1A Psalm of David. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice: Unto thee, O Jehovah, will I sing praises.
1Mazmur Daud. Aku mau menyanyi tentang kesetiaan dan keadilan, bagi-Mu, ya TUHAN, nyanyian pujianku!
2I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way: Oh when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
2Aku mau memperhatikan cara hidup yang tak bercela. Bilakah Engkau datang kepadaku? Aku mau hidup suci di rumahku,
3I will set no base thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; It shall not cleave unto me.
3kejahatan tak akan kubiarkan. Kubenci perbuatan orang murtad, dan tak mau berurusan dengan mereka.
4A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will know no evil thing.
4Aku tak mau berlaku curang dan tak mau terlibat dalam kejahatan.
5Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I destroy: Him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.
5Orang yang memfitnah dengan diam-diam akan kubinasakan. Orang yang sombong dan tinggi hati tak akan kubiarkan.
6Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: He that walketh in a perfect way, he shall minister unto me.
6Kusukai orang yang setia kepada Allah; mereka boleh tinggal di rumahku. Orang yang hidup tanpa cela boleh melayani aku.
7He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: He that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes.
7Penipu tak boleh tinggal di rumahku; pembohong tak akan tahan di hadapanku.
8Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
8Dari hari ke hari aku akan membasmi orang-orang jahat di negeri ini. Semua orang yang melakukan kejahatan akan kulenyapkan dari kota TUHAN.
