¹On that day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side.

¹ထိုနေ့၌ ယေရှုသည် အိမ်ကထွက်၍ အိုင်နားမှာထိုင်နေတော်မူသည်တွင်၊

²And there were gathered unto him great multitudes, so that he entered into a boat, and sat; and all the multitude stood on the beach.

²များစွာသောလူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုဝန်းရံ၍စုဝေးလျက်ရှိကြသောကြောင့်၊ လှေထဲသို့ဝင်၍ ထိုင်တော်မူ၏။ ပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့သည် ကုန်းပေါ်မှာရပ်နေကြ၏။

³And he spake to them many things in parables, saying, Behold, the sower went forth to sow;

³ထိုအခါ ဥပမာစကားများတို့ကို မြွက်ဆိုတော်မူသည်မှာ၊ မျိုးစေ့ကြဲသောသူသည် မျိုးစေ့ကိုကြဲခြင်းငှါ ထွက်သွား၏။

⁴and as he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the birds came and devoured them:

⁴အစေ့ကိုကြဲသည်တွင် အချို့သောအစေ့တို့သည် လမ်း၌ကျသဖြင့် ငှက်တို့သည်လာ၍ကောက်စား ကြ ၏။

⁵and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth: and straightway they sprang up, because they had no deepness of earth:

⁵အချို့သောအစေ့တို့သည် မြေနည်း၍ ကျောက်ပေါများသောအရပ်၌ကျသဖြင့်၊ မြေတိမ်သောကြောင့် ချက်ခြင်းအပင်ပေါက်သော်လည်း၊

⁶and when the sun was risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

⁶နေထွက်သောအခါ ပူလောင်သည်ဖြစ်၍အမြစ်မစွဲသောကြောင့် ညှိုးနွမ်းပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။

⁷And others fell upon the thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked them:

⁷အချို့သောအစေ့တို့သည် ဆူးပင်တို့တွင်ကျသဖြင့်၊ ဆူးပင်တို့သည်ကြီးပွား၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲကြ၏။

⁸and others fell upon the good ground, and yielded fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

⁸အချို့သောအစေ့တို့သည် ကောင်းသောမြေ၌ကျသဖြင့်၊ အဆသုံးဆယ်၊ အဆခြောက်ဆယ်၊ အဆ တရာပွားများ၍ အသီးသီးကြ၏။

⁹He that hath ears, let him hear.

⁹ကြားစရာနားရှိသောသူ မည်သည်ကားကြားပါစေဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁰And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

¹⁰တပည့်တော်တို့သည် ချဉ်းကပ်လျက်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဥပမာကိုဆောင်၍ ဤလူတို့ အား ဟောပြောတော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

¹¹And he answered and said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

¹¹ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သင်တို့သည် ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်၏နက်နဲသော အရာတို့ကိုသိရသော အခွင့်ရှိကြ၏။ ထိုသူတို့မူကား အခွင့်မရှိကြ၊

¹²For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he hath.

¹²အကြင်သူသည် ရတတ်၏။ ထိုသူ၌ ကြွယ်ဝပြည့်စုံစေခြင်းငှါ ပေးဦးမည်။ အကြင်သူသည် ဆင်းရဲ၏။ ထိုသူ၌ရှိသမျှကိုပင် နှုတ်လိမ့်မည်။

¹³Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

¹³ထိုကြောင့် သူတို့သည် မြင်လျက်မမြင်၊ ကြားလျက်မကြား၊ အနက်ကိုလည်း နားမလည်သောကြောင့် ဥပမာကိုဆောင်၍ ငါဟောပြော၏။

¹⁴And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:

¹⁴ဟေရှာယဟောဘူးသောအနာဂတ်စကားဟူမူကား၊ သင်တို့သည် ကြားလျက်ပင် အနက်ကိုနားမလည် ဘဲ ကြားကြလိမ့်မည်။ မြင်လျက်ပင် အာရုံမပြုဘဲမြင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။

¹⁵For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.

¹⁵အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် မျက်စိမမြင်၊ နားမကြား၊ စိတ်နှလုံးမသိ၊ အကျင့်မပြောင်းလဲ၊ သူတို့ အနာရောဂါကို ငါမငြိမ်းစေရသည်တိုင်အောင်၊ သူတို့စိတ်နှလုံးသည်မိုက်လျက်၊ နားသည်ထိုင်းလျက်၊ ကိုယ် မျက်စိကိုပိတ်လျက်ရှိကြ၏ဟူသောစကားသည် ဤလူတို့၌ ပြည့်စုံခြင်းသို့ရောက်သတည်း။

¹⁶But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

¹⁶သင်တို့မျက်စိသည် မြင်သောကြောင့်မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ သင်တို့နားသည်လည်း ကြားသောကြောင့် မင်္ဂလာ ရှိ၏။

¹⁷For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

¹⁷ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့ မြင်ရသောအရာတို့ကိုပရောဖက်များနှင့် ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူများတို့သည် မြင်ခြင်းငှါအလိုရှိသော်လည်း မမြင်ရကြ။ သင်တို့ကြားရသောအရာတို့ကို ကြားခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိသော်လည်း မကြားရကြ။

¹⁸Hear then ye the parable of the sower.

¹⁸မျိုးစေ့ကြဲသောသူ၏ဥပမာအနက်အဓိပ္ပာယ်ကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။

¹⁹When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, [then] cometh the evil [one], and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side.

¹⁹လမ်း၌ အစေ့ကိုကြဲခြင်းအကြောင်းအရာကား၊ နိုင်ငံတော်၏တရားစကားကိုကြား၍ နှလုံးမသွင်းသည် ရှိသော်၊ နတ်ဆိုးလာ၍ နှလုံး၌ကြဲသောအစေ့ကို နှုတ်ယူတတ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။

²⁰And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it;

²⁰ကျောက်ပေါသောအရပ်၌ အစေ့ကိုကြဲခြင်းအကြောင်းအရာကား၊ တရားစကားကိုကြား၍ ဝမ်းမြောက် သောစိတ်နှင့် ချက်ခြင်းခံယူသော်လည်း၊

²¹yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth.

²¹စိတ်နှလုံး၌ အမြစ်မစွဲခဏသာတည်သဖြင့်၊ တရားစကားကြောင့်အမှုအခင်းနှင့် ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းကို ခံရ သောအခါ ချက်ခြင်းဖောက်ပြန်တတ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။

²²And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

²²ဆူးပင်တို့တွင် အစေ့ကိုကြဲခြင်းအကြောင်းအရာကား တရားစကားကိုကြား၍လောကီအမှု၌ စိုးရိမ်ခြင်း နှင့် စည်းစိမ်ဥစ္စာ၏လှည့်စားခြင်းသည် တရားစကားကို လွှမ်းမိုးညှဉ်းဆဲတတ်သောကြောင့် အသီးမသီးနိုင်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။

²³And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

²³ကောင်းသောမြေ၌ အစေ့ကိုကြဲခြင်းအကြောင်းအရာကား၊ တရားစကားကိုကြား၍ နှလုံးသွင်းသဖြင့်၊ အဆသုံးဆယ်၊ အဆခြောက်ဆယ်၊ အဆတရာပွားများ၍ အသီးသီးတတ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်းဟု မိန့်တော်မူ ၏။

²⁴Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:

²⁴အခြားသော ဥပမာစကားကိုမိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် ကောင်းသောမျိုး စေ့ကို လယ်၌ကြဲသောသူနှင့်တူ၏။

²⁵but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away.

²⁵လူတို့သည် အိပ်ပျော်သောအခါ သူ၏ရန်သူသည်လာ၍ကောင်းသောစပါးနှင့်လက္ခဏာတူသော တော မျိုးစေ့ကို စပါးအထဲ၌ကြဲ၍ သွားလေ၏။

²⁶But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

²⁶အပင်ပေါက်၍ အသီးအနှံထွက်သောအခါ၊ တောပင်များလည်းထင်ရှားလျှင်၊

²⁷And the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? whence then hath it tares?

²⁷ကျွန်တို့သည် အိမ်ရှင်ထံသို့သွား၍ သခင်၊ ကောင်းသောမျိုးစေ့ကို လယ်၌ကြဲတော်မူသည် မဟုတ် လော။ တောပင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကဖြစ်သနည်းဟု လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

²⁸And he said unto them, An enemy hath done this. And the servants say unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

²⁸အိမ်ရှင်က ဤအမှုကား ရန်သူပြုသောအမှုတည်းဟု ဆို၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်သွား၍ တောပင်တို့ကို ရွေးနှုတ်စေခြင်းငှါ အလိုတော်ရှိသလောဟု လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

²⁹But he saith, Nay; lest haply while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them.

²⁹အိမ်ရှင်က ထိုသို့ငါအလိုမရှိ။ တောပင်တို့ကိုရွေးနှုတ်လျှင် စပါးပင်တို့ကိုရောနှော၍ နှုတ်မိမည် စိုးရိမ် စရာအကြောင်းရှိ၏။

³⁰Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.

³⁰စပါးရိတ်သည်ကာလတိုင်အောင် အပင်နှစ်မျိုးတို့သည် အတူကြီးပွားပါလေစေ။ စပါးရိတ်သည်ကာလ ရောက်လျှင်၊ တောပင်တို့ကို ရှေ့ဦးစွာရွေးနှုတ်၍ မီးရှို့ခြင်းငှါစည်းနှောင်ကြလော့။ စပါးကိုကား ကျီ၌စုသိမ်း သွင်းထားကြလော့ဟု ရိတ်သောသူတို့အား ငါစီရင်မည်ဟု အိမ်ရှင်ဆိုသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³¹Another parable set he before them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

³¹အခြားသောဥပမာစကားကို မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် လယ်၌စိုက်သော မုန်ညင်းစေ့နှင့်တူ၏။

³²which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.

³²မုန်ညင်းစေ့သည် အစေ့တကာတို့ထက် ငယ်သော်လည်း၊ ကြီးပွားသောအခါ မြက်ပင်တကာတို့ထက် ကြီးသဖြင့် မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်ငှက်တို့သည်လာ၍ အကိုင်းအခက်တို့၌နားနေ မှီခိုလောက်သောအပင် ဖြစ်တတ် သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³³Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.

³³အခြားသောဥပမာစကားကို မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် တဆေးနှင့်တူ၏။ မိန်းမသည် တဆေးကိုယူ၍ မုန့်ညက်သုံးတင်း၌ထည့်သဖြင့်၊ မုန့်ညက်ရှိသမျှကို ဖောင်းကြွစေတတ်သည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

³⁴All these things spake Jesus in parables unto the multitudes; and without a parable spake he nothing unto them:

³⁴ယေရှုသည် ဤဥပမာများတို့ကိုဆောင်၍ ပရိတ်သတ်များတို့အားဟောပြောတော်မူ၏။ ဥပမာကင်း၍ ဟောပြောတော်မမူ၊

³⁵that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.

³⁵ထိုသို့သောအားဖြင့် ပရောဖက်စကားဟူမူကား၊ ငါသည်နှုတ်ကိုဖွင့်၍ ဥပမာများကိုမြွက်ဆိုအံ့။ ကမ္ဘာဦးမှစ၍ ထိမ်ဝှက်သောအရာတို့ကိုဘော်ပြပေအံ့ဟု ဟောဘူးသောစကားသည် ပြည့်စုံခြင်းသို့ ရောက် သတည်း။

³⁶Then he left the multitudes, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Explain unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

³⁶ထိုနောက်မှ ယေရှုသည် လူအစုအဝေးများကိုလွှတ်၍ အိမ်သို့ဝင်တော်မူပြီးမှ၊ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊ လယ်၌ကြဲသောတောမျိုးစေ့၏ ဥပမာအနက်အဓိပ္ပါယ်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား ဘော်ပြတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

³⁷And he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

³⁷ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ကောင်းသောမျိုးစေ့ကိုကြဲသောသူသည် လူသားဖြစ်၏။

³⁸and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil [one];

³⁸လယ်ကား ဤလောကဖြစ်၏။ ကောင်းသောအစေ့ကား နိုင်ငံတော်သားဖြစ်၏။ တောမျိုးစေ့ကား နတ် ဆိုးသားဖြစ်၏။

³⁹and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are angels.

³⁹တောမျိုးစေ့ကိုကြဲသောရန်သူကား မာရ်နတ်ဖြစ်၏။ စပါးရိတ်သောကာလကား ဤကမ္ဘာကုန်သော ကာလဖြစ်၏။ စပါးရိတ်သောသူကား ကောင်းကင်တမန်ဖြစ်၏။

⁴⁰As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in the end of the world.

⁴⁰တောပင်တို့ကိုရွေးနှုတ်၍ မီးရှို့သကဲ့သို့ ဤကမ္ဘာအဆုံး၌ဖြစ်လတံ့။

⁴¹The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,

⁴¹လူသားသည် မိမိကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ မှားယွင်းစေသောသူတို့နှင့် မတရားသော အမှုကို ပြုသောသူရှိသမျှတို့ကို နိုင်ငံတော်ထဲကရွေးနှုတ်၍၊

⁴²and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

⁴²ငိုကြွေးခြင်း၊ အံသွားခဲကြိတ်ခြင်းရှိရာ မီးဖို၌ချကြလတံ့။

⁴³Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, let him hear.

⁴³ထိုအခါ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့သည် နေထွန်းလင်းသကဲ့သို့ မိမိတို့အဘ၏နိုင်ငံတော်၌ ထွန်းလင်းကြ လတံ့။ ကြားစရာနားရှိသောသူသည် မည်သည်ကားကြားပါစေ။

⁴⁴The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

⁴⁴တနည်းကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် လယ်၌ဝှက်ထားသောဘဏ္ဍာကိုတွေ့သောသူသည် တဖန် ဖုံးအုပ်၍၊ ဝမ်းမြောက်သောစိတ်နှင့် သွားပြီးလျှင်၊ ရတတ်သမျှကိုရောင်း၍ ထိုလယ်ကိုဝယ်တတ်၏။

⁴⁵Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls:

⁴⁵တနည်းကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် မြတ်သောပုလဲတို့ကိုရှာသော ကုန်သည်နှင့်တူ၏။

⁴⁶and having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

⁴⁶ထိုကုန်သည်သည် အလွန်အဘိုးထိုက်သောပုလဲကိုတွေ့သောအခါ၊ သွား၍ မိမိ၌ရတတ်သမျှကို ရောင်းပြီးလျှင် ထိုပုလဲကိုဝယ်လေ၏။

⁴⁷Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

⁴⁷တနည်းကား၊ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်သည် ပင်လယ်၌ချ၍ အမျိုးမျိုးသောငါးတို့ကို အုပ်မိသောပိုက် ကွန်နှင့်တူ၏။

⁴⁸which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but the bad they cast away.

⁴⁸ငါးနှင့်အပြည့်ရှိသောအခါ တံငါတို့သည် ကုန်းပေါ်သို့ဆွဲတင်၍ထိုင်လျက်၊ ကောင်းသောငါးကို ခြင်း ထဲသို့ ရွေးချယ်ထည့်ထား၍၊ မကောင်းသောငါးကို ပြင်သို့ပစ်လိုက်ကြ၏။

⁴⁹So shall it be in the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the righteous,

⁴⁹ထိုနည်းတူ ကမ္ဘာအဆုံး၌ ကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့သည် ဆင်းလာပြီးလျှင်၊ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့အထဲမှ ဆိုးသောသူတို့ကို နှုတ်ယူခွဲထား၍၊

⁵⁰and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

⁵⁰ငိုးကြွေးခြင်း၊ အံသွားခဲကြိတ်ခြင်းရှိရာ မီးဖို၌ ချကြလတံ့။

⁵¹Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea.

⁵¹ဤအရာအလုံးစုံတို့ကို သင်တို့သည် နားလည်ကြသလောဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ နားလည်ပါပြီသခင်ဟု တပည့်တော်တို့သည် လျှောက်ကြ၏။

⁵²And he said unto them, Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

⁵²ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ကောင်းကင်နိုင်ငံတော်၏ အကြောင်းအရာကို သင်ပြီးသောကျမ်းဆရာ မည်သည်ကား၊ မိမိဘဏ္ဍာထဲက အထူးထူးအပြားပြားသော အသစ်ဟောင်းတို့ကို ထုတ်ဘော်သောအိမ်ရှင်နှင့် တူသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵³And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

⁵³ထိုဥပမာစကားများကို အကုန်အစင်မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူပြီးလျှင် ထိုအရပ်မှကြွသွားတော်မူ၏။

⁵⁴And coming into his own country he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

⁵⁴ထိုနောက်မှ မိမိမြို့သို့ရောက်တော်မူ၍ တရားစရပ်၌ဆုံးမဩဝါဒပေးလေ၏။ မြို့သားတို့သည် မိန်း မောတွေဝေခြင်းရှိကြသဖြင့်၊ ဤသူသည် ဤပညာကို၎င်း၊ ဤတန်ခိုးကို၎င်း အဘယ်မှာရသနည်း။

⁵⁵Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Judas?

⁵⁵သူသည် လက်သမားသားမဟုတ်လော။ သူ့အမိကား မာရိအမည်ရှိသည်မဟုတ်လော။ သူ့ညီကား၊ ယာကုပ်၊ ယောသေ၊ ရှိမုန်၊ ယုဒဟုဆိုကြသည် မဟုတ်လော။

⁵⁶And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

⁵⁶သူ့နှမများတို့သည်လည်း ငါတို့နှင့်အနီးအပါးနေကြသည်မဟုတ်လော။ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ဤသူသည် ဤ အရာများကို အဘယ်မှာရသနည်းဟု ပြောဆိုလျက်၊

⁵⁷And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.

⁵⁷စေတနာစိတ်ပျက်ကြ၏။ ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ပရောဖတ်သည် မိမိမြို့၊ မိမိအိမ်မှတပါး အခြားသောအရပ် ၌ အသရေရှိသည်ဟု ထိုသူတို့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵⁸And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

⁵⁸မြို့သားများတို့သည် မယုံကြည်ကြသောကြောင့်၊ ထိုအရပ်၌ များစွာသောတန်ခိုးကို ပြတော်မမူ။
