¹Now it came to pass on a sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

¹ဒုတိယဧကဒက်ဥပုသ်နေ့၌ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဂျုံစပါးလယ်ကွက်တို့ကို ရှောင်ကြွတော်မူလျှင်၊ တပည့် တော်တို့သည် စပါးအသီးအနှံကိုဆွတ်၍ လက်နှင့်ပွတ်နယ်စားကြ၏။

²But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?

²ဖာရိရှဲအချို့တို့က၊ ဥပုသ်နေ့၌ မပြုအပ်သောအမှုကိုသင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်ပြုကြသနည်းဟု ဆို ကြသော်၊

³And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him;

³ယေရှုက၊ ဒါဝိဒ်သည် မိမိအဘော်သို့နှင့်တကွ မွတ်သိပ်သောအခါ၊

⁴how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone?

⁴ဘုရားသခင်၏ အိမ်တော်သို့ဝင်၍ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်တို့မှတပါး အဘယ်သူမျှမစားအပ်သော ရှေ့တော် မုန့်ကို ယူစား၍၊ မိမိအဘော်တို့အားပေးသည်အကြောင်းကိုမျှ သင်တို့သည်မတတ်ဘူးသလော။

⁵And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.

⁵ထိုမှတပါး၊ လူသားသည် ဥပုသ်နေ့ကိုပင် အစိုးရသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.

⁶အခြားသောဥပုသ်နေ့၌ ကိုယ်တော်သည်တရားစရပ်သို့ ဝင်၍ဆုံးမဩဝါဒ ပေးတော်မူသည်တွင်၊ ထိုစရပ်၌ လက်ျာလက်သေသောသူ တယောက်ရှိ၏။

⁷And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

⁷ဥပုသ်နေ့၌ သူ၏ရောဂါကို ငြိမ်းစေမည် မငြိမ်းစေမည်ကို ကျမ်းပြုစရာနှင့်ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်၌ အပြစ်တင်ခွင့်ကို ရှာ၍ချောင်းကြည့်ကြ၏။

⁸But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

⁸ကိုယ်တော်သည် ထိုသူတို့အကြံအစည်ကိုသိလျှင်၊ လက်သေသောသူအား၊ ထလော့။ အလယ်၌ မတ် တတ်နေလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ထိုသူသည်ထ၍ မတ်တတ်နေ၏။

⁹And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?

⁹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ သင်တို့ကိုငါမေးမည်။ ဥပုသ်နေ့၌ အဘယ်သို့ပြုအပ်တနည်း။ ကျေးဇူးပြုအပ်သလော။ သူ့အကျိုးကို ဖျက်ဆီးအပ်သလော။ အသက်ကို ကယ်အပ်သလော၊ သတ်အပ်သလောဟု ပရိတ်သတ်တို့အား မေးတော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊

¹⁰And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored.

¹⁰ထိုသူ အပေါင်းတို့ကို ပတ်လည်ကြည့်ရှုလျက်၊ သင်၏လက်ကို ဆန့်လော့ဟု ထိုသူအားမိန့်တော်မူ၍ သူသည်မိမိလက်ကိုဆန့်လျှင်၊ ထိုလက်သည် လက်တဘက်ကဲ့သို့ ပကတိဖြစ်လေ၏။

¹¹But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

¹¹ထိုသူများတို့သည် ဒေါသစိတ်နှင့် ယစ်မူး၍ ယေရှုအား အဘယ်သို့ပြုအံ့နည်းဟု အချင်းချင်း ဆွေးနွေး ကြ၏။

¹²And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.

¹²ထိုနေ့ရက်ကာလ၌ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဆုတောင်းပဌနာပြုခြင်းငှါ တောင်ပေါ်သို့ကြွ၍ ဘုရားသခင်အား ဆုတောင်းပဌာနာပြုလျက် တညဉ့်နေတော်မူ၏။

¹³And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:

¹³မိုဃ်းလင်းသောအခါ တပည့်တော်တို့ကို ခေါ်တော်မူ၍၊

¹⁴Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

¹⁴ပေတရုအမည်သစ်ကိုရသော ရှိမုန်နှင့်သူ့ညီ အန္ဒြေ၊ ယာကုပ်နှင့်ယောဟန်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုနှင့် ဗာသောလမဲ၊

¹⁵and Matthew and Thomas, and James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,

¹⁵မဿဲနှင့်သောမ၊ အာလဖဲ၏သားယာကုပ်နှင့် ဇေလုပ်ဟုခေါ်ဝေါ်သော ရှိမုန်၊

¹⁶and Judas [the son] of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;

¹⁶ယာကုပ်၏ ညီယုဒနှင့် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုအပ်နှံသော ယုဒရှကာရုတ်တည်းဟူသော တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးတို့ကို ရွေးကောက်၍ တမန်တော်အမည်ဖြင့် သမုတ်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁷and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judaea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

¹⁷ထိုသူတို့နှင့်တကွ ကိုယ်တော်သည် တောင်ပေါ်ကဆင်းကြွ၍ မြေညီရာအရပ်၌ ရပ်တော်မူ၏။ တရား နာခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှစ၍ ယုဒပြည်။ ပင်လယ်ကမ်းနား၊ တုရုမြို့၊ ဇိဒုန်မြို့ အရပ်ရပ်တို့က လာကြ သော လူအစုအဝေးအပေါင်းတို့နှင့် တပည့်တော်အပေါင်းတို့သည် ရှိကြ၏။

¹⁸and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed.

¹⁸ညစ်ညူးသော နတ်ညှင်းဆဲသောသူတို့သည်လည်း လာ၍ချမ်းသာရကြ၏။

¹⁹And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed [them] all.

¹⁹ကိုယ်တော်အထဲက တန်ခိုးထွက်၍ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို သက်သောစေတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ပရိတ်သတ် အပေါင်း တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုတို့ခြင်းငှါ ရှာကြံကြ၏။

²⁰And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

²⁰ထိုအခါ ကိုယ်တော်သည်မြော်၍ တပည့်တော်ကို ကြည့်ရှုတော်မူလျှင်၊ ဆင်းရဲသောသင်တို့သည် အင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော်သည် သင်တို့၏နိုင်ငံဖြစ်၏။

²¹Blessed [are] ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are] ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

²¹ယခုတွင် ငတ်မွတ်သောသင်တို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ဝပြောခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြလတံ့။ ယခုတွင် ငိုကြွေးသော သင်တို့သည်မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ရယ်ကြ လတံ့။ သူတပါးတို့သည် လူသားကြောင့် သင်တို့ကိုမုန်းသောအခါ၊

²²Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

²²ပယ်ရှားနှင်ထုတ်၍ ကဲ့ရဲ့ခြင်း၊ အသရေရှုတ်ချခြင်းကို ပြုသောအခါ သင်တို့သည် မင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။

²³Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

²³ထိုကာလ၌ ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိကြလော့။ ရွင်မြူးသောစိတ်နှင့် ခုန်ကြလော့။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ သင်တို့၏အကျိုးသည် ကြီးလှပေ၏။ သူတို့၏ဘိုးဘေးများသည် ပရောဖက်တို့ကို ထိုသို့ပင် ပြုကြပြီ။

²⁴But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

²⁴တနည်းကား၊ ငွေရတတ်သောသင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်မူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် မိမိ သက်သာခြင်းကို ယခုခံရကြ၏။

²⁵Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe [unto you], ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

²⁵ဝစွာစားရသော သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ငတ်မွတ်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရကြလတံ့။ ယခုရယ်တတ်သောသင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ညည်း တွားငိုကြွေးရကြလတံ့။

²⁶Woe [unto you], when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.

²⁶လူတို့သည် သင်တို့ကို ချီးမွမ်းသောအခါ၊ သင်တို့သည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိကြ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သူတို့၏ ဘိုးဘေးများသည် မိစာပရောဖက်တို့ကို ထိုသို့ပင် ပြုကြပြီ။

²⁷But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

²⁷ငါ့စကားကိုကြားရသော သင်တို့အား ငါဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့၏ ရန်သူတို့ကို ချစ်ကြလော့။ သင်တို့ကို မုန်းသောသူတို့အား ကျေးဇူးပြုကြလော့။

²⁸bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

²⁸သင်တို့ကို ကျိန်ဆဲသောသူတို့အား မေတ္တာပို့ကြလော့။ သင်တို့ကို နှောင့်ရှက်သောသူတို့အဘို့ ဘုရား သခင်ကို ဆုတောင်းကြလော့။

²⁹To him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.

²⁹သင်၏ ပါးတဘက်ကို ပုတ်သောသူအား ပါးတဘက်ကိုပေးဦးလော့။ သင့်ဝတ်လုံကို သိမ်းယူသော သူအား သင့်အင်္ကျီကိုလည်း ယူစေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်ပေးဦးလော့။

³⁰Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

³⁰အကြင်သူသည် သင့်ကိုတောင်း၏။ ထိုသူအားပေးလော့။ သင့်ဥစ္စာကို သိမ်းယူသောသူအားပြန်၍ မ တောင်းနှင့်။

³¹And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

³¹သင်တို့သည် ကိုယ်၌သူတပါး ပြုစေလိုသည်အတိုင်း သူတပါး၌ ပြုကြလော့။

³²And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.

³²သင်တို့ကို ချစ်သောသူတို့အားသာ ချစ်တုံ့ပြုလျှင် အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးတင်သနည်း။ ဆိုးသောသူတို့သည် ကိုယ်ကိုချစ်သောသူတို့အား ချစ်တုံ့ပြုကြသည် မဟုတ်လော။

³³And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same.

³³သင်တို့ကို ကျေးဇူးပြုသောသူတို့အားသာ ကျေးဇူးပြုလျှင် အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးတင်သနည်း။ ဆိုးသော သူတို့သည် ဤမျှလောက် ပြုကြသည်မဟုတ်လော့။

³⁴And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.

³⁴သူတပါးအား ဥစ္စာချေးငှါးသောအခါ ဆပ်ပေးလိမ့်မည်ဟု မြော်လင့်လျက် ချေးငှါးလျှင် အဘယ် ကျေးဇူးတင်သနည်း။ ဆိုးသောသူတို့သည် ကျေးဇူးဆပ်ခြင်းကိုခံလို၍ ဆိုးသောသူချင်းတို့အား ချေးငှါးတတ် သည် မဟုတ်လော။

³⁵But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁵သင်တို့မူကား ရန်သူတို့ကိုချစ်ကြသလော။ ကျေးဇူးပြုကြလော့။ တစုံတခုကိုရမည်ဟု မြော်လင့်ခြင်း မရှိဘဲ ချေးငှါးကြလော့။ ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင် သင်တို့အကျိုးကြီးလိမ့်မည်။ အမြင့်ဆုံသောဘုရား၏ သားဖြစ်ကြလိမ့် မည်။

³⁶Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

³⁶ထိုဘုရားသည် ကျေးဇူးမသိသောသူ၊ ဆိုးညစ်သောသဘောရှိသော သူတို့အားကျေးဇူးပြုတော်မူ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် သင်တို့အဘသည် သနားခြင်းစိတ်ရှိတော်မူသည်နည်းတူ သင်တို့သည်လည်း သနားခြင်းစိတ်ရှိကြ လော့။

³⁷And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:

³⁷သူတပါး၏အမှု၌ စစ်ကြောဆုံးဖြတ်ခြင်းကို မပြုကြနှင့်။ မပြုလျှင်သင်တို့သည် စစ်ကြောဆုံးဖြတ်ခြင်း နှင့် ကင်းလွတ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သူအပါးကို အပြစ်မစီရင်ကြနှင့်။ မစီရင်လျှင်သင်တို့သည် အပြစ်စီရင်ခြင်းနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သူ့အပြစ်ကို လွှတ်ကြလော့။ လွှတ်လျှင် ကိုယ်အပြစ်လွတ်လိမ့်မည်။

³⁸give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.

³⁸သူတပါးအားပေးကြလော့။ ပေးလျှင် သူတပါးသည် သင်တို့အားပေးကြလိမ့်မည်။ အမှန်ခြင်းရုံမျှမက၊ သိပ်နှက်လျက်၊ လှုပ်လျက်၊ လျှံလျက်ရှိခြင်းနှင့် သင်တို့ရင်ခွင်၌ ပေးကြလိမ့်မည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ အကြင်ချိန်၊ တင်းပမာဏနှင့် သင်တို့သည် သူတပါးအားပေး၏၊ ထိုပမာဏအတိုင်း ကိုယ်ခံရကြမည်။

³⁹And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit?

³⁹ဥပမာကား၊ လူကန်းသည် လူကန်းကို လမ်းပြနိုင်သလော။ နှစ်ဦးတို့သည် တွင်းထဲသို့ကျလိမ့်မည် မဟုတ်လော။

⁴⁰The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher.

⁴⁰တပည့်သည် ဆရာထက်မသာ။ အပြီးသင်ပြီးသော တပည့်တိုင်း မိမိဆရာကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

⁴¹And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

⁴¹ကိုယ်မျက်စိ၌ ရှိသောတံကျင်ကို အအောက်မမေ့ဘဲ၊ ညီအစ်ကိုမျက်စိ၌ရှိသော ငြောင့်ငယ်ကို အဘယ် ကြောင့် ကြည့်ရှုသနည်း။

⁴²Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

⁴²ကိုယ်မျက်စိ၌ရှိသော တံကျင်ကို မမြင်မှတ်ဘဲလျက်၊ ညီအစ်ကို၊ သင်၏မျက်စိ၌ရှိသော ငြောင့်ငယ်ကို ထုတ်ပါရစေဟု အဘယ်သို့ညီအစ်ကိုအားဆိုရသနည်း။ လျှိုဝှက်သောသူ၊ ကိုယ်မျက်စိ၌ရှိသောတံကျင်ကို ရှေ့ဦး စွာထုတ်လော့။ နောက်မှ ညီအစ်ကို မျက်စိ၌ရှိသော ငြောင့်ငယ်ကိုထုတ်ခြင်းငှါ ရှင်းလင်းစွာမြင်လိမ့်မည်။

⁴³For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit.

⁴³မကောင်းသောအသီးကိုသီးသော အပင်ကား၊ ကောင်းသောအပင်မဟုတ်။ ကောင်းသောအသီးကို သီးသော အပင်ကား၊ မကောင်းသောအပင်မဟုတ်။

⁴⁴For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

⁴⁴အသီးကိုထောက်၍ အပင်သဘောကိုသိရ၏။ ဆူးပင်၌ သင်္ဘောသဖန်းသီးကို မဆွတ်တတ်။ တောချုံ ၌ စပျစ်သီးကိုမဆွတ်တတ်။

⁴⁵The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

⁴⁵ကောင်းသောသူသည် ကောင်းသော မိမိစိတ်နလုံး အဏ္ဍာတိုက်ထဲကကောင်းသောအရာကို ထုတ် ဘော်တတ်၏။ မကောင်းသောသူသည် မကောင်းသောအရာကိုထုတ်ဘော်တတ်၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ စိတ် နှလုံးအပြည့်ရှိသည်အတိုင်း နှုတ်မြွတ်တတ်၏။

⁴⁶And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

⁴⁶ငါ့စကားကို နားမထောင်ဘဲလျက်၊ ငါ့ကိုသခင်၊ သခင်ဟု အဘယ်ကြောင့်ခေါ်ကြသနည်း။

⁴⁷Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:

⁴⁷ငါ့ထံသို့လာ၍ ငါ့စကားကိုကြားသည်အတိုင်း နားထောင်သောသူသည် အဘယ်သူနှင့် တူသနည်း ဟူမူကား၊

⁴⁸he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.

⁴⁸တိုက်ကိုတည်သောအခါ နက်စွာတူး၍ ကျောက်ပေါ်မှာတိုက်မြစ်ချသောသူနှင့်တူ၏။ မြစ်ရေထသဖြင့် ရေစီး၍ ထိုတိုက်ကိုရိုက်ခတ်သောအခါ ကျောက်ပေါ်မှာ တည်လျက်ရှိသောကြောင့် မလှုပ်နိုင်ရာ။

⁴⁹But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.

⁴⁹ငါ့စကားကိုကြား၍ နားထောင်သောသူမူကား၊ အခုအခံမရှိဘဲ မြေပေါ်မှာ တိုက်ကိုတည်သောသူနှင့် တူ၏။ ရေစီး၍ ထိုတိုက်ကိုရိုက်ခတ်သောအခါ၊ ချက်ခြင်းလဲ၍ အကုန်အစင်ပြိုပျက်လေသည်ဟု ဟောတော်မူ ၏။
