¹After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.

¹ထိုနောက်၊ ယောဘသည် နှုတ်ကိုဖွင့်၍

²And Job answered and said:

²မိမိဘွားသောနေ့ရက်ကို ကျိန်ဆဲလျက် မြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား။

³Let the day perish wherein I was born, And the night which said, There is a man-child conceived.

³ငါဘွားသော နေ့ရက်ပျက်စီးပါစေ။ သားယောက်ျားကို ပဋိသန္ဓေယူပြီဟုသိတင်းကြားပြောသော ညဉ့်လည်း ပျက်စီးပါစေ။

⁴Let that day be darkness; Let not God from above seek for it, Neither let the light shine upon it.

⁴ထိုနေ့ရက်မိုက်ပါစေ။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် မျက်နှာပြုတော်မမူပါစေနှင့်။ အလင်းမပေါ်ထွန်းပါ စေနှင့်၊

⁵Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; Let a cloud dwell upon it; Let all that maketh black the day terrify it.

⁵မှောင်မိုက်၊ သေမင်းအရိပ်သည် ထိုနေ့ရက် အသရေကို ရှုတ်ချပါစေ။ မိုဃ်းတိမ်ထပ် လွှမ်းမိုးပါစေ။ မွန်းတည့်အရှိန်ဖြင့် ကြောက်မက်ဘွယ် ဖြစ်ပါစေ။

⁶As for that night, let thick darkness seize upon it: Let it not rejoice among the days of the year; Let it not come into the number of the months.

⁶ထိုညဉ့်သည်မှောင်မိုက်၌ ပျောက်ပါစေ။ နှစ်စဉ် နေ့ရက်တို့နှင့် မပေါင်းပါစေနှင့်၊

⁷Lo, let that night be barren; Let no joyful voice come therein.

⁷လအရေအတွက်၌ မဝင်ပါစေနှင့်။ အော်၊ ထိုညဉ့်သည်ဆိတ်ညံပါစေ။ ရွှင်လန်းသောအသံမရှိပါ စေနှင့်။

⁸Let them curse it that curse the day, Who are ready to rouse up leviathan.

⁸နေ့ရက်ကိုရွေး၍ ကျိန်ဆဲတတ်သောသူ၊ မိကျောင်းကို ထစေတတ်သောသူတို့သည် ထိုညဉ့်ကို ကျိန်ဆဲပါစေ။

⁹Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark: Let it look for light, but have none; Neither let it behold the eyelids of the morning:

⁹ညဦးယံကြယ်တို့သည် မိုက်ပါစေ။ ထိုညဉ့်သည် အလင်းကိုတောင့်တ၍ မရပါစေနှင့်။ နံနက်မိုဃ်းလင်း ကို မမြင်ပါစေနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊

¹⁰Because it shut not up the doors of my [mother's] womb, Nor hid trouble from mine eyes.

¹⁰ငါ့အမိ၏ဝမ်းကို ပိတ်မထား၊ ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲကို ငါမမြင်စေခြင်းငှါ မကွယ်မကာ။

¹¹Why died I not from the womb? Why did I not give up the ghost when my mother bare me?

¹¹ငါသည်မွေးစက အဘယ်ကြောင့်မသေသနည်း။ အမိဝမ်းထဲမှ ထွက်စက အဘယ်ကြောင့် အသက်မချုပ် သနည်း။

¹²Why did the knees receive me? Or why the breast, that I should suck?

¹²ငါ့ကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့် ပိုက်ပွေ့ရသနည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် နို့တိုက်ရသနည်း။

¹³For now should I have lain down and been quiet; I should have slept; then had I been at rest,

¹³ထိုသို့မပြုလျှင် ငါသည်အိပ်၍ငြိမ်းပြီ။ ပျော်လျက်နေရပြီ။

¹⁴With kings and counsellors of the earth, Who built up waste places for themselves;

¹⁴မြို့ပျက်တို့ကို ပြင်ဆင်ပြုစုသော လောကီရှင်ဘုရင်၊

¹⁵Or with princes that had gold, Who filled their houses with silver:

¹⁵မှူးမတ်တို့နှင့်၎င်း၊ ရွှေကိုရတတ်၍ ဘဏ္ဍာတိုက်၌ ငွေကိုအပြည့်သိုထားသောမင်းတို့နှင့်၎င်း ငါငြိမ်းရပြီ။

¹⁶Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been, As infants that never saw light.

¹⁶သို့မဟုတ် အချိန်နေ့လမစေ့မှီ မွေးသောသူငယ်၊ အလင်းကို မမြင်ရသောသူငယ်ကဲ့သို့ ငါပျက်စီးရပြီ။

¹⁷There the wicked cease from troubling; And there the weary are at rest.

¹⁷ထိုအရပ်၌ လူဆိုးတို့သည် နောက်တဖန်မနှောင့်ရှက်ရ။ ပင်ပန်းသောသူသည်တို့သည် ချမ်းသာ ရကြ၏။

¹⁸There the prisoners are at ease together; They hear not the voice of the taskmaster.

¹⁸အချုပ်ခံရသောသူတို့သည်လည်း အတူငြိမ်ဝပ်ရကြ၏။ ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူ၏စကားသံကိုမကြားရကြ။

¹⁹The small and the great are there: And the servant is free from his master.

¹⁹ထိုအရပ်၌ ကြီးသောသူနှင့် ငယ်သောသူရှိကြ၏။ ကျွန်သည်လည်း သခင်လက်နှင့်လွတ်ရ၏။

²⁰Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, And life unto the bitter in soul;

²⁰ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲခံရသောသူအား အဘယ်ကြောင့်အလင်းကိုပေးသနည်း။ စိတ်နှလုံးခါးသောသူအား အဘယ်ကြောင့် အသက်ကိုပေးသနည်း။

²¹Who long for death, but it cometh not, And dig for it more than for hid treasures;

²¹သူတို့သည် သေခြင်းကို တောင့်တ၍မရနိုင်။ ဝှက်ထားသော ဥစ္စာကိုဘော်ခြင်းငှါ တူးသည် ထက်သေ ခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ဘော်ခြင်းငှါ သာ၍ထူးကြ၏။

²²Who rejoice exceedingly, And are glad, when they can find the grave?

²²သူတို့သည်သင်္ချိုင်းတွင်းကို တွေ့သောအခါ အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်၍ အထူးသဖြင့် ရွှင်လန်းကြ၏။

²³[Why is light given] to a man whose way is hid, And whom God hath hedged in?

²³မိမိသွားသောလမ်း ကွယ်ပျောက်သောသူ၊ ဘုရားသခင်ဆီးကာ ချုပ်ထားသောသူအား အလင်းနှင့် အသက်ကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် ပေးသနည်း။

²⁴For my sighing cometh before I eat, And my groanings are poured out like water.

²⁴အစာစားခြင်းအရာ၌ ငါညည်းတွားခြင်းရှိ၏။ ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းခြင်း မျက်ရည်သည်လည်း ရေစီးသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။

²⁵For the thing which I fear cometh upon me, And that which I am afraid of cometh unto me.

²⁵ငါကြောက်သော အမှုသည် ငါ၌ရောက်လာပြီ။ ငါအလွန်ကြောက်သောဘေးသည် ငါ့ကိုတွေ့မိပြီ။

²⁶I am not at ease, neither am I quiet, neither have I rest; But trouble cometh.

²⁶ငါသည်ငြိမ်ဝပ်ခြင်းမရှိ။ ချမ်းဧခြင်းမရှိ။ သက်သာခြင်းမရှိ။ ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲသက်သက်ရှိသည်ဟု မြွက်ဆို လေ၏။
