1Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, he formed locusts in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.
1တဖန် အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါ့အား ပြတော်မူသော ရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဆိုင်သော မြက်ပင်ကို ရိတ်ပြီးမှ၊ နောက်မြက်ပင်ပေါက်စကာလ၌ ကျိုင်းကောင်တို့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူ၏။
2And it came to pass that, when they made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord Jehovah, forgive, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
2ထိုကျိုင်းကောင်တို့သည် တပြည်လုံး၌ရှိသော မြက်ပင်ကိုစား၍ ကုန်ပြီးမှငါက၊ အိုအရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ အပြစ်မှ လွတ်တော်မူပါ။ ယာကုပ်သည် ငယ်သောကြောင့်၊ အဘယ်သို့ ထရပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု လျှောက်သော်၊
3Jehovah repented concerning this: It shall not be, saith Jehovah.
3ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နောင်တရ၍၊ ဤသို့ မဖြစ်ရဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
4Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, the Lord Jehovah called to content by fire; and it devoured the great deep, and would have eaten up the land.
4တဖန် အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါ့အားပြတော်မူသော ရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ မီးဖြင့် ဒဏ်ပေးခြင်းငှါ မီးကို ခေါ်တော်မူ၍၊ မဟာသမုဒ္ဒရာကို မီးလောင်လေ၏။ ကုန်းကိုလည်း လောင်လေ၏။
5Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, cease, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.
5ငါကလည်း၊ အိုအရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ဆိုင်းတော်မူပါ။ ယာကုပ်သည် ငယ်သောကြောင့် အဘယ်သို့ ထရ ပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု လျှောက်သော်၊
6Jehovah repented concerning this: this also shall not be, saith the Lord Jehovah.
6အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နောင်တရ၍၊ ဤသို့ မဖြစ်ရဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
7Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.
7တဖန် ပြတော်မူသော ရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ ချိန်ကြိုး ချ၍လုပ်သော ကျောက်ရိုးပေါ်မှာ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ရပ်လျက်၊ လက်တော်၌ ချိန်ကြိုးကို ကိုင်လျက်၊
8And Jehovah said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb-line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more;
8အာမုတ်၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်အရာကို မြင်သနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ ချိန်ကြိုးကို မြင်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်သော်၊ ဘုရားရှင်က၊ ငါ၏လူဣသရေလအမျိုး အလယ်၌ ချိန်ကြိုးကို ငါချမည်။ နောက်တဖန် သူတို့ကို သည်းမခံ။
9and the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
9ဣဇာက်၏မြင့်ရာအရပ်တို့သည် လူဆိတ်ညံလျက်၊ ဣသရေလ၏ သန့်ရှင်းရာအရပ်တို့သည် သုတ်သင် ပယ်ရှင်းလျက်ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ ယေရောဗောင်မင်းမျိုးကိုလည်း ထားနှင့်ငါတိုက်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
10Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
10ထိုအခါ ဗေသလယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အာမဇိသည် ဣသရေလရှင်ဘုရင် ယေရောဗောင်ထံသို့ စေလွှတ်၍၊ အာမုတ်သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးအလယ်တွင် ကိုယ်တော် တဘက်၌ မကောင်းသောအကြံကို ကြံစည်ပါပြီ။ သူ၏ စကားအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြည်တော်သည် မခံနိုင်ပါ။
11For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.
11ယေရောဗောင်သည် ထားဖြင့် သေရလိမ့်မည်။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် နေရင်းပြည်မှ ဆက်ဆက် နှင်သွားခြင်းကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ အာမုတ်ဆိုတတ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။
12Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thou away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
12အာမုတ်ကိုလည်းခေါ်၍၊ အိုပရောဖက်၊ ယုဒပြည်သို့ ပြေးသွားလော့။ ထိုပြည်မှာ ပရောဖက်ပြု၍ အသက်မွေးလော့။
13but prophesy not again any more at Beth-el; for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is a royal house.
13နောက်တဖန်ဗေသလမြို့တဘက်၌ ပရောဖက် မပြုနှင့်။ ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ သန့်ရှင်းရာဌာနတော် ဖြစ်၏။ နန်းတော်တည်ရာမြို့လည်း ဖြစ်၏ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊
14Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdsman, and a dresser of sycomore-trees:
14အာမုတ်က၊ ငါသည် ပရောဖက်မဟုတ်၊ ပရောဖက်၏သားလည်းမဟုတ်ဘဲ၊ နွားကျောင်းသောသူ၊ သဖန်း သီးကို ဆွတ်သောသူဖြစ်စဉ်အခါ၊
15and Jehovah took me from following the flock, and Jehovah said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.
15ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နွားကျောင်းရာမှ ငါ့ကို နှုတ်ယူ၍၊ သင်သွားလော့။ ငါ၏လူဣသရေလအမျိုးတွင် ပရောဖက်ပြုလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
16Now therefore hear thou the word of Jehovah: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not [thy word] against the house of Isaac;
16သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်ကို နားထောင်လော့။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးတဘက်၌ ပရောဖက် မပြုနှင့်၊ ဣဇာက်အမျိုးတဘက်၌ မမြွက်နှင့်ဟု သင်ဆိုသော်၊
17therefore thus saith Jehovah: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.
17ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ သင်၏ မယားသည် ပြည်တန်ဆာဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ သူတပါးတို့သည် သင်၏မြေကို ကြိုးတန်းချ၍ ဝေဖန်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်သည် ညစ်ညူးသော ပြည်၌ သေရလိမ့်မည်။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသည် နေရင်းပြည်မှ ဆက်ဆက်နှင်သွားခြင်းကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ အာမဇိအား ဆင့်ဆိုလေ၏။
