1Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was assembled as one man, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, with the land of Gilead, unto Jehovah at Mizpah.
1ထိုအခါ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည်၊ ဂိလဒ်ပြည်သားတို့နှင့်တကွ ထလျက်၊ ဒန်မြို့မှစ၍ ဗေရရှေဘမြို့တိုင်အောင် ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့သည် တယောက်သောသူကဲ့သို့ မိဇပါမြို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ထံတော်၌ စည်းဝေးကြ၏။
2And the chiefs of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen that drew sword.
2ဣသရေလ အမျိုးအနွယ်အပေါင်း၊ ပြည်သားအပေါင်းတို့၏ အကြီးအကဲတို့သည် စည်းဝေးကြသော်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏လူ၊ ထားလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်သော ခြေသည်သူရဲ လေးသိန်းနှင့်တကွ ချဉ်းကပ်ကြ၏။
3(Now the children of Benjamin heard that the children of Israel were gone up to Mizpah.) And the children of Israel said, Tell us, how was this wickedness brought to pass?
3ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် မိဇပါမြို့သို့ သွားကြောင်းကို ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ကြားသိကြ၏။ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့က၊ ထိုအဓမ္မအမှုကား အဘယ်သို့နည်းဟု မေးမြန်းလျှင်၊-
4And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was murdered, answered and said, I came into Gibeah that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.
4အသေခံရသော မိန်းမ၏လင် လေဝိလူက၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် မယားငယ်နှင့်အတူလာ၍ ဗင်္ယာမိန် ခရိုင်၊ ဂိဗာမြို့မှာ ညဉ့်ကို လွန်စေပါ၏။
5And the men of Gibeah rose against me, and beset the house round about me by night; me they thought to have slain, and my concubine they forced, and she is dead.
5ညဉ့်အခါ ဂိဗာမြို့သားတို့သည် ထ၍ အကျွန်ုပ်တည်းခိုသောအိမ်ကို ဝိုင်းလျက်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ကို တိုက် သတ်မည် အားထုတ်ကြပါ၏။ မယားငယ် သေသည်တိုင်အောင် ရှုတ်ချကြပါ၏။ -
6And I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel; for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.
6အကျွန်ုပ်သည်လည်း မယားငယ်အကောင်ကိုယူ၍ အပိုင်းပိုင်းဖြတ်ပြီးမှ၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုး အမွေခံ ရာ ပြည်တရှောက်လုံးသို့ ပေးလိုက်ပါ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သူတို့သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး၌ ဆိုးညစ် သောအမှု၊ အဓမ္မအမှုကို ပြုကြပါပြီ။-
7Behold, ye children of Israel, all of you, give here your advice and counsel.
7သင်တို့ရှိသမျှသည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး ဖြစ်ကြပါ၏။ ဤအရပ်၌ တိုင်ပင်စီရင်ကြပါလော့ဟု ပြောဆို လေ၏။-
8And all the people arose as one man, saying, We will not any of us go to his tent, neither will we any of us turn unto his house.
8လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် တယောက်သောသူကဲ့သို့ ထ၍ ငါတို့သည် တယောက်မျှ မိမိတဲသို့မသွား၊ မိမိ အိမ်သို့မပြန်။-
9But now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah: [we will go up] against it by lot;
9ဂိဗာမြို့၌ အဘယ်သို့ ပြုမည်နည်း ဟူမူကား၊ စာရေးတံချ၍ အတိုက်သွားမည်။
10and we will take ten men of a hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and a hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victuals for the people, that they may do, when they come to Gibeah of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.
10ဗင်္ယာမိန်ခရိုင် ဂိဗာမြို့သားတို့သည်၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးတို့၌ ပြုသမျှသော အဓမ္မအမှုနှင့် ညီလျော်စွာ လူများတို့သည် ထိုမြို့သို့ရောက်၍ အပြစ်ဒဏ်ပေးမည်အကြောင်း၊ သူတို့စားစရိတ်ကို ပို့စေခြင်းငှါ ဣသရေလအမျိုးအနွယ်အပေါင်းတို့၌ လူတရာတွင် တဆယ်၊ တထောင်တွင်တရာ၊ တသောင်းတွင် တထောင်တို့ကို ရွေးကောက်ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ဆိုလျက်၊
11So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.
11ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့တဘက်၌ စည်းဝေး၍ တယောက်သောသူကဲ့သို့ သင်းဖွဲ့လျက်နေကြ၏။
12And the tribes of Israel sent men through all the tribe of Benjamin, saying, What wickedness is this that is come to pass among you?
12ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်ခရိုင်တရှောက်လုံးသို့ စေလွှတ်၍၊ သင်တို့တွင် ပြုသော ဤအဓမ္မအမှုကား အဘယ်သို့နည်း။
13Now therefore deliver up the men, the base fellows, that are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel.
13ယခုမှာ ဂီဗာမြို့၌ရှိသော ထိုအဓမ္မလူတို့ကို ငါတို့ယူ၍ သတ်သဖြင့် ဣသရေလအမျိုးထဲက ဒုစရိုက် အပြစ်ကို ပယ်ရှားမည်အကြောင်း ထိုလူတို့ကိုအပ်ကြပါဟု မှာလိုက်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့သည်၊ ညီအစ်ကို ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့စကားကို နားမထောင်ဘဲ၊
14And the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel.
14ထိုအမျိုးသားတို့ကို စစ်တိုက်ခြင်းငှါ၊ အမြို့မြို့အရွာရွာက ထွက်၍ ဂိဗာမြို့၌ စည်းဝေးကြ၏။-
15And the children of Benjamin were numbered on that day out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, besides the inhabitants of Gibeah, who were numbered seven hundred chosen men.
15ထိုအခါ ဂိဗာမြို့သား ယောက်ျားကောင်း ခုနစ်ရာမှတပါး အမြို့မြို့အရွာရွာက လာသော ဗင်္ယာ မိန် အမျိုးသား အရေအတွက်ကား၊ ထားလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်သောသူ နှစ်သောင်းခြောက်ထောင်တည်း။
16Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at a hair-breadth, and not miss.
16ထိုလူအပေါင်းတို့တွင် လက်ဝဲလက်ကို သုံးတတ်သဖြင့်၊ ဆံခြည်တပင်ကို လောက်လွှဲနှင့်မှန်အောင် ပစ်နိုင်သော ယောက်ျားကောင်း ခုနှစ်ရာပါသတည်း။
17And the men of Israel, besides Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these were men of war.
17ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားမှတပါး ထားလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်၍ စစ်သူရဲဖြစ်သော ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား အရေ အတွက်ကား လေးသိန်းတည်း။
18And the children of Israel arose, and went up to Beth-el, and asked counsel of God; and they said, Who shall go up for us first to battle against the children of Benjamin? And Jehovah said, Judah [shall go up] first.
18ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ အိမ်တော်သို့ ထ၍ သွားပြီးလျှင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွင် အဘယ်သူသည် ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးကို အဦး ချီသွားရပါမည်နည်းဟု ဘုရားသခင်ထံတော်၌ မေးလျှောက် ကြသော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက၊ ယုဒသည် အဦးချီသွားရမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
19And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against Gibeah.
19နံနက်စောစော ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ထ၍ ဂိဗာမြို့အနား၌ တပ်ချပြီးမှ၊
20And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel set the battle in array against them at Gibeah.
20ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကို တိုက်ခြင်းငှါ ချီသွား၍ ဂိဗာမြို့ရှေ့မှာ စစ်ခင်းကျင်းလျက် နေကြ၏။
21And the children of Benjamin came forth out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites on that day twenty and two thousand men.
21ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့ထဲက ထွက်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထိုနေ့တွင် ဣသရေလ လူတသောင်း နှစ်ထောင်တို့ကို မြေပေါ်မှာ လှဲ၍ သတ်ကြ၏။
22And the people, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves, and set the battle again in array in the place where they set themselves in array the first day.
22သို့ရာတွင် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ရဲရင့်သောစိတ်ကိုယူ၍ ပဌမနေ့တွင် စစ်ခင်းကျင်းသော အရပ်၌ တဖန်ခင်းကျင်းကြ၏။
23And the children of Israel went up and wept before Jehovah until even; and they asked of Jehovah, saying, Shall I again draw nigh to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother? And Jehovah said, Go up against him.
23ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်သို့ သွား၍ ညဦးယံတိုင်အောင် ငိုကြွေးလျက်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ညီ ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုး သားတို့ကို တဖန်စစ်တိုက်ရပါမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရားအား မေးလျှောက်သော်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားက ချီသွားကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
24And the children of Israel came near against the children of Benjamin the second day.
24ဒုတိယနေ့တွင် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးတို့အနီးသို့ ချဉ်းကြသောအခါ၊
25And Benjamin went forth against them out of Gibeah the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew the sword.
25ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့ထဲက ထွက်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထားလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်သော ဣသရေလ လူတသောင်းရှစ်ထောင်တို့ကို မြေပေါ်၌ လှဲ၍ သတ်ကြ၏။
26Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto Beth-el, and wept, and sat there before Jehovah, and fasted that day until even; and they offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings before Jehovah.
26ထိုအခါ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား အပေါင်းတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်အိမ်တော်သို့သွား၍ ငိုကြွေးလျက်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်၌ ဝပ်လျက်၊ တနေ့လုံး ညဦးယံတိုင်အောင် အစာကို ရှောင်၍ ထာဝရဘုရားအား မီးရှို့ရာယဇ်၊ မိဿဟာယယဇ်တို့ကို ပူဇော်ကြ၏။
27And the children of Israel asked of Jehovah (for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,
27ထိုကာလ၌ ဘုရားသခင်၏ ပဋိညာဉ် သေတ္တာတော်ပါလျက်၊ အာရုန်၏သားဖြစ်သော ဧလာဇာ၏ သား ဖိနဟတ်သည်၊ သေတ္တာတော်ရှေ့မှာ အမှုစောင့်သည် ဖြစ်၍၊-
28and Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of Benjamin my brother, or shall I cease? And Jehovah said, Go up; for to-morrow I will deliver him into thy hand.
28ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့က၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ညီဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကို တဖန်သွား၍ တိုက်ရပါမည်လော၊ မသွားဘဲနေရပါမည်လောဟု ထာဝရဘုရားအား မေးလျှောက်သော်၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားက သွားကြလော့။ နက်ဖြန်နေ့တွင် သူတို့ကို သင်တို့လက်၌ ငါအပ်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
29And Israel set liers-in-wait against Gibeah round about.
29ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့ပတ်လည်၌ ကင်းစောင့်လူတို့ကို ထားပြီးမှ၊
30And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and set themselves in array against Gibeah, as at other times.
30တတိယနေ့တွင် ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့ရှိရာသို့ ချီသွား၍၊ ယမန်ကဲ့သို့ ဂိဗာမြို့အနား၌ စစ်ခင်းကျင်း လျက် နေကြ၏။
31And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite and kill of the people, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to Beth-el, and the other to Gibeah, in the field, about thirty men of Israel.
31ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုးသားတို့သည် အတိုက်ထွက်၍ မြို့နှင့်ကွာသွားကြ၏။ ဗေသလမြို့သို့ သွားသောလမ်း၊ ဂိဗာတောရွာသို့ သွားသောလမ်းတွင် ယမန်ကဲ့သို့ ဣသရေအလအမျိုးသူရဲတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံစပြု၍ လူသုံးဆယ်ခန့်မျှ သေကြ၏။
32And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them away from the city unto the highways.
32ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့က၊ သူတို့သည် ယမန်ကဲ့သို့ ငါတို့ရှေ့မှာ ရှုံးကြပြီဟု ဆိုသော်လည်း၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့က ပြေးကြကုန်အံ့၊ သူတို့ကို မြို့နှင့်ဝေးသော လမ်းတို့သို့ သွေးဆောင်ကြကုန်အံ့ဟု ဆိုလျက်၊
33And all the men of Israel rose up out of their place, and set themselves in array at Baal-tamar: and the liers-in-wait of Israel brake forth out of their place, even out of Maareh-geba.
33ဣသရေလလူအပေါင်းတို့သည် မိမိတို့ နေရာအရပ်မှထ၍ ဗာလတာမာမြို့၌ စစ်ခင်းကြ၏။ ကင်း စောင့်လျက်နေသော ဣသရေလလူတို့သည်လည်း မိမိတို့နေရာ ဂိဗာလွင်ပြင်မှ ထကြသဖြင့်၊
34And there came over against Gibeah ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore; but they knew not that evil was close upon them.
34ဣသရေလအမျိုးသား ယောက်ျားကောင်း တသောင်းတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့သို့ ချီလာ၍၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန် အမျိုး သားတို့သည် ဘေးရောက်လုနီးသည်ကို မရိပ်မိသောကြောင့်၊ ကျပ်တည်းစွာ ဆီး၍ တိုက်ကြ၏။
35And Jehovah smote Benjamin before Israel; and the children of Israel destroyed of Benjamin that day twenty and five thousand and a hundred men: all these drew the sword.
35ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့ကို ဣသရေလလူတို့ရှေ့မှာ ရှုံးစေတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ ထို့နေ့ တွင် ဣသရေလ လူတို့သည် ထားလက်နက်စွဲကိုင်သော ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူနှစ်သောင်းငါးထောင်တရာ တို့ကို ပယ်ရှင်းကြ၏။
36So the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten; for the men of Israel gave place to Benjamin, because they trusted unto the liers-in-wait whom they had set against Gibeah.
36ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် မိမိတို့ ရှုံးသည်ကို သိမြင်ကြ၏။ ဣသရေလူတို့သည်၊ ဂိဗာမြို့အနား၌ ထားသော ကင်းတပ်ကို ကိုးစားသောကြောင့်၊ အစက ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့ရှေ့မှာ ဆုတ်ကြ၏
37And the liers-in-wait hasted, and rushed upon Gibeah; and the liers-in-wait drew themselves along, and smote all the city with the edge of the sword.
37ကင်းတပ်သားတို့သည် ဂိဗာမြို့သို့ တဟုန်တည်းပြေးဝင်၍ အနှံ့အပြား တိုက်သဖြင့် တမြို့လုံးကို ထားနှင့်လုပ်ကြံကြ၏။
38Now the appointed sign between the men of Israel and the liers-in-wait was, that they should make a great cloud of smoke rise up out of the city.
38မြို့ထဲမှာ ကြီးစွာသော မီးခိုးတက်စေရမည်အကြောင်း ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် ကင်းစောင့်လူတို့အား အကြံပေးနှင့်ကြပြီဖြစ်၍၊
39And the men of Israel turned in the battle, and Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons; for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, as in the first battle.
39ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် စစ်တိုက်ရာတွင် ဆုတ်သောအခါ၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့က၊ အကယ်၍ သူတို့သည် ယမန်စစ်ရှုံးသကဲ့သို့ ငါတို့ရှေ့မှာ ရှုံးကြပြီဟု ဆိုလျက် သူရဲတို့ကို လုပ်ကြံစပြု၍ လူသုံးဆယ်ခန့်မျှ သေကြ၏။
40But when the cloud began to arise up out of the city in a pillar of smoke, the Benjamites looked behind them; and, behold, the whole of the city went up [in smoke] to heaven.
40တဖန် မီးလောင်၍ ထူထပ်သော မီးခိုးသည် မြို့ထဲမှာ တက်စရှိသောအခါ၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့သည် ပြန်ကြည့်၍ မြို့ကိုလောင်သော မီးလျှံသည် မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်သို့ တက်သည်ကို မြင်ကြ၍၊
41And the men of Israel turned, and the men of Benjamin were dismayed; for they saw that evil was come upon them.
41ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် လှည့်၍ ပြန်သောအခါ၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့သည် ဘေးရောက်ကြောင်းကို သိမြင်လျှင်၊-
42Therefore they turned their backs before the men of Israel unto the way of the wilderness; but the battle followed hard after them; and they that came out of the cities destroyed them in the midst thereof.
42မိန်းမောတွေဝေ၍ ဣသရေလလူတို့ရှေ့မှာ တောလမ်းသို့ ပြေးသော်လည်း၊ စစ်တိုက်လိုက်လာ သော သူတို့သည် မှီသဖြင့် ပြေးသော သူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ မြို့ရွာများထဲက ထွက်လာသောသူတို့ကို၎င်း၊ တပြိုင်နက်ဖျက်ဆီးကြ၏။
43They inclosed the Benjamites round about, [and] chased them, [and] trod them down at [their] resting-place, as far as over against Gibeah toward the sunrising.
43ဗင်္ယာမိန်လူတို့ကို ဝိုင်းလျက်လိုက်လျက်၊ နုခါရွာမှစ၍ နေထွက်ရာဘက်၊ ဂိဗာမြို့အနားတိုင်အောင် နှိပ်နင်းကြ၏။
44And there fell of Benjamin eighteen thousand men; all these [were] men of valor.
44ထိုအခါ ဗင်္ယာမိန်သူရဲ တသောင်းရှစ်ထောင်တို့သည် လဲ၍ သေကြ၏။
45And they turned and fled toward the wilderness unto the rock of Rimmon: and they gleaned of them in the highways five thousand men, and followed hard after them unto Gidom, and smote of them two thousand men.
45ကြွင်းသော သူတို့သည် လှည့်၍ တောအရပ် ရိမ္မုန်ကျောက်သို့ ပြေးကြစဉ်တွင်၊ လိုက်သော သူတို့သည် လူငါးထောင်တို့ကို လမ်းမှာဖမ်းမိကြ၏။ ဂိဒုံမြို့တိုင်အောင် အပြင်းလိုက်၍ လူနှစ်ထောင်တို့ကိုလည်း သတ်ကြ၏။
46So that all who fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these [were] men of valor.
46ထိုနေ့တွင် လဲ၍ သေသော ဗင်္ယာမိန် ထားစွဲသူရဲတို့ အရေအတွက်ကား၊ နှစ်သောင်းငါးထောင်တည်း။
47But six hundred men turned and fled toward the wilderness unto the rock of Rimmon, and abode in the rock of Rimmon four months.
47လူခြောက်ရာတို့သည် လှည့်၍ တောအရပ်ရိမ္မုန်ကျောက်ကို မှီအောင်ပြေးသဖြင့်၊ ထိုကျောက် အောက်မှာ လေးလနေကြ၏။
48And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, both the entire city, and the cattle, and all that they found: moreover all the cities which they found they set on fire.
48ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် တဖန် လှည့်၍၊ ဗင်္ယာမိန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကို တိုက်လျက် မြို့ရွာ၌ ရှိသောလူ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်တွေ့သမျှတို့ကို ထားနှင့်လုပ်ကြံ၍၊ တွေ့သမျှသော မြို့ရွာတို့ကို မီးရှို့ကြ၏။
