¹I made a covenant with mine eyes; How then should I look upon a virgin?

¹ငါသည်အပျိုကိုမျှမကြည့်ရှုမည်အကြောင်း၊ ကိုယ်မျက်စိနှင့် ပဋိညာဉ်ဝန်ခံခြင်းကို ပြုပြီ။

²For what is the portion from God above, And the heritage from the Almighty on high?

²သို့မဟုတ် အထက်အရပ်က ဘုရားသခင်သည်အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးကို၎င်း၊ မြင့်ရာအရပ်က အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင် သည် အဘယ်သို့သော အမွေဥစ္စာကို၎င်း ပေးတော်မူ မည်နည်း။

³Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, And disaster to the workers of iniquity?

³ဆိုးသော သူတို့သည် ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့၎င်း၊ မတရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောသူတို့သည် ဆုံးရှုံးခြင်းသို့၎င်း ရောက်ရကြမည် မဟုတ်လော။

⁴Doth not he see my ways, And number all my steps?

⁴ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါသွားရာလမ်းတို့ကို မြင် တော်မူသည်မဟုတ်လော။ ငါ့ခြေရာရှိသမျှတို့ကို ရေတွက်တော်မူသည်မဟုတ်လော။

⁵If I have walked with falsehood, And my foot hath hasted to deceit

⁵မုသာလမ်းသို့ ငါလိုက်မိသော်၎င်း၊ လှည့်စားခြင်းငှါ ငါပြေးမိသော်၎င်း၊ လှည့်စားခြင်းငှါ ငါပြေးမိ သော်၎င်း၊

⁶(Let me be weighed in an even balance, That God may know mine integrity);

⁶မှန်သောချိန်ခွင်၌ ငါ့ကိုချိန်ပါစေ။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် ငါဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းကို သိတော်မူပါစေ။

⁷If my step hath turned out of the way, And my heart walked after mine eyes, And if any spot hath cleaved to my hands:

⁷ငါသည်လမ်းလွှဲမိသော်၎င်း၊ ငါ့စိတ်နှလုံးသည် ငါ့မျက်စိအလိုသို့လိုက်မိသော်၎င်း၊ ငါ့လက်၌ အညစ် အကြေးကပ်မိသော်၎င်း၊

⁸Then let me sow, and let another eat; Yea, let the produce of my field be rooted out.

⁸ငါကြဲသောမျိုးစေ့၏ အသီးအနှံကို သူတပါး စားပါစေ။ ငါ့ပျိုးပင်များကို သူတပါးနှုတ်ပါစေ။

⁹If my heart hath been enticed unto a woman, And I have laid wait at my neighbor's door;

⁹သူ့မယားကို ငါတပ်မက်မိသော်၎င်း၊ အိမ်နီးချင်း တံခါးနားမှာ ငါချောင်းမိသော်၎င်း၊

¹⁰Then let my wife grind unto another, And let others bow down upon her.

¹⁰ငါ့မယားသည် သူတပါးထံ၌ ကြိတ်ဆုံကြိတ်ရ ပါစေ။ သူတပါးသည် ငါ့မယားကိုရှုတ်ချပါစေ။

¹¹For that were a heinous crime; Yea, it were an iniquity to be punished by the judges:

¹¹ငါသည်ထိုသို့ပြုမိလျှင် အပြစ်ကြီး၏။ ရာဇဝတ် ခံထိုက်သော အပြစ်ရှိ၏။

¹²For it is a fire that consumeth unto Destruction, And would root out all mine increase.

¹²ထိုအပြစ်သည် အကုန်အစင်လောင်သောမီး၊ ငါ့စည်းစိမ်ရှိသမျှ ကိုသုတ်သင်ပယ်ရှင်းသောမီးဖြစ်၏။

¹³If I have despised the cause of my man-servant or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;

¹³ငါ့ကျွန်နှင့်ငါ့ကျွန်မသည် ငါနှင့်တရားတွေ့စရာ အမှုရှိသောအခါ၊ ငါနားမထောင်ဘဲနေမိလျှင်၊

¹⁴What then shall I do when God riseth up? And when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?

¹⁴ဘုရားသခင်ထတော်မူသောအခါ အဘယ်သို့ ငါ့ပြုရမည်နည်း။ စစ်ကြောတော်မူသောအခါ အဘယ်သို့ ပြန်လျှောက်ရမည်နည်း။

¹⁵Did not he that made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?

¹⁵ငါ့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသောဘုရားသည် သူ့ကို လည်း ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသည်မဟုတ်လော။ တပါးတည်း သောဘုရားသည် ငါတို့နှစ်ယောက်ကို အမိဝမ်းထဲ၌ ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသည်မဟုတ်လော။

¹⁶If I have withheld the poor from [their] desire, Or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

¹⁶ငါသည် ဆင်းရဲသားတောင့်တသော အရာကို မပေးဘဲနေဘူးသလော။ မုတ်ဆိုးမမျက်စိကို ပျက်စေ ခြင်းငှါ ပြုဘူးသလော။

¹⁷Or have eaten my morsel alone, And the fatherless hath not eaten thereof

¹⁷မိဘမရှိသောသူတို့အား စားစရာကိုမမျှဘဲ ၊ ငါတယောက်တည်း စားဘူးသလော။

¹⁸(Nay, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And her have I guided from my mother's womb);

¹⁸ဆင်းရဲသားသည် အဘထံမှာ နေသကဲ့သို့၊ ငါ့အသက်ငယ်စဉ်ကာလမှစ၍ ငါနှင့်အတူ ကျွေးမွေးခြင်း ကို ခံပြီ။ ငါသည် ဘွားမြင်သော နေ့မှစ၍ မုတ်ဆိုးမကို မစပြီ။

¹⁹If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, Or that the needy had no covering;

¹⁹အဝတ်မရှိသောကြောင့် သေခြင်းသို့ ရောက် သော သူတစုံတယောက်နှင့်၊ ခြုံစရာမရှိဘဲ ဆင်းရဲစွာ နေသောသူ တစုံတယောက်ကို ငါမြင်၍၊

²⁰If his loins have not blessed me, And if he hath not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep;

²⁰သူ၏ခါးသည် ငါ့ကို ကောင်းကြီးမပေး။ ငါ့ သိုးမွေးအားဖြင့် မနွေးဘဲနေသော်၎င်း၊

²¹If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, Because I saw my help in the gate:

²¹ရုံးတော်တွင် ငါ့ဘက်၌ နေသောမင်းကို ငါသည် မြင်၍၊ မိဘမရှိသောသူကို ညှဉ်းဆဲမိသော်၎င်း၊

²²Then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder-blade, And mine arm be broken from the bone.

²²ငါ့လက်မောင်းသည် ပခုံးကကျပါစေ။ ငါ့လက်ရိုး ကျိုးပါစေ။

²³For calamity from God is a terror to me, And by reason of his majesty I can do nothing.

²³ငါသည် ဘုရားသခင်ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူခြင်းဘေး ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့၍၊ တန်ခိုးအာနုဘော်တော်ကြောင့် မပြစ် မှားဝံဘဲနေပါပြီ။

²⁴If I have made gold my hope, And have said to the fine gold, [Thou art] my confidence;

²⁴ငါသည်ရွှေကိုကိုးစား၍ ရွှေစင်အား၊ သင်သည် ငါခိုလှုံရာဖြစ်၏ဟုဆိုမိသော်၎င်း၊

²⁵If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gotten much;

²⁵ငါ၌စည်းစိမ်ကြီး၍ များစွာသော ဥစ္စာရတတ် သောကြောင့်၊ ငါဝါကြွားဝမ်းမြောက်မိသော်၎င်း၊

²⁶If I have beheld the sun when it shined, Or the moon walking in brightness,

²⁶ရောင်ခြည်ထွက်သောနေ၊ ထွန်းလင်းလျက် သွားသောလကို ငါကြည့်ရှုသောအခါ၊

²⁷And my heart hath been secretly enticed, And my mouth hath kissed my hand:

²⁷ငါ့စိတ်နှလုံးသည် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နူးညွတ်၍ ငါ့လက်ကို ငါနမ်းမိသော်၎င်း၊

²⁸This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judges; For I should have denied the God that is above.

²⁸ရာဇဝတ်ခံထိုက်သော အပြစ်ရှိ၏။ အထက်အရပ်၌ ရှိတော်မူသောဘုရားသခင်ကို ငြင်းပယ်ရာ ရောက်၏။

²⁹If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him;

²⁹ငါ့ကိုမုန်းသောသူသည် ပျက်စီးသောအခါ ငါဝမ်းမြောက်သလော။ သူ၌ဘေးရောက်သောအခါ၊ ငါဝါကြွားသလော။

³⁰(Yea, I have not suffered by mouth to sin By asking his life with a curse);

³⁰ငါသည်သူ့အသက်ကို ကျိန်ဆဲ၍၊ ကိုယ်နှုတ်၌ အပြစ်ရောက်စေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်မပေး။

³¹If the men of my tent have not said, Who can find one that hath not been filled with his meat?

³¹ငါ့အိမ်သူအိမ်သားတို့က၊ အဘယ်သူသည် ငါတို့သခင်၏ အမဲသားကိုတောင့်တ၍ မဝဘဲနေရ သနည်းဟု မဆိုတတ်သလော။

³²(The sojourner hath not lodged in the street; But I have opened my doors to the traveller);

³²ဧည့်သည်သည် လမ်း၌ညဉ့်ကို မလွန်ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ငါသည် ခရီးသွားသော သူတို့အား ကိုယ် တံခါးကို ဖွင့်ထားပြီ။

³³If like Adam I have covered my transgressions, By hiding mine iniquity in my bosom,

³³ငါသည်လူပြုတတ်သကဲ့သို့၊ ကိုယ်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုဖုံး၍၊ ကိုယ်ရင်ထဲ၌ ကိုယ်အပြစ်ကိုဝှက်ထားဘူးသဘော။

³⁴Because I feared the great multitude, And the contempt of families terrified me, So that I kept silence, and went not out of the door-

³⁴ထိုသို့ပြုမိလျှင်၊ ကြီးသော ပရိတ်သတ်ရှေ့မှာ ငါ့မျက်နှာပျက်ပါစေ။ လူအမျိုးမျိုးတို့သည် ကဲ့ရဲ့၍ ငါ့အရှက်ကွဲပါစေ။ အိမ်ပြင်သို့မထွက်ဘဲ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နေရပါစေ။

³⁵Oh that I had one to hear me! (Lo, here is my signature, let the Almighty answer me); And [that I had] the indictment which mine adversary hath written!

³⁵တစုံတယောက်သောသူသည် ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်ပါစေသော။ ငါ့လက်မှတ်ကိုငါပေးမည်။ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်သည် ငါ့ကိုစစ်ကြောတော်မူပါစေ။ ငါ့တရားတွေ့ဘက်သည် စာထားပါစေ။

³⁶Surely I would carry it upon my shoulder; I would bind it unto me as a crown:

³⁶အကယ်စင်စစ်ထိုစာကို ပခုံးပေါ်မှာ ငါတင် ထားပါမည်။ ဗေါင်းကဲ့သို့ ဆောင်းပါမည်။

³⁷I would declare unto him the number of my steps; As a prince would I go near unto him.

³⁷ငါသည် ကိုယ်အပြုအမူအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ဘော်ပြ ပါမည်။ မင်းကဲ့သို့ အထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်းကပ်ပါမည်။

³⁸If my land crieth out against me, And the furrows thereof weep together;

³⁸ငါ့မြေသည် ငါ့ကိုအပြစ်တင်သဖြင့်၊ အော်ဟစ်၍ လည်ချောင်းတို့သည် တညီတည်းမြည်တမ်းသော်၎င်း၊

³⁹If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, Or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:

³⁹စရိတ်မကုန်ဘဲမြေအသီးအနှံကို ငါစား၍ မြေဆိုင်သောသူတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲမိသော်၎င်း၊

⁴⁰Let thistles grow instead of wheat, And cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.

⁴⁰စပါးပင်အတွက် ဆူးပင်ပေါက်ပါစေ။ မုယော ပင်အတွက် ဗောရှပင်ပေါက်ပါစေဟု မြွက်ဆို၏။ ယောဘမြွက်ဆိုသောစကားပြီး၏။
