¹A Psalm, a Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto Jehovah, And to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High;

¹परमेश्वराची स्तुती करणे चांगले असते. परात्पर देवा, तुझ्या नावाचे उपकारस्मरण करणे चांगले असते.

²To show forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, And thy faithfulness every night,

²तुझ्या प्रेमा बद्दल सकाळी गाणे आणि रात्री तुझ्या इमानीपणाबद्दल जयजयकार करणे चांगले असते.

³With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; With a solemn sound upon the harp.

³देवा, तुझ्यासाठी दहा तारांच्या वीणेवर आणि सतारीवर संगीत वाजवणे चांगले असते.

⁴For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

⁴परमेश्वरा, तू ज्या गोष्टी केल्यास त्यामुळे तू आम्हाला खरोखरच सुखी केले आहेस, आम्ही त्याबद्दल आनंदाने गातो.

⁵How great are thy works, O Jehovah! Thy thoughts are very deep.

⁵परमेश्वरा, तू फारच महान गोष्टी केल्यास तुझे विचार समजून घेणे आम्हाला फार जड जाते.

⁶A brutish man knoweth not; Neither doth a fool understand this:

⁶तुझ्याशी तुलना करता माणसे म्हणजे मूर्ख जनावरे आहेत. ज्याला काहीही कळू शकत नाही अशा मूर्खासारखे आम्ही आहोत.

⁷When the wicked spring as the grass, And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

⁷वाईट लोक तणाप्रमाणे जगतात आणि मरतात. ते ज्या कवडीमोलाच्या गोष्टी करतात, त्या गोष्टींचा कायमचा नाश होतो.

⁸But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

⁸परंतु परमेश्वरा, तुला सदैव मान मिळेल.

⁹For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, For, lo, thine enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

⁹परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या सगळ्या शत्रूंचा नाश होईल. वाईट गोष्टी करणाऱ्या सर्व लोकांचा नाश होईल.

¹⁰But my horn hast thou exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

¹⁰पण तू मला बलवान बनवशील. मी ताकदवान शिंग असलेल्या मेंढ्यासारखा असेन. पण तू माझी माझ्या खास कामासाठी निवड केलीस. तू तुझे ताजेतवाने करणारे तेल माझ्यावर ओतलेस.

¹¹Mine eye also hath seen [my desire] on mine enemies, Mine ears have heard [my desire] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

¹¹मी माझे शत्रू माझ्याभोवती बघतो. ते भल्या मोठ्या बैलाप्रमाणे माझ्यावर चालकरुन येण्याच्या तयारीत आहेत. ते माझ्याबद्दल काय बोलतात ते मी ऐकतो.

¹²The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

¹³They are planted in the house of Jehovah; They shall flourish in the courts of our God.

¹⁴They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and green:

¹⁴ते जुने झाल्यावरही फळे देत राहातील. ते सशक्त हिरव्या झाडासारखे असतील.

¹⁵To show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

¹⁵परमेश्वर चांगला आहे हे प्रत्येकाला दाखवण्यासाठी ती (चांगली माणसे) तेथे आहेत तो माझा खडक असून तो काहीही चुकीचे करत नाही.
