1And the word of Jehovah of hosts came [to me], saying,
1La parole de l'Eternel des armées se révéla, en ces mots:
1ויהי דבר יהוה צבאות לאמר׃
2Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.
2Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Je suis ému pour Sion d'une grande jalousie, et je suis saisi pour elle d'une grande fureur.
2כה אמר יהוה צבאות קנאתי לציון קנאה גדולה וחמה גדולה קנאתי לה׃
3Thus saith Jehovah: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain.
3Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Je retourne à Sion, et je veux habiter au milieu de Jérusalem. Jérusalem sera appelée ville fidèle, et la montagne de l'Eternel des armées montagne sainte.
3כה אמר יהוה שבתי אל ציון ושכנתי בתוך ירושלם ונקראה ירושלם עיר האמת והר יהוה צבאות הר הקדש׃
4Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
4Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Des vieillards et des femmes âgées s'assiéront encore dans les rues de Jérusalem, chacun le bâton à la main, à cause du grand nombre de leurs jours.
4כה אמר יהוה צבאות עד ישבו זקנים וזקנות ברחבות ירושלם ואיש משענתו בידו מרב ימים׃
5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
5Les rues de la ville seront remplies de jeunes garçons et de jeunes filles, jouant dans les rues.
5ורחבות העיר ימלאו ילדים וילדות משחקים ברחבתיה׃
6Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith Jehovah of hosts.
6Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Si la chose paraît étonnante aux yeux du reste de ce peuple en ces jours-là, sera-t-elle de même étonnante à mes yeux? dit l'Eternel des armées.
6כה אמר יהוה צבאות כי יפלא בעיני שארית העם הזה בימים ההם גם בעיני יפלא נאם יהוה צבאות׃
7Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
7Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Voici, je délivre mon peuple du pays de l'orient et du pays du soleil couchant.
7כה אמר יהוה צבאות הנני מושיע את עמי מארץ מזרח ומארץ מבוא השמש׃
8and I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
8Je les ramènerai, et ils habiteront au milieu de Jérusalem; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu avec vérité et droiture.
8והבאתי אתם ושכנו בתוך ירושלם והיו לי לעם ואני אהיה להם לאלהים באמת ובצדקה׃
9Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets that were in the day that the foundation of the house of Jehovah of hosts was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.
9Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Fortifiez vos mains, vous qui entendez aujourd'hui ces paroles de la bouche des prophètes qui parurent au temps où fut fondée la maison de l'Eternel des armées, où le temple allait être bâti.
9כה אמר יהוה צבאות תחזקנה ידיכם השמעים בימים האלה את הדברים האלה מפי הנביאים אשר ביום יסד בית יהוה צבאות ההיכל להבנות׃
10For before those days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in, because of the adversary: for I set all men every one against his neighbor.
10Car avant ce temps, le travail de l'homme ne recevait pas sa récompense, et le salaire des bêtes était nul; il n'y avait point de paix pour ceux qui entraient et sortaient, à cause de l'ennemi, et je lâchais tous les hommes les uns contre les autres.
10כי לפני הימים ההם שכר האדם לא נהיה ושכר הבהמה איננה וליוצא ולבא אין שלום מן הצר ואשלח את כל האדם איש ברעהו׃
11But now I will not be unto the remnant of this people as in the former days, saith Jehovah of hosts.
11Maintenant je ne suis pas pour le reste de ce peuple comme j'étais dans le temps passé, dit l'Eternel des armées.
11ועתה לא כימים הראשנים אני לשארית העם הזה נאם יהוה צבאות׃
12For [there shall be] the seed of peace; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.
12Car les semailles prospéreront, la vigne rendra son fruit, la terre donnera ses produits, et les cieux enverront leur rosée; je ferai jouir de toutes ces choses le reste de ce peuple.
12כי זרע השלום הגפן תתן פריה והארץ תתן את יבולה והשמים יתנו טלם והנחלתי את שארית העם הזה את כל אלה׃
13And it shall come to pass that, as ye were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing. Fear not, [but] let your hands be strong.
13De même que vous avez été en malédiction parmi les nations, maison de Juda et maison d'Israël, de même je vous sauverai, et vous serez en bénédiction. Ne craignez pas, et que vos mains se fortifient!
13והיה כאשר הייתם קללה בגוים בית יהודה ובית ישראל כן אושיע אתכם והייתם ברכה אל תיראו תחזקנה ידיכם׃
14For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: As I thought to do evil unto you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I repented not;
14Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Comme j'ai eu la pensée de vous faire du mal lorsque vos pères m'irritaient, dit l'Eternel des armées, et que je ne m'en suis point repenti,
14כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות כאשר זממתי להרע לכם בהקציף אבתיכם אתי אמר יהוה צבאות ולא נחמתי׃
15so again have I thought in these days to do good unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
15ainsi je reviens en arrière et j'ai résolu en ces jours de faire du bien à Jérusalem et à la maison de Juda. Ne craignez pas!
15כן שבתי זממתי בימים האלה להיטיב את ירושלם ואת בית יהודה אל תיראו׃
16These are the things that ye shall do: speak ye every man the truth with his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates;
16Voici ce que vous devez faire: dites la vérité chacun à son prochain; jugez dans vos portes selon la vérité et en vue de la paix;
16אלה הדברים אשר תעשו דברו אמת איש את רעהו אמת ומשפט שלום שפטו בשעריכם׃
17and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith Jehovah.
17que nul en son coeur ne pense le mal contre son prochain, et n'aimez pas le faux serment, car ce sont là toutes choses que je hais, dit l'Eternel.
17ואיש את רעת רעהו אל תחשבו בלבבכם ושבעת שקר אל תאהבו כי את כל אלה אשר שנאתי נאם יהוה׃
18And the word of Jehovah of hosts came unto me, saying,
18La parole de l'Eternel des armées me fut adressée, en ces mots:
18ויהי דבר יהוה צבאות אלי לאמר׃
19Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth [month], and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace.
19Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Le jeûne du quatrième mois, le jeûne du cinquième, le jeûne du septième et le jeûne du dixième se changeront pour la maison de Juda en jours d'allégresse et de joie, en fêtes de réjouissance. Mais aimez la vérité et la paix.
19כה אמר יהוה צבאות צום הרביעי וצום החמישי וצום השביעי וצום העשירי יהיה לבית יהודה לששון ולשמחה ולמעדים טובים והאמת והשלום אהבו׃
20Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: [It shall] yet [come to pass], that there shall come peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;
20Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Il viendra encore des peuples et des habitants d'un grand nombre de villes.
20כה אמר יהוה צבאות עד אשר יבאו עמים וישבי ערים רבות׃
21and the inhabitants of one [city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah, and to seek Jehovah of hosts: I will go also.
21Les habitants d'une ville iront à l'autre, en disant: Allons implorer l'Eternel et chercher l'Eternel des armées! Nous irons aussi!
21והלכו ישבי אחת אל אחת לאמר נלכה הלוך לחלות את פני יהוה ולבקש את יהוה צבאות אלכה גם אני׃
22Yea, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Jehovah.
22Et beaucoup de peuples et de nombreuses nations viendront chercher l'Eternel des armées à Jérusalem et implorer l'Eternel.
22ובאו עמים רבים וגוים עצומים לבקש את יהוה צבאות בירושלם ולחלות את פני יהוה׃
23Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: In those days [it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.
23Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: En ces jours-là, dix hommes de toutes les langues des nations saisiront un Juif par le pan de son vêtement et diront: Nous irons avec vous, car nous avons appris que Dieu est avec vous.
23כה אמר יהוה צבאות בימים ההמה אשר יחזיקו עשרה אנשים מכל לשנות הגוים והחזיקו בכנף איש יהודי לאמר נלכה עמכם כי שמענו אלהים עמכם׃
