¹Moreover the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of Jehovah's house, which looketh eastward: and behold, at the door of the gate five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

¹Lalu aku diangkat oleh Roh Allah dan dibawa ke pintu gerbang Timur di Rumah TUHAN. Di situ kulihat 25 orang, di antaranya terdapat dua pemimpin bangsa, yaitu Yaazanya anak Azur dan Pelaca anak Benaya.

²And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and that give wicked counsel in this city;

²Allah berkata kepadaku, "Hai manusia fana, inilah orang-orang yang merencanakan kejahatan di kota ini dan memberi nasihat yang menyesatkan.

³that say, [The time] is not near to build houses: this [city] is the caldron, and we are the flesh.

³Oleh sebab itu sampaikanlah pesan-Ku tentang hukuman bagi mereka, hai manusia fana. Sebab mereka mengatakan, 'Tak lama lagi rumah-rumah ini akan kita bangun kembali. Kota ini adalah periuk dan kitalah daging di dalamnya. Kita akan aman dari kecamuk api karena dilindungi oleh periuk ini.'"

⁴Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.

⁴(11:3)

⁵And the Spirit of Jehovah fell upon me, and he said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

⁵Kemudian Roh TUHAN meliputi aku, dan aku disuruh TUHAN berkata kepada umat Israel, "Hai bangsa Israel, Aku tahu apa yang kamu katakan dan yang kamu rencanakan.

⁶Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.

⁶Begitu banyak orang yang telah kamu bunuh, sehingga jalan-jalan kota penuh mayat.

⁷Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and this [city] is the caldron; but ye shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.

⁷Sebab itu, Aku, TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi, berkata kepadamu: Memang, kota ini adalah periuk, tetapi daging di dalamnya bukan kamu, melainkan mayat orang-orang yang telah kamu bunuh! Sedangkan kamu akan Kuusir keluar dari kota ini!

⁸Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword upon you, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁸Takutkah kamu kepada pedang? Akan Kudatangkan orang yang membawa pedang untuk menyerangmu.

⁹And I will bring you forth out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

⁹Kamu akan Kubawa keluar dari kota dan Kuserahkan kepada orang asing. Aku telah menjatuhkan hukuman mati atas kamu.

¹⁰Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the border of Israel; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁰Kamu akan tewas dalam peperangan di negerimu sendiri, maka tahulah kamu bahwa Akulah TUHAN.

¹¹This [city] shall not be your caldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst thereof; I will judge you in the border of Israel;

¹¹Jadi, kamu tidak akan aman di dalam kota ini, tidak seperti daging di dalam sebuah periuk. Aku akan mengejar dan menghukum kamu di mana pun kamu berada di negeri Israel.

¹²and ye shall know that I am Jehovah: for ye have not walked in my statutes, neither have ye executed mine ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.

¹²Maka tahulah kamu bahwa Akulah TUHAN dan kamu Kuhukum karena telah melanggar peraturan-peraturan-Ku dan mengabaikan perintah-perintah-Ku dengan mengikuti hukum-hukum bangsa-bangsa di sekelilingmu."

¹³And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord Jehovah! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?

¹³Sementara aku mengucapkan perkataan itu, tiba-tiba saja Pelaca jatuh lalu mati. Maka aku pun sujud dan berseru, "Aduh TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi! Apakah seluruh sisa Israel ini hendak Kaubunuh?"

¹⁴And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁴TUHAN berkata kepadaku lagi,

¹⁵Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them, [are they] unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from Jehovah; unto us is this land given for a possession.

¹⁵"Hai manusia fana, engkau dan teman-temanmu dalam pembuangan sedang dipercakapkan oleh penduduk Yerusalem. Kata mereka, 'Orang-orang buangan itu terlalu jauh dari Yerusalem untuk beribadat kepada TUHAN. Tanah Israel sudah diberikan TUHAN kepada kita.'

¹⁶Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.

¹⁶Sebab itu, sampaikanlah pesan-Ku ini kepada teman-temanmu dalam pembuangan, bahwa Akulah yang membawa mereka jauh-jauh ke antara bangsa-bangsa dan menyebarkan mereka di negeri-negeri itu. Namun sementara mereka ada di sana, Aku akan mendampingi mereka.

¹⁷Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

¹⁷Aku, TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi, menyatakan bahwa Aku akan mengumpulkan mereka dari negeri-negeri di tempat mereka tersebar, lalu mengembalikan tanah Israel kepada mereka.

¹⁸And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.

¹⁸Bila mereka pulang, mereka akan membuang semua berhala yang keji dan menjijikkan yang mereka temukan.

¹⁹And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;

¹⁹Mereka akan Kuberi hati yang baru dan budi yang baru. Hati mereka yang sekeras batu akan Kuambil dan Kuganti dengan hati yang taat kepada-Ku.

²⁰that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

²⁰Maka mereka akan mentaati peraturan-peraturan-Ku dan setia menuruti segala perintah-Ku. Mereka akan menjadi umat-Ku dan Aku menjadi Allah mereka.

²¹But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.

²¹Tetapi orang-orang yang suka menyembah berhala-berhala yang keji dan menjijikkan akan Kuhukum karena kelakuan mereka yang jahat itu." Demikianlah kata TUHAN Yang Mahatinggi.

²²Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

²²Kerub-kerub itu mulai terbang dan roda-roda itu ikut juga. Cahaya kemilau yang menandakan kehadiran Allah Israel ada di atas mereka.

²³And the glory of Jehovah went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

²³Kemudian cahaya kemilau itu meninggalkan Yerusalem dan pindah ke gunung di sebelah timur kota itu.

²⁴And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

²⁴Dalam penglihatan itu, Roh Allah mengangkat aku dan mengembalikan aku kepada orang-orang buangan di Babel. Kemudian menghilanglah penglihatan itu.

²⁵Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the things that Jehovah had showed me.

²⁵Lalu aku menceritakan kepada orang-orang buangan segala yang diperlihatkan TUHAN kepadaku.
