1Bless Jehovah, O my soul. O Jehovah my God, thou art very great; Thou art clothed with honor and majesty:
1माझ्या आत्म्या, परमेश्वराची स्तुती कर. परमेश्वरा, माझ्या देवा, तू खूप महान आहेस. तू तेज आणि गौरव पांघरले आहेस.
2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;
2माणसाने अंगरखा घालावा तसा तू प्रकाश घालतोस. तू आकाशाला पडद्या प्रमाणे पसरवितोस.
3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh upon the wings of the wind;
3देवा, तू तुझे घर त्यांच्यावर बांधतोस. तू दाटढगांचा रथाप्रमाणे उपयोग करतोस आणि वाऱ्याच्या पंखावर बसून तू आकाशातून संचार करतोस.
4Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers;
4देवा, तू तुझ्या दूतांना वाऱ्यासारखे बनवलेस आणि तुझ्या सेवकांना78 अग्रीसारखे.
5Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever.
5देवा, तू पृथ्वीला तिच्या पायावर अशा तऱ्हेनेउ भारलेस की तिचा कधीही नाश होणार नाही.
6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a vesture; The waters stood above the mountains.
6तू तिला पाण्याने गोधडीसारखे आच्छादलेस, पाण्याने डोंगरही झाकले गेले.
7At thy rebuke they fled; At the voice of thy thunder they hasted away
7परंतु तू आज्ञा केलीस आणि पाणी ओसरले. देवा, तू पाण्याला दटावलेस आणि ते ओसरले.
8(The mountains rose, the valleys sank down) Unto the place which thou hadst founded for them.
8पाणी डोंगरावरुन खाली दरीत वाहात गेले आणि नंतर ते तू त्याच्यासाठी केलेल्या जागेत गेले.
9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth.
9तू समुद्राला मर्यादा घातलीस आणि आता पाणी पृथ्वीला कधीही झाकून टाकणार नाही.
10He sendeth forth springs into the valleys; They run among the mountains;
10देवा, तू पाण्याला ओढ्यातून झऱ्यात जायला लावतोस. ते डोंगरातल्या झऱ्यातून खाली वाहात जाते.
11They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild asses quench their thirst.
11झरे सगळ्या रानटी श्वापदांना पाणी देतात. रानगाढवे देखील तिथे पाणी पिण्यासाठी येतात.
12By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation; They sing among the branches.
12पानपक्षी तेथे वस्ती करतात. ते जवळच्याच झाडांच्या फांद्यांवर बसून गातात.
13He watereth the mountains from his chambers: The earth is filled with the fruit of thy works.
13देव डोंगरावर पाऊस पाठवतो. देवाने केलेल्या गोष्टी पृथ्वीला जे काही हवे ते सर्व देतात.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, And herb for the service of man; That he may bring forth food out of the earth,
14देव जनावरांना खाऊ घालण्यासाठी गवत उगवतो. तो वाढवण्यासाठी आपल्याला वनस्पती देतो. त्या वनस्पती आपल्याला जमिनीतून अन्न देतात.
15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, [And] oil to make his face to shine, And bread that strengtheneth man's heart.
15देव आपल्याला आनंदित करणारा द्राक्षारस देतो. आपली कातडी मऊ करणारे तेल देतो आणि आपल्याला बलवान बनवणारे अन्न देतो.
16The trees of Jehovah are filled [with moisture], The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
16लबानोन मधले मोठे देवदार वूक्ष परमेश्वराचे आहेत. परमेश्वराने ती झाडे लावली आणि तो त्यांना लागणारे पाणी देतो.
17Where the birds make their nests: As for the stork, the fir-trees are her house.
17पक्षी त्या झाडांत आपली घरटी बांधतात. मोठे करकोचे देवदारूच्या झाडातच राहातात.
18The high mountains are for the wild goats; The rocks are a refuge for the conies.
18रानबकऱ्या उंच पर्वतावर राहातात. मोठ मोठे खडक कोल्ह प्राण्याची लपून बसायची जागा आहे.
19He appointed the moon for seasons: The sun knoweth his going down.
19देवा, तू आम्हाला सण केव्हा येतो ते कळण्यासाठी चंद्र दिलास आणि सूर्याला केव्हा मावळायचे ते नेहमीच कळते.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night, Wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth.
20तू काळोखाला रात्र केलेस अशा वेळी रानटी जनावरे बाहेर येतात आणि इकडे तिकडे फिरतात.
21The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God.
21सिंह हल्ला करताना गर्जना करतात. जणू काही ते देवाकडे तू देत असलेल्या अन्नाची मागणी करीत आहेत.
22The sun ariseth, they get them away, And lay them down in their dens.
22नंतर सूर्य उगवतो आणि प्राणी आपापल्या घरी परत जाऊन विश्रांती घेतात.
23Man goeth forth unto his work And to his labor until the evening.
23नंतर लोक त्यांचे काम करायला जातात आणि ते संध्याकाळपर्यंत काम करतात.
24O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all: The earth is full of thy riches.
24परमेश्वरा, तू अनेक अद्भुत गोष्टी केल्या आहेस. तू केलेल्या गोष्टींनी पृथ्वी भरली आहे. तू केलेल्या गोष्टींत आम्हाला तुझे शहाणपण दिसते.
25Yonder is the sea, great and wide, Wherein are things creeping innumerable, Both small and great beasts.
25समुद्राकडे बघ, तो किती मोठा आहे! आणि त्यात किती तरी गोष्टी राहातात. तिथे लहान मोठे प्राणी आहेत. मोजता न येण्याइतके.
26There go the ships; There is leviathan, whom thou hast formed to play therein.
26समुद्रात जहाजे जातात आणि लिव्याथान, तू निर्माण केलेला समुद्रप्राणी, समुद्रात खेळतो.
27These wait all for thee, That thou mayest give them their food in due season.
27देवा, या सगळ्या गोष्टी तुझ्यावर अवलंबून आहेत. तू त्यांना योग्य वेळी अन्न देतोस.
28Thou givest unto them, they gather; Thou openest thy hand, they are satisfied with good.
28देवा, तू सर्व प्राणीमात्रांना त्यांचे अन्न देतोस. तू तुझे अन्नाने भरलेले हात उघडतोस आणि ते त्यांची तृप्ती होईपर्यंत खातात.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; Thou takest away their breath, they die, And return to their dust.
29आणि जेव्हा तू त्यांच्यापासून दूर जातोस तेव्हा ते घाबरतात. त्यांचे आत्मे त्यांना सोडून जातात. ते अशक्त बनतात आणि मरतात आणि त्यांच्या शरीराची परत माती होते.
30Thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created; And thou renewest the face of the ground.
30पण परमेश्वरा, तू जेव्हा तुझा आत्मा पाठवतोस तेव्हा ते सशक्त होतात आणि तू जमीन पुन्हा नव्या सारखी करतोस.
31Let the glory of Jehovah endure for ever; Let Jehovah rejoice in his works:
31परमेश्वराचे वैभव सदैव राहो! परमेश्वराला त्याने केलेल्या गोष्टींपासून आनंद मिळो.
32Who looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
32परमेश्वराने पृथ्वीकडे नुसते बघितले तरी ती थरथर कापते. त्याने पर्वताला नुसता हात लावला तरी त्यातून धूर येईल.
33I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
33मी आयुष्यभर परमेश्वराला गाणे गाईन. मी जिवंत असे पर्यंत परमेश्वराचे गुणगान करीन.
34Let thy meditation be sweet unto him: I will rejoice in Jehovah.
34मी ज्या गोष्टी बोललो त्यामुळे त्याला आनंद झाला असेल असे मला वाटते. मी परमेश्वराजवळ आनंदी आहे.
35Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. And let the wicked be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Praise ye Jehovah.
35पाप पृथ्वीवरुन नाहीसे होवो. दुष्ट लोक कायमचे निघून जावोत. माझ्या आत्म्या परमेश्वराची स्तुती कर. परमेश्वराची स्तुती कर.
