¹The word of Jehovah that came to Micah the Morashtite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

¹La parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Michée, de Moréscheth, au temps de Jotham, d'Achaz, d'Ezéchias, rois de Juda, prophétie sur Samarie et Jérusalem.

¹דבר יהוה אשר היה אל מיכה המרשתי בימי יותם אחז יחזקיה מלכי יהודה אשר חזה על שמרון וירושלם׃

²Hear, ye peoples, all of you: hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord Jehovah be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

²Ecoutez, vous tous, peuples! Sois attentive, terre, et ce qui est en toi! Que le Seigneur, l'Eternel, soit témoin contre vous, Le Seigneur qui est dans le palais de sa sainteté!

²שמעו עמים כלם הקשיבי ארץ ומלאה ויהי אדני יהוה בכם לעד אדני מהיכל קדשו׃

³For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

³Car voici, l'Eternel sort de sa demeure, Il descend, il marche sur les hauteurs de la terre.

³כי הנה יהוה יצא ממקומו וירד ודרך על במותי ארץ׃

⁴And the mountains shall be melted under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, as waters that are poured down a steep place.

⁴Sous lui les montagnes se fondent, Les vallées s'entr'ouvrent, Comme la cire devant le feu, Comme l'eau qui coule sur une pente.

⁴ונמסו ההרים תחתיו והעמקים יתבקעו כדונג מפני האש כמים מגרים במורד׃

⁵For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

⁵Et tout cela à cause du crime de Jacob, A cause des péchés de la maison d'Israël! Quel est le crime de Jacob? n'est-ce pas Samarie? Quels sont les hauts lieux de Juda? n'est-ce pas Jérusalem?...

⁵בפשע יעקב כל זאת ובחטאות בית ישראל מי פשע יעקב הלוא שמרון ומי במות יהודה הלוא ירושלם׃

⁶Therefore I will make Samaria as a heap of the field, [and] as places for planting vineyards; and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will uncover the foundations thereof.

⁶Je ferai de Samarie un monceau de pierres dans les champs, Un lieu pour planter de la vigne; Je précipiterai ses pierres dans la vallée, Je mettrai à nu ses fondements.

⁶ושמתי שמרון לעי השדה למטעי כרם והגרתי לגי אבניה ויסדיה אגלה׃

⁷And all her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her hires shall be burned with fire, and all her idols will I lay desolate; for of the hire of a harlot hath she gathered them, and unto the hire of a harlot shall they return.

⁷Toutes ses images taillées seront brisées, Tous ses salaires impurs seront brûlés au feu, Et je ravagerai toutes ses idoles: Recueillies avec le salaire de la prostitution, Elles deviendront un salaire de prostitutions...

⁷וכל פסיליה יכתו וכל אתנניה ישרפו באש וכל עצביה אשים שממה כי מאתנן זונה קבצה ועד אתנן זונה ישובו׃

⁸For this will I lament and wail; I will go stripped and naked; I will make a wailing like the jackals, and a lamentation like the ostriches.

⁸C'est pourquoi je pleurerai, je me lamenterai, Je marcherai déchaussé et nu, Je pousserai des cris comme le chacal, Et des gémissements comme l'autruche.

⁸על זאת אספדה ואילילה אילכה שילל וערום אעשה מספד כתנים ואבל כבנות יענה׃

⁹For her wounds are incurable; for it is come even unto Judah; it reacheth unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

⁹Car sa plaie est douloureuse; Elle s'étend jusqu'à Juda, Elle pénètre jusqu'à la porte de mon peuple, Jusqu'à Jérusalem.

⁹כי אנושה מכותיה כי באה עד יהודה נגע עד שער עמי עד ירושלם׃

¹⁰Tell it not in Gath, weep not at all: at Beth-le-aphrah have I rolled myself in the dust.

¹⁰Ne l'annoncez point dans Gath, Ne pleurez point dans Acco! Je me roule dans la poussière à Beth Leaphra.

¹⁰בגת אל תגידו בכו אל תבכו בבית לעפרה עפר התפלשתי׃

¹¹Pass away, O inhabitant of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame: the inhabitant of Zaanan is not come forth; the wailing of Beth-ezel shall take from you the stay thereof.

¹¹Passe, habitante de Schaphir, dans la nudité et la honte! L'habitante de Tsaanan n'ose sortir, Le deuil de Beth-Haëtsel vous prive de son abri.

¹¹עברי לכם יושבת שפיר עריה בשת לא יצאה יושבת צאנן מספד בית האצל יקח מכם עמדתו׃

¹²For the inhabitant of Maroth waiteth anxiously for good, because evil is come down from Jehovah unto the gate of Jerusalem.

¹²L'habitante de Maroth tremble pour son salut, Car le malheur est descendu de la part de l'Eternel Jusqu'à la porte de Jérusalem.

¹²כי חלה לטוב יושבת מרות כי ירד רע מאת יהוה לשער ירושלם׃

¹³Bind the chariot to the swift steed, O inhabitant of Lachish: she was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

¹³Attelle les coursiers à ton char, Habitante de Lakisch! Tu as été pour la fille de Sion une première cause de péché, Car en toi se sont trouvés les crimes d'Israël.

¹³רתם המרכבה לרכש יושבת לכיש ראשית חטאת היא לבת ציון כי בך נמצאו פשעי ישראל׃

¹⁴Therefore shalt thou give a parting gift to Moresheth-gath: the houses of Achzib shall be a deceitful thing unto the kings of Israel.

¹⁴C'est pourquoi tu renonceras à Moréschet-Gath; Les maisons d'Aczib seront une source trompeuse Pour les rois d'Israël.

¹⁴לכן תתני שלוחים על מורשת גת בתי אכזיב לאכזב למלכי ישראל׃

¹⁵I will yet bring unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah, him that shall possess thee: the glory of Israel shall come even unto Adullam.

¹⁵Je t'amènerai un nouveau maître, habitante de Maréscha; La gloire d'Israël s'en ira jusqu'à Adullam.

¹⁵עד הירש אבי לך יושבת מרשה עד עדלם יבוא כבוד ישראל׃

¹⁶Make thee bald, and cut off thy hair for the children of thy delight: enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

¹⁶Rase-toi, coupe ta chevelure, A cause de tes enfants chéris! Rends-toi chauve comme l'aigle, Car ils s'en vont en captivité loin de toi!

¹⁶קרחי וגזי על בני תענוגיך הרחבי קרחתך כנשר כי גלו ממך׃
