¹If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

¹ငါသည် လူဘာသာစကားကို၎င်း၊ ကောင်းကင်တမန်ဘာသာစကားကို၎င်း ပြောနိုင်သော်လည်း မေတ္တာ မရှိလျှင် အသံမြည်သော တံပိုးခရာကဲ့သို့၎င်း၊ တီးသံကိုသာ ပေးတတ်သော လင်းကွင်းကဲ့သို့၎င်း ဖြစ်၏။

²And if I have [the gift of] prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

²ပရောဖက်ဥာဏ်ကို ငါရ၍၊ နက်နဲသော အရာရှိ သမျှတို့နှင့် သိပ္ပံအတတ်အမျိုးမျိုးကို တတ်သော်၎င်း၊ တောင်များကိုရွှေ့နိုင်သော ယုံကြည်ခြင်းအမျိုးမျိုးနှင့် ပြည့်စုံသော်၎င်း၊ မေတ္တာမရှိလျှင် အချည်းနှီးသက်သက် ဖြစ်၏။

³And if I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.

³သူတပါးကို ငါကျွေးမွေး၍ ဥစ္စာရှိသမျှကို စွန့်ကြဲသည်သာမက၊ ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာကို မီးရှို့စေခြင်းငှါ အပ်သော်လည်း၊ မေတ္တာမရှိလျှင်၊ ငါ၌အကျိုးမရှိ။

⁴Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

⁴မေတ္တာသည် စိတ်ရှည်တတ်၏။ ကျေးဇူးပြုတတ်၏။ မေတ္တာသည် ဂုဏ်ပြိုင်ခြင်းမရှိ၊ ဝါကြွားခြင်းမရှိ၊ မာန်မာနမရှိ။

⁵doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;

⁵မလျောက်ပတ်စွာမကျင့်တတ်၊ ကိုယ်အကျိုးကို မရှာတတ်၊ ဒေါသအမျက်မထွက်တတ်၊ အပြစ်ရှိသည်ဟု မထင်တတ်၊

⁶rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;

⁶မတရားသော အမှု၌ ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းမရှိတတ်၊ သမ္မာတရား၌ ဝမ်းမြောက်တတ်၏။

⁷beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

⁷ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာကို ဖုံးအုပ်တတ်၏။ ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာကို ယုံတတ်၏။ ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာကို မြော်လင့်တတ်၏။ ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာကို သည်းခံတတ်၏။

⁸Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall be done away.

⁸မေတ္တာသည် ဖေါက်ပြန်ခြင်းသဘောနှင့် အစဉ်ကင်းလွတ်၏။ ပရောဖက်ဥာဏ်သော်၎င်း၊ အမျိုးမျိုးသော ဘာသာစကားကို ပြောနိုင်သောအခွင့်သော်၎င်း၊ သိပ္ပံအတတ်သော်၎င်း၊ ကွယ်ပျောက်လိမ့်မည်။

⁹For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;

⁹ယခုမူကား၊ ငါတို့သည် မစုံမလင် သိတတ်ကြ၏။ ပရောဖက်ဥာဏ်နှင့် မစုံမလင် ဟောတတ်ကြ၏။

¹⁰but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.

¹⁰စုံလင်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်သောအခါမူကား၊ မစုံလင်သမျှတို့သည် ကွယ်ပျောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။

¹¹When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things.

¹¹ငါသည် သူငယ်ဖြစ်စဉ်အခါ၊ သူငယ်လိုစကားပြော၏။ သူငယ်လိုစိတ်ထင်၏။ သူငယ်လိုကြံစည်၏။ အသက်ကြီးသောအခါမူကား၊ သူငယ်၏ အရာများကို ငါပယ်ရှား၏။

¹²For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.

¹²ယခုတွင် ငါတို့သည် မှန်အားဖြင့် ရိပ်မိလျက်သာ နေကြ၏။ ထိုအခါမူကား၊ မျက်မှောက်ထင်ထင်မြင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ ယခုတွင် ငါအသိအမြင်မစုံလင်ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုအခါမူကား၊ သူတပါးသည် ငါ့ကို သိသကဲ့သို့ ငါသိ ရလိမ့်မည်။

¹³But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

¹³ယခုတွင်ယုံကြည်ခြင်း၊ မြော်လင့်ခြင်း၊ ချစ်ခြင်း၊ ဤသုံးပါးတည်လျက် ရှိ၏။ ဤသုံးပါးတို့တွင် ချစ်ခြင်း၊ မေတ္တာသည် အမြတ်ဆုံးဖြစ်သတည်း။
