¹Now Joshua was old and well stricken in years; and Jehovah said unto him, Thou art old and well stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

¹Sekarang Yosua sudah tua sekali. TUHAN berkata kepada Yosua, "Kau sudah tua, Yosua! Tetapi masih banyak daerah yang harus direbut:

²This is the land that yet remaineth: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites;

²seluruh wilayah Filistin dan Gesur,

³from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the border of Ekron northward, [which] is reckoned to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim,

³dan seluruh wilayah Awi ke arah selatan. (Daerah dari Sungai Sikhor di perbatasan Mesir sampai ke perbatasan Ekron di sebelah utara, seluruhnya itu terhitung daerah bangsa Kanaan; dan raja-raja Filistin tinggal di Gaza, Asdod, Askelon, Gat dan Ekron.)

⁴on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongeth to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;

⁴Juga masih harus direbut: seluruh daerah Kanaan dan Meara (milik bangsa Sidon), sampai ke Afek di perbatasan daerah bangsa Amori;

⁵and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entrance of Hamath;

⁵selanjutnya daerah bangsa Gebal, dan seluruh daerah Libanon ke arah timur, dari Baal-Gad di sebelah selatan Gunung Hermon, terus sampai ke jalan yang menuju ke Hamat.

⁶all the inhabitants of the hill-country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only allot thou it unto Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

⁶Termasuk juga seluruh daerah orang Sidon, yang tinggal di daerah pegunungan antara gunung-gunung Libanon dan Misrefot-Maim." "Semua bangsa-bangsa itu akan Kuusir nanti, pada waktu umat Israel memerangi mereka," kata TUHAN selanjutnya kepada Yosua. "Tanah itu harus kaubagi-bagikan kepada umat Israel untuk menjadi tanah milik mereka, seperti yang sudah Kuperintahkan kepadamu.

⁷Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

⁷Jadi, sekarang bagi-bagikanlah tanah itu kepada sembilan suku dalam bangsa Israel, dan kepada separuh dari suku Manasye, supaya itu menjadi tanah milik mereka."

⁸With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them:

⁸Suku Ruben dan Gad serta separuh suku Manasye sudah menerima bagian tanah dari Musa, hamba TUHAN itu; yaitu tanah di sebelah timur Sungai Yordan.

⁹from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;

⁹Wilayah mereka meliputi Aroer (di tepi Lembah Sungai Arnon), dan kota yang di tengah-tengah lembah itu. Juga seluruh daerah dataran tinggi dari Medeba sampai ke Dibon

¹⁰and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;

¹⁰dan sampai ke perbatasan daerah Amon, termasuk semua kota yang pernah dikuasai oleh Sihon, raja Amori, yang berkedudukan di Hesybon.

¹¹and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salecah;

¹¹Juga termasuk daerah Gilead, daerah sekitar Gesur dan Maakha, serta seluruh Gunung Hermon, dan seluruh daerah Basan sampai ke Salkha.

¹²all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (the same was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for these did Moses smite, and drove them out.

¹²Daerah mereka juga meliputi daerah kekuasaan Raja Og, orang Refaim terakhir yang memerintah di Asytarot dan Edrei. Musa sudah mengalahkan bangsa-bangsa itu dan mengusir mereka keluar dari daerah mereka.

¹³Nevertheless the children of Israel drove not out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel unto this day.

¹³Tetapi penduduk Gesur dan Maakha tidak diusir oleh orang Israel; mereka masih tinggal di Israel.

¹⁴Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance; the offerings of Jehovah, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spake unto him.

¹⁴Suku Lewi tidak menerima bagian tanah dari Musa, sebab TUHAN sudah mengatakan kepada Musa bahwa bagian suku Lewi ialah dari kurban-kurban yang dibakar di mezbah untuk TUHAN Allah Israel.

¹⁵And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families.

¹⁵Sebagian dari tanah yang dijanjikan TUHAN kepada umat Israel itu sudah diberikan Musa kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Ruben, untuk menjadi tanah milik mereka.

¹⁶And their border was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba;

¹⁶Wilayah mereka itu meliputi Aroer (di tepi Lembah Sungai Arnon) dan kota yang di tengah-tengah lembah itu sampai ke seluruh dataran tinggi sekitar Medeba;

¹⁷Heshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,

¹⁷juga Hesybon dan semua kota di dataran tinggi itu, yaitu: Dibon, Bamot-Baal, Bet-Baal-Meon,

¹⁸and Jahaz, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

¹⁸Yahas, Kedemot, Mefaat,

¹⁹and Kiriathaim, and Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar in the mount of the valley,

¹⁹Kiryataim, Sibma, Zeret-Hasahar yang terletak di atas bukit di lembah itu,

²⁰and Beth-peor, and the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,

²⁰Bet-Peor, lereng-lereng Gunung Pisga, dan Bet-Yesimot.

²¹and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the chiefs of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon, that dwelt in the land.

²¹Selanjutnya termasuk pula semua kota di dataran tinggi itu, dan seluruh daerah kekuasaan Sihon, raja bangsa Amori, yang dahulunya berkedudukan di Hesybon. Dia dan penguasa-penguasa Midian pun, yaitu: Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur dan Reba, sudah dikalahkan oleh Musa. Semua penguasa itu pernah memerintah negeri itu untuk Raja Sihon.

²²Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among the rest of their slain.

²²Di antara orang-orang yang dibunuh oleh bangsa Israel terdapat juga Bileam anak Beor, si peramal.

²³And the border of the children of Reuben was the Jordan, and the border [thereof]. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

²³Sungai Yordan merupakan batas bagian barat wilayah suku Ruben. Itulah kota-kota dan desa-desa yang diberikan kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Ruben untuk menjadi tanah milik mereka.

²⁴And Moses gave unto the tribe of Gad, unto the children of Gad, according to their families.

²⁴Sebagian dari tanah yang dijanjikan TUHAN kepada umat Israel itu juga telah diberikan Musa kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Gad, untuk menjadi milik mereka.

²⁵And their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;

²⁵Wilayah mereka meliputi Yaezer dan semua kota di Gilead serta separuh dari daerah bangsa Amon sampai sejauh Aroer di sebelah timur Raba;

²⁶and from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;

²⁶daerah dari Hesybon sampai ke Ramat-Mizpa dan Betonim, serta daerah dari Mahanaim sampai ke perbatasan Lodebar, semuanya itu termasuk juga wilayah untuk suku Gad.

²⁷and in the valley, Beth-haram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and the border [thereof], unto the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.

²⁷Di Lembah Yordan, wilayah suku Gad itu meliputi Bet-Haram, Bet-Nimra, Sukot, dan Zafon, yaitu sisa daerah kekuasaan Raja Sihon di Hesybon. Perbatasan bagian barat wilayah suku Gad itu adalah Sungai Yordan sampai sejauh Danau Galilea di sebelah utara.

²⁸This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and the villages thereof.

²⁸Itulah kota-kota dan desa-desa yang diberikan kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam suku Gad untuk menjadi tanah milik mereka.

²⁹And Moses gave [inheritance] unto the half-tribe of Manasseh: and it was for the half-tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families.

²⁹Sebagian dari tanah yang dijanjikan TUHAN kepada umat Israel itu juga sudah diberikan Musa kepada keluarga-keluarga dalam separuh dari suku Manasye untuk menjadi milik mereka.

³⁰And their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:

³⁰Batas-batas wilayah mereka sampai ke Mahanaim, termasuk seluruh Basan--yaitu seluruh wilayah kekuasaan Og, raja Basan, dan juga keenam puluh kampung-kampung Yair di Basan.

³¹and half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the children of Machir according to their families.

³¹Selanjutnya termasuk juga separuh daerah Gilead, serta Asytarot dan Edrei, yaitu kedua ibu kota wilayah kekuasaan Raja Og di Basan. Seluruh daerah itu diberikan kepada separuh dari keluarga-keluarga keturunan Makhir, anak Manasye.

³²These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward.

³²Begitulah Musa membagi tanah di sebelah timur Yerikho, di seberang Sungai Yordan, ketika ia berada di dataran rendah Moab.

³³But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance: Jehovah, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spake unto them.

³³Tetapi suku Lewi tidak mendapat tanah sedikit pun dari Musa. Musa mengatakan kepada mereka bahwa bagian yang diberikan kepada mereka adalah dari kurban-kurban yang dipersembahkan kepada TUHAN Allah Israel.
