¹And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

¹L'ange qui parlait avec moi revint, et il me réveilla comme un homme que l'on réveille de son sommeil.

¹וישב המלאך הדבר בי ויעירני כאיש אשר יעור משנתו׃

²And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

²Il me dit: Que vois-tu? Je répondis: Je regarde, et voici, il y a un chandelier tout d'or, surmonté d'un vase et portant sept lampes, avec sept conduits pour les lampes qui sont au sommet du chandelier;

²ויאמר אלי מה אתה ראה ויאמר ראיתי והנה מנורת זהב כלה וגלה על ראשה ושבעה נרתיה עליה שבעה ושבעה מוצקות לנרות אשר על ראשה׃

³and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

³et il y a près de lui deux oliviers, l'un à la droite du vase, et l'autre à sa gauche.

³ושנים זיתים עליה אחד מימין הגלה ואחד על שמאלה׃

⁴And I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

⁴Et reprenant la parole, je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Que signifient ces choses, mon seigneur?

⁴ואען ואמר אל המלאך הדבר בי לאמר מה אלה אדני׃

⁵Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

⁵L'ange qui parlait avec moi me répondit: Ne sais-tu pas ce que signifient ces choses? Je dis: Non, mon seigneur.

⁵ויען המלאך הדבר בי ויאמר אלי הלוא ידעת מה המה אלה ואמר לא אדני׃

⁶Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁶Alors il reprit et me dit: C'est ici la parole que l'Eternel adresse à Zorobabel: Ce n'est ni par la puissance ni par la force, mais c'est par mon esprit, dit l'Eternel des armées.

⁶ויען ויאמר אלי לאמר זה דבר יהוה אל זרבבל לאמר לא בחיל ולא בכח כי אם ברוחי אמר יהוה צבאות׃

⁷Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.

⁷Qui es-tu, grande montagne, devant Zorobabel? Tu seras aplanie. Il posera la pierre principale au milieu des acclamations: Grâce, grâce pour elle!

⁷מי אתה הר הגדול לפני זרבבל למישר והוציא את האבן הראשה תשאות חן חן לה׃

⁸Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

⁸La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:

⁸ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃

⁹The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.

⁹Les mains de Zorobabel ont fondé cette maison, et ses mains l'achèveront; et tu sauras que l'Eternel des armées m'a envoyé vers vous.

⁹ידי זרבבל יסדו הבית הזה וידיו תבצענה וידעת כי יהוה צבאות שלחני אלכם׃

¹⁰For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; [these are] the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

¹⁰Car ceux qui méprisaient le jour des faibles commencements se réjouiront en voyant le niveau dans la main de Zorobabel. Ces sept sont les yeux de l'Eternel, qui parcourent toute la terre.

¹⁰כי מי בז ליום קטנות ושמחו וראו את האבן הבדיל ביד זרבבל שבעה אלה עיני יהוה המה משוטטים בכל הארץ׃

¹¹Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

¹¹Je pris la parole et je lui dis: Que signifient ces deux oliviers, à la droite du chandelier et à sa gauche?

¹¹ואען ואמר אליו מה שני הזיתים האלה על ימין המנורה ועל שמאולה׃

¹²And I answered the second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?

¹²Je pris une seconde fois la parole, et je lui dis: Que signifient les deux rameaux d'olivier, qui sont près des deux conduits d'or d'où découle l'or?

¹²ואען שנית ואמר אליו מה שתי שבלי הזיתים אשר ביד שני צנתרות הזהב המריקים מעליהם הזהב׃

¹³And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

¹³Il me répondit: Ne sais-tu pas ce qu'ils signifient? Je dis: Non, mon seigneur.

¹³ויאמר אלי לאמר הלוא ידעת מה אלה ואמר לא אדני׃

¹⁴Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

¹⁴Et il dit: Ce sont les deux oints qui se tiennent devant le Seigneur de toute la terre.

¹⁴ויאמר אלה שני בני היצהר העמדים על אדון כל הארץ׃
