¹These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble.

¹သင်တို့သည် စိတ်မပျက်စေခြင်းငှါ ဤစကားကို ငါဟောပြော၏။

²They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.

²လောကီသားတို့သည် သင်တို့ကိုတရားစရပ်မှ နှင်ထုတ်လိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့ကိုသတ်သောသူ မည်သည် ကား၊ ဘုရားဝတ်ကို ငါပြုပြီဟု မိမိထင်မှတ်သောအချိန်ကာလရောက်လိမ့်မည်။

³And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

³ခမည်းတော်ကိုမသိ၊ ငါ့ကိုလည်း မသိသောကြောင့် ထိုသို့ပြုကြလိမ့်မည်။

⁴But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.

⁴ထိုအချိန်ကာလရောက်သောအခါ၊ ငါသည်အထက်က ဤသို့ပြောပြီးသည်ကို သင်တို့အောက်မေ့ စေခြင်းငှါ ယခုပင် ငါဟောပြော၏။အစဦး၌ သင်တို့နှင့်အတူ ငါရှိသောကြောင့် ဤသို့မပြောဘူးသေး။

⁵But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

⁵ငါ့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူထံသို့ ယခု ငါသွားရမည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အဘယ်အရပ်သို့ သွားမည်နည်းဟု သင်တို့မမေးကြ။

⁶But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

⁶ဤအကြောင်းအရာတို့ကို ငါဟောပြောသောကြောင့် သင်တို့သည်အလွန်ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ကြ၏။

⁷Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.

⁷ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ငါသွားလျှင် သင်တို့အကျိုးရှိလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါမသွားလျှင် ဥပဇ္ဈာယ်ဆရာသည် သင်တို့ဆီသို့မလာ။ ငါသွားလျှင် ထိုသူကို သင်တို့ဆီသို့ ငါစေလွှတ်မည်။

⁸And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

⁸ဥပဇ္ဈာယ်ဆရာသည် ရောက်လာလျှင်၊ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို၎င်း၊ အပြစ်ကင်းခြင်းကို၎င်း၊ အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်း ကို၎င်း၊ လောကီသားတို့အား ထင်ရှားစွာဘော်ပြမည်။

⁹of sin, because they believe not on me;

⁹ငါ့ကို မယုံကြည်ကြသောကြောင့် ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို ဘော်ပြမည်။

¹⁰of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;

¹⁰ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် နောက်တဖန် ငါ့ကိုမတွေ့မမြင်ရသော ကြောင့်၊ အပြစ်ကင်းခြင်းကို ဘော်ပြမည်။

¹¹of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.

¹¹ဤလောကကို အစိုးရသောမင်းသည် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကိုခံရသောကြောင့် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းကို ဘော်ပြမည်။

¹²I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

¹²သင်တို့အား ငါပြောစရာစကားအများရှိသော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ယခုမခံနိုင်ကြ။

¹³Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, [these] shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.

¹³သမ္မာတရားနှင့်ပြည့်စုံသော ထိုဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ သမ္မာတရားကို သင်တို့အား အကြွင်းမဲ့ သွန်သင်ပြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် ကိုယ်အလိုအလျောက်ဟောပြောမည်အဟုတ်။ ကြား သမျှတို့ကို ဟောပြောလိမ့်မည်။ နောင်လာလတံ့သောအရာတို့ကိုလည်း သင်တို့အား ဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁴He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you.

¹⁴ထိုသူသည် ငါ့ဘုန်းကိုထင်ရှားစေလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာကိုယူ၍ သင်တို့အား ဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁵All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare [it] unto you.

¹⁵ခမည်းတော်နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သမျှသည် ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်၏။ ထိုကြောင့် ငါနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာကိုယူ၍ သင်တို့အားဘော်ပြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါပြော၏။

¹⁶A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.

¹⁶ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကိုမမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကိုမြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ ငါသည်ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁷[Some] of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

¹⁷တပည့်တော်အချို့ကလည်း၊ ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကို မမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကို မြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံသို့ သွားမည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ မိန့်တော် မူသောစကားသည် အဘယ်သို့နည်း။

¹⁸They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? We know not what he saith.

¹⁸ခဏဟူ၍မိန့်တော်မူသော် အဘယ်သို့ဆိုလိုသနည်း မိန့်တော်မူသောစကားကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် နားမလည်ဟု အချင်းချင်းပြောဆိုကြ၏။

¹⁹Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me?

¹⁹တပည့်တော်တို့သည်မေးလျှောက်လိုသည်ကို ယေရှုသိမြင်တော်မူလျှင်၊ ခဏကြာပြီးမှ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုမမြင်ရကြ။ တဖန်ခဏကြာပြီးမှ ငါ့ကိုမြင်ပြန်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ငါပြောသောစကားကို သင်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်း ဆင်ခြင်ကြသလော။

²⁰Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

²⁰ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ငိုကြွေးမြည်တမ်းခြင်းရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ လောကီသားတို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့မူကား ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိသော်လည်း ထိုဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းသည် တဖန် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

²¹A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.

²¹မိန်းမသည်သားကို ဘွားစဉ်အခါ ဘွားရသောအချိန်စေ့သောကြောင့် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိ၏။ ဘွားမြင် ပြီးမှ ဤလောက၌ လူတယောက်ကိုဘွားမြင်သောကြောင့် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိ၍၊ အထက်ခံရသောဝေဒနာကို မေ့လျော့တတ်၏။

²²And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

²²ထိုနည်းတူ၊ ယခုတွင် သင်တို့သည် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းရှိကြသော်လည်း၊ နောက်တဖန်သင်တို့ကို ငါတွေ့မြင် သဖြင့် သင်တို့သည်စိတ်နှလုံးဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်း ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းကို အဘယ်သူမျှ လုယူ ဖျက်ဆီးခြင်းငှါ မတတ်နိုင်။

²³And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.

²³ထိုနေ့၌ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအလျှင်းမမေးမြန်းရကြ။ ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့သည်ငါ၏ နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ ခမည်းတော်မှာ ဆုတောင်းသမျှတို့ကို ခမည်းတော်သည် ပေးတော်မူမည်။

²⁴Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.

²⁴ယခုတိုင်အောင် ငါ၏နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ဆုကိုမျှ မတောင်းကြသေး။ သင်တို့သည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်းစုံလင်စေခြင်းငှါ တောင်းကြလော့။ ထိုသို့တောင်းလျှင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။

²⁵These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father.

²⁵ဤအရာတို့ကို ပုံဥပမာအားဖြင့် ငါဟောပြော၏။ ပုံဥပမာအားဖြင့် မဟောမပြောဘဲ၊ ခမည်းတော်နှင့် စပ်ဆိုင်သောအရာတို့ကို သင်တို့အားအတည့်အလင်းဖော်ပြသောအချိန်ကာလ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။

²⁶In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you;

²⁶ထိုကာလ၌ သင်တို့သည် ငါ၏နာမကိုအမှီပြု၍ ဆုတောင်းကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်တို့အဘို့အလိုငှါ ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ကို တောင်းမည်ဟုမဆို။

²⁷for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.

²⁷အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကိုချစ်ကြ၍၊ ငါသည်ဘုရားသခင်အထံတော်မှ ကြွလာသည်ကို ယုံကြည်သောကြောင့် ခမည်းတော်သည် ကိုယ်တော်တိုင် သင်တို့ကိုချစ်တော်မူ၏။

²⁸I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.

²⁸ငါသည် ခမည်းတော်ထံမှထွက်၍ ဤလောကသို့ကြွလာပြီ။ တဖန် ဤလောကမှထွက်၍ ခမည်းတော် ထံသို့ သွားဦးမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁹His disciples say, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no dark saying.

²⁹တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ယခုတွင်ပုံဥပမာကိုမဆောင်ဘဲ အတည့်အလင်း ဟော ပြောတော်မူ၏။

³⁰Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

³⁰အလုံးစုံတို့ကို သိတော်မူသည်ကို၎င်း၊ အဘယ်သူမျှကိုယ်တော်ကို မေးမြန်းစေခြင်းငှါ အလိုတော် မရှိသည်ကို၎င်း၊ ယခုတွင် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သိကြပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ဤအကြောင်းကိုထောက်၍ ကိုယ်တော် သည် ဘုရားသခင်အထံတော်မှ ကြွတော်မူသည်ကို ယုံပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

³¹Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?

³¹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ယခုတွင်ယုံကြပြီလော။

³²Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and [yet] I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

³²သင်တို့သည် ကွဲပြား၍ ငါ့ကိုတကိုယ်တည်းနေစေခြင်းငှါ စွန်ပစ်လျက်၊ အသီးသီးမိမိသို့နေရာသို့ ပြေးသွားမည့်အချိန်ကာလသည် လာ၍ယခုပင်ရောက်ပေ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း ငါသည်တကိုယ်တည်းနေသည် မဟုတ်။ ခမည်းတော်သည်ငါနှင့်အတူရှိတော်မူ၏။

³³These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

³³သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအမှီပြု၍ ငြိမ်သက်ခြင်းရှိစေခြင်းငှါ ဤစကားကိုငါဟောပြောပြီ။ သင်တို့သည် လောက၌ ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခကိုခံကြရလိမ့်မည်။ သို့သော်လည်းမစိုးရိမ်ကြနှင့်။ ငါသည်လောကကိုအောင်ပြီဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
