1Hear, [my] sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:
1ငါ့သားတို့၊ အဘ၏နည်းဥပဒေသကို နားထောင်၍၊ ဥာဏ်သဘောကို နားလည်ခြင်းငှါ စေ့စေ့မှတ် ကြလော့။
2For I give you good doctrine; Forsake ye not my law.
2ကောင်းသောဩဝါဒကို ငါပေး၏။ ငါ့ပညတ် တရားကို မပယ်ကြနှင့်။
3For I was a son unto my father, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
3ငါမူကား၊ အဘ၏ရင်နှစ်၊ အမိရှေ့မှာနူးညံ့၍ အချစ်ဆုံးသော သားဖြစ်၏။
4And he taught me, and said unto me: Let thy heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live;
4ငါ့အဘသွန်သင်၍မြွက်ဆိုလေသည်ကား၊ ငါ့စကားကို သင်၏နှလုံး၌ သွင်းမိ၍၊ ငါ့ပညတ်တို့ကို ကျင့်စောင့်သဖြင့် အသက်ရှင်လော့။
5Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget not, neither decline from the words of my mouth;
5ပညာကိုဆည်းဖူးလော့။ ဥာဏ်ကို ဆည်းဖူး လော့။ သတိမလစ်စေနှင့်။ ငါ၏နှုတ်ထွက်စကားကို မလွှဲမရှောင်နှင့်။
6Forsake her not, and she will preserve thee; Love her, and she will keep thee.
6ပညာကိုမစွန့်နှင့်။ သူသည်သင့်ကို ထိန်းသိမ်း လိမ့်မည်။ သူ့ကိုချစ်လော့။ သင့်ကို စောင့်မလိမ့်မည်။
7Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom; Yea, with all thy getting get understanding.
7ပညာသည် အမြတ်ဆုံးသောအရာဖြစ်၏။ ပညာကိုဆည်းဖူးလော့။ ဆည်းဖူးသမျှသောဥစ္စာတို့တွင် ဥာဏ်ကိုဆည်းဖူးလော့။
8Exalt her, and she will promote thee; She will bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her.
8သူ့ကိုအမြတ်ထားလော့။ သူသည် သင့်ကို ချီးမြှောက်လိမ့်မည်။ သူ့ကိုဘက်ယမ်းလျှင်၊ ဂုဏ်အသရေ ကို ပေးလိမ့်မည်။
9She will give to thy head a chaplet of grace; A crown of beauty will she deliver to thee.
9သင်၏ခေါင်းကို တင့်တယ်သောဦးရစ်နှင့် ပတ်ရစ်၍၊ ဘုန်းကြီးသောသရဖူကို အပ်နှံလိမ့်မည်။
10Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; And the years of thy life shall be many.
10ငါ့သား၊ ငါ့စကားကိုနားထောင်နာယူလော့။ သို့ပြုလျှင်၊ သင့်အသက် နှစ်ပေါင်းများလိမ့်မည်။
11I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in paths of uprightness.
11ပညာလမ်းကိုငါပြသ၍၊ မှန်သောလမ်းခရီးတို့၌ သင့်ကိုငါပို့ဆောင်၏။
12When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; And if thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
12ရှောက်သွားလျှင် ကျဉ်းမြောင်းရာသို့မရောက်၊ ပြေးသောအခါ တိုက်မိ၍မလဲရ။
13Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: Keep her; for she is thy life.
13ဥပဒေသကိုကိုင်ဆွဲလော့။ မလွှတ်နှင့်။ စောင့်ထား လော့။ အသက်ရှင်ခြင်း၏အကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
14Enter not into the path of the wicked, And walk not in the way of evil men.
14အဓမ္မလူတို့ လမ်းထဲသို့မဝင်နှင့်။ ဆိုးယုတ် သောသူတို့နှင့်အတူ မလိုက်နှင့်။
15Avoid it, pass not by it; Turn from it, and pass on.
15သူတို့လမ်းကိုကြဉ်ရှောင်လော့။ လိုက်မသွားနှင့်။ လွှဲ၍သွားလော့။
16For they sleep not, except they do evil; And their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
16သူတို့သည်သူတပါး၌ အပြစ်မပြုရလျှင် မအိပ် တတ်။ တစုံတယောက်သော သူကိုမလဲစေလျှင် အိပ်၍ မပျော်တတ်။
17For they eat the bread of wickedness, And drink the wine of violence.
17ဒုစရိုက်နှင့်ဆိုင်သောမုန့်ကိုစား၍ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်း နှင့်ဆိုင်သော စပျစ်ရည်ကို သောက်တတ်ကြ၏။
18But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, That shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
18ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူတို့၏လမ်းသည် တက်သော အာရုဏ်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ နေထွက်သည်တိုင်အောင် တိုးပွါး ထွန်းလင်းတတ်၏။
19The way of the wicked is as darkness: They know not at what they stumble.
19မတရားသောသူတို့၏လမ်းမူကား၊ မှောင်မိုက် ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍၊ သူတို့သည် လဲသောအခါ၊ အဘယ်အရာကို တိုက်မိသည်ဟု မသိရကြ။
20My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.
20ငါ့သား၊ ငါ့စကားကိုနားထောင်လော့။ ငါ ဟောပြောချက်တို့ကို နားသွင်းလော့။
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thy heart.
21သင့်မျက်မှောက်မှ မကွာစေနှင့်။ နှလုံးတွင်း၌ စောင့်ထားလော့။
22For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.
22အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ထိုတရားစကားကို တွေ့ရ သောသူတို့သည် အသက်ရှင်ခြင်း၊ တကိုယ်လုံးကျန်းမာ ခြင်းအကြောင်းကို တွေ့ရပြီ။
23Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.
23နှလုံးသည်အသက်၏အခြေအမြစ် ဖြစ်သော ကြောင့်၊ သင်၏နှလုံးကို အထူးသဖြင့်စောင့်ရှောက်လော့။
24Put away from thee a wayward mouth, And perverse lips put far from thee.
24ကောက်သောစကားတို့ကို၎င်း၊ ငြင်းဆန်တတ် သော နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့ကို၎င်း ဝေးစွာ ပယ်ရှောင်လော့။
25Let thine eyes look right on, And let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
25သင်၏မျက်စိသည် ရှေ့ရှုကြည့်၍၊ မျက်ခမ်းတို့ သည် တည့်တည့်အာရုံပြုစေလော့။
26Make level the path of thy feet, And let all thy ways be established.
26သင်သွားရာလမ်းကို စူးစမ်း၍၊ သွားလေ ရာရာ၌ တည်ကြည်ခြင်းရှိစေလော့။
27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: Remove thy foot from evil.
27လက်ျာဘက်၊လက်ဝဲဘက်သို့ မတိမ်းမလွှဲနှင့်။ ဒုစရိုက်ပြုရာ လမ်းကိုရှောင်လော့။
