sera délivré; Il ne mourra pas dans la fosse, Et son pain ne lui manquera pas.
14מהר צעה להפתח ולא ימות לשחת ולא יחסר לחמו׃
15For I am Jehovah thy God, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
15Je suis l'Eternel, ton Dieu, Qui soulève la mer et fais mugir ses flots. L'Eternel des armées est son nom.
15ואנכי יהוה אלהיך רגע הים ויהמו גליו יהוה צבאות שמו׃
16And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
16Je mets mes paroles dans ta bouche, Et je te couvre de l'ombre de ma main, Pour étendre de nouveaux cieux et fonder une nouvelle terre, Et pour dire à Sion: Tu es mon peuple!
16ואשים דברי בפיך ובצל ידי כסיתיך לנטע שמים וליסד ארץ ולאמר לציון עמי אתה׃
17Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.
17Réveille-toi, réveille-toi! lève-toi, Jérusalem, Qui as bu de la main de l'Eternel la coupe de sa colère, Qui as bu, sucé jusqu'à la lie la coupe d'étourdissement!
17התעוררי התעוררי קומי ירושלם אשר שתית מיד יהוה את כוס חמתו את קבעת כוס התרעלה שתית מצית׃
18There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand among all the sons that she hath brought up.
18Il n'y en a aucun pour la conduire De tous les fils qu'elle a enfantés, Il n'y en a aucun pour la prendre par la main De tous les fils qu'elle a élevés.
18אין מנהל לה מכל בנים ילדה ואין מחזיק בידה מכל בנים גדלה׃
19These two things are befallen thee, who shall bemoan thee? desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort thee?
19Ces deux choses te sont arrivées: -Qui te plaindra? -Le ravage et la ruine, la famine et l'épée. -Qui suis-je pour te consoler? -
19שתים הנה קראתיך מי ינוד לך השד והשבר והרעב והחרב מי אנחמך׃
20Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.
20Tes fils en défaillance gisaient à tous les coins de rues, Comme le cerf dans un filet, Chargés de la colère de l'Eternel, Des menaces de ton Dieu.
20בניך עלפו שכבו בראש כל חוצות כתוא מכמר המלאים חמת יהוה גערת אלהיך׃
21Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but now with wine:
21C'est pourquoi, écoute ceci, malheureuse, Ivre, mais non de vin!
21לכן שמעי נא זאת עניה ושכרת ולא מיין׃
22Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:
22Ainsi parle ton Seigneur, l'Eternel, Ton Dieu, qui défend son peuple: Voici, je prends de ta main la coupe d'étourdissement, La coupe de ma colère; Tu ne la boiras plus!
22כה אמר אדניך יהוה ואלהיך יריב עמו הנה לקחתי מידך את כוס התרעלה את קבעת כוס חמתי לא תוסיפי לשתותה עוד׃
23and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee, that have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.
23Je la mettrai dans la main de tes oppresseurs, Qui te disaient: Courbe-toi, et nous passerons! Tu faisais alors de ton dos comme une terre, Comme une rue pour les passants.
23ושמתיה ביד מוגיך אשר אמרו לנפשך שחי ונעברה ותשימי כארץ גוך וכחוץ לעברים׃
