1Now these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Jehovah spake with Moses in mount Sinai.
1परमेश्वर सीनाय पर्वतावर मोशेशी बोलला त्याकाळची अहरोन व मोशे ह्यांची वंशावळ अशी:
2And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2अहरोनाला चार मुलगे होते. नादाब हा थोरला मुलगा, त्यानंतरचे अबीहू, एलाजार व इथामार.
3These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests that were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.
3अहरोनाचे हे मुलगे याजक ह्यां नात्याने परमेश्वराची पवित्र सेवा करण्यासाठी निवडले होते व त्यांचा अभिषेक करण्यात आला होता;
4And Nadab and Abihu died before Jehovah, when they offered strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the presence of Aaron their father.
4परंतु नादाब व अबीहू परमेश्वराची सेवा करिताना सीनाय रानात मरण पावले. त्यांनी परमेश्वराकरिता यज्ञ अर्पण केला परंतु त्यासाठी त्यांनी परमेशवराला मान्य नसलेल्या प्रकारे अग्नीचा उपयोग केला. त्यांना मुलगे नव्हते म्हणून एलाजार व इथामर हे आपला बाप अहरोन हयात असताना याजक होऊन परमेश्वराची सेवा करीत असत.
5And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
5परमेशवर मोशेला म्हणाला,
6Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him.
6“लेवी वंशातील सर्व लोकांना अहरोन याजकाकडे आण म्हणजे ते त्याचे मदतनीस होतील.
7And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.
7अहरोन दर्शनमंडपात सेवा करताना लेवी लोक त्याला मदत करतील आणि इस्राएल लोक परमेश्वराची सेवा करण्यास दर्शनमंडपात येतील तेव्हा त्या लोकांना मदत करतील.
8And they shall keep all the furniture of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8इस्राएल लोकांनी दर्शनमंडपातील सर्व वस्तूचे रक्षण करावे. ते त्यांचे काम आहे परंतु त्या वस्तूची निगा राखण्यामुळे लेवी लोक इस्राएल लोकांची मदत करतील. पवित्रनिवास मंडपात त्यांनी ह्याप्रकारे सेवा करावी.
9And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him on the behalf of the children of Israel.
9“लेवी लोकांना अहरोन व त्याचे मुलगे ह्यांच्या ताब्यात दे. त्यांना सर्व इस्राएल लोकांनी अहरोन व त्याचे मुलगे ह्यांची मदत करण्यासाठी निवडले आहे.
10And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
10“अहरोन व त्याचे मुलगे ह्यांची याजक म्हणून नेमणूक कर. त्यांनी याजक म्हणून आपले सेवेचे काम करावे. कोणी दुसरा पवित्र वस्तूच्याजवळ येऊन सेवा करण्याचा प्रयत्न करु लागला तर त्याला जिवे मारावे.”
11And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
11परमेश्वर मोशेला आणखी म्हणाला,
12And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the first-born that openeth the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine:
12“इस्राएल लोकांतील प्रथम जन्मलेल्यांच्या ऐवजी मी आता माझी सेवा करण्यासाठी लेवी वंशातील लोकांना निवडून घेत आहे. लेवी माझेच असतील तेव्हा आता इतर इस्राएल लोकांना त्यांचे प्रथम जन्मलेले मुलगे मला द्यावे लागणार नाहीत.
13for all the first-born are mine; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the first-born in Israel, both man and beast; mine they shall be: I am Jehovah.
13“जेव्हा तुम्ही मिसर देशात होता तेव्हा त्या मिसरच्या लोकांचे प्रथम जन्मलेले मुलगे मी मारुन टाकले. त्याच दिवशी इस्राएल लोकांतील पुरषांपैकी व पशूपैकी प्रथम जन्मलेले सर्व मी आपणासाठी घेतले. ते माझेच आहेत. परंतु तुमची प्रथम जन्मलेली मुले तुमचीच राहातील व फकत लेवी माझे होतील. मी परमेश्वर आहे.”
14And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,
14परमेश्वर सीनाय रानात पुन्हा मोशेशी बोलला. तो म्हणाला,
15Number the children of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.
15“लेवी वंशातील जितके पुरुष व एक महिन्याचे किंवा त्याहून अधिक वयाची मुले असतील त्यांची, त्यांच्या कुळाप्रमाणे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांच्या घराण्याप्रमाणे गणती कर.”
16And Moses numbered them according to the word of Jehovah, as he was commanded.
16म्हणून मोशेने देवाची आज्ञा मानून त्यांची गणती केली.
17And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.
17लेवीला गेर्षोन, कहाथ व मरारी नांवाचे तीन मुलगे होते.
18And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.
18प्रत्येक मुलगा अनेक कुळांचा पुढारी होता. गेर्षोनाचे मुलगे त्यांच्या कुळाप्रमाणे; लिब्नी व शिमी.
19And the sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
19कहाथाचे मुलगे त्यांच्या कुळाप्रमाणे हे: अम्राम, इसहार, हेब्रोन व उजीयेल.
20And the sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.
20मरारीचे मुलगे त्यांच्या कुळाप्रमाणे हे: माहली व मूशी. ही लेवी कुळातील घराणी होत.
21Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites.
21गेर्षोनापासून लिब्नी व शिमी ही कुळे चालू झाली ही गेर्षोनी कुळे.
22Those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those that were numbered of them were seven thousand and five hundred.
22ह्या दोन कुळात एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे मुलगे व पुरुष मिळून सात हजार पाचशे होते.
23The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.
23गेर्षोने कुळांनी त्यांना सांगितल्याप्रमाणे पश्चिमेच्या बाजूस पवित्र निवासस्थानाच्या मागे आपले डेरे ठोकले.
24And the prince of the fathers' house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
24लायेलाचा मुलगा एल्यासाप हा गेर्षोनी घराण्याचा सरदार होता.
25And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the Tent, the covering thereof, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,
25दर्शन मंडपातील पवित्र निवास मंडप, बाह्य मंडप आणि आच्छादन यांची निगा राखण्याचे काम गेर्षोनी लोकांवर सोपविण्यात आले. दर्शन मंडपाच्या प्रवेश द्वारावरील पडद्याचीही निगा त्यांच्यावर सोपवली होती.
26and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.
26पवित्र निवास मंडप व वेदी ह्यांच्या सभोंवतीच्या अंगणाचे पडदे, अंगणाच्या दाराचा पडदा, त्यांच्यासाठी लागणारे तणावे व इतर सामान ह्यांची निगा राखण्याची जबाबदारी त्यांनी घेतली.
27And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
27कहाथापासून अम्राम, इसहार, हेब्रोन व उजीयेल ही कुळे चालू झाली; ही कहाथी कुळे.
28According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.
28हया कुळात एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे मुलगे व पुरुष आठ हजार सहाशे होते. पवित्रस्थळातील वस्तूची निगा राखण्याचे काम कहाथी कुळांना देण्यात आले.
29The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.
29त्यांना पवित्र निवास मंडपाचा दक्षिणेकडचा भाग देण्यात आला, तेव्हा तेथे त्यांनी आपली छावणी उभारली.
30And the prince of the fathers' house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
30उजीयेलाचा मुलगा अलीसापान हा कहाथी घराण्याचा पुढारी होता.
31And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the screen, and all the service thereof.
31पवित्र कराराचा कोश, मेज, दीपवृक्ष, वेद्या, पवित्र मंडपात सेवेसाठी असलेली पात्रे, पडदा व इतर सर्व सामान ह्यांची देखभाल करण्याची जबाबदारी त्यांनी घेतली.
32And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, [and have] the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.
32अहरोनाचा मुलगा एलाजार याजक हा लेवी लोकांच्या पुढऱ्यांचा पुढारी होता. पवित्र वस्तूचे रक्षण करण्याचे काम ज्यांच्यावर सोपविले होते त्या सर्वांवर देखरेख करणारा तो प्रमुख होता.
33Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.
33मरारीपासून माहली व मुशी ही घराणी चालू झाली ही मरारी कुळे.
34And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.
34ह्या कुळात एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वचाये मुलगे व पुरुष सहा हजार दोनशें होते.
35And the prince of the fathers' house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.
35अबीहाईलाचा मुलगा सूरीएल हा मरारी घराण्याचा पुढारी होता. ह्या कुळांना पवित्र निवास मंडपाच्या उत्तरेकडचा भाग दिला होता तेव्हा त्यांनी तेथे आपल छावणी ठोकली.
36And the appointed charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the instruments thereof, and all the service thereof,
36मरारीवंशातील लोकांना पवित्र निवास मंडपाच्या फळ्या व त्यांचे सर्व अडसर, खांब व उथळ्या आणि पवित्र निवास मंडपाच्या फळ्यांशी निगडीत अशा सर्व सामानाची निगा राखण्याचे काम देण्यात आले;
37and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.
37तसेच पवित्र निवास मंडपाच्या अंगणासभोंवतीचे सर्व खांब, त्यांच्या बैठका-उथळ्या-मेखा आणि तणाव्याचे दोर ह्यांची ही देखभाल करण्याचे काम त्यांनी घेतले.
38And those that encamp before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrising, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
38मोशे, अहरोन व त्याचे मुलगे ह्यांची छावणी दर्शनमंडपाच्या समोर असलेल्या पवित्र निवास मंडपाच्या पूर्वेस होती. इस्राएल लोकांच्यावतीने पवित्र निवासस्थानाच्या रक्षणाचे काम त्यांना देण्यात आले. सर्व इस्राएलाकरिता त्यांनी हे काम केले. कोणी दुसरा पवित्र निवासस्थानाजवळ आल्यास त्याला जिवे मारावे असा त्यांना आदेश होता.
39All that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of Jehovah, by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
39लेवी वंशातील एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे मुलगे व पुरुष ह्यांची गणती करण्यास परमेश्वराने मोशे व अहरोन ह्यांना सांगितले, तेव्हा पुरुष लेवीयांची एकूण संख्या बावीस हजार भरली.
40And Jehovah said unto Moses, Number all the first-born males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
40परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला, “इस्राएल लोकांपैकी जितके प्रथम जन्मलेले, एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे मुलगे व पुरुष असतील त्यांच्या नांवाची एक यादी तयार कर;
41And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel:
41आता मी इस्राएलाचे प्रथम जन्मलेले मुलगे व पुरुष घेणार नाही, त्या ऐवजी मी परमेश्वर, लेवी वंशाचे लोक घेईन, तसेच इस्राएल लोकांच्या प्रथम जन्मलेल्या पशूंच्या ऐवजी लेवी लोकांच्या पशूंचे प्रथम जन्मलेले घेईन.”
42and Moses numbered, as Jehovah commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel.
42तेव्हा मोशेने परमेश्वराच्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे केले, त्याने इस्राएल लोकांच्या प्रथम जन्मलेल्या सर्वाची गणती केली.
43And all the first-born males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and threescore and thirteen.
43मोशेने प्रथम जन्मलेले एक महिन्याचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे जे इस्राएल मुलगे व पुरुष होते त्यांच्या नांवाची यादी केली. त्या यादीत बावीस हजार दोनशे त्र्याहत्तर नांवे होती.
44And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
44परमेश्वर मोशेला आणखी म्हणाला,
45Take the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah.
45“मी परमेश्वर तुला अशी आज्ञा देतो की इस्राएलांच्या प्रथम जन्मलेल्या ऐवजी तू लेवी लोक घे; आणि इस्राएलांच्या पशू ऐवजी मी लेवी लोकांचे पशू घेतो, कारण लेवी माझे लोक आहेत.
46And for the redemption of the two hundred and threescore and thirteen of the first-born of the children of Israel, that are over and above [the number of] the Levites,
46लेवी लोक बावीस हजार आहेत आणि इस्राएल लोकांच्या कुळात प्रथम जन्मलेले बावीस हजार दोनशे त्र्याहत्तर आहेत. म्हणजे इस्राएलातील प्रथम जन्मलेल्यांपैकी दोनशे त्र्याहत्तर मुलगे अधिक शिल्लक राहातात.
47thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll; after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs):
47त्यांना सोडवून घेण्यासाठी प्रत्येककडून पवित्र स्थानातील अधिकृत चलणाप्रमाणे पाच शेकेल चांदी प्रत्येकी 273 जणांसाठी घे. (एक शेकेल म्हणजे वीस गेरा) इस्राएल लोकांकडून ही चांदी घे,
48and thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.
48व ती अहरोन व त्याच्या मुलांना दे. इस्राएल लोकांनी सोडविलेल्या दोनशें त्र्याहत्तर प्रथम जन्मलेल्या लोकांनी दिलेले ते सोडवणुकीचे पैसे होत.”
49And Moses took the redemption-money from them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites;
49तेव्हा मोशेने त्या दोनशे त्र्याहत्तर लोकांकडून पैसे गोळा केले. ह्या दोनशेत्र्याहत्तर लोकांची जागा घेण्यास लेवी लोकाकडे कोणी उरले नव्हते.
50from the first-born of the children of Israel took he the money, a thousand three hundred and threescore and five [shekels], after the shekel of the sanctuary:
50इस्राएलांच्या प्रथम जन्मलेल्या ह्या लोकांकडून अधिकृत पवित्र स्थानातील चलनाप्रमाणे मोशेने एकूण एक हजार तीनशें पासष्ट शेकेल चांदी गोळा केली.
51and Moses gave the redemption-money unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of Jehovah, as Jehovah commanded Moses.
51परमेश्वराने सांगितलेले मोशेने ऐकले व त्याच्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे त्याने ती चांदी-ते पैसे-अहरोन व त्याच्या मुलांना दिले.
