1Come, and let us return unto Jehovah; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
1“आऊ, हामी परमप्रभुतिर फर्कौ किनभने उहाँले हामीलाई घायल पार्नु भएकोछ र उहाँले नै हामीलाई निको पार्नुहुनेछ। उहाँले चोट पार्नु भएकोछ, र उहाँले नै हामीलाई मलहम पट्टी बाँध्नु हुनेछ।
2After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before him.
2दुई दिनपछि उहाँले हामीलाई पुनर्जीवित पार्नु हुनेछ अनि तेस्रो दिन उहाँले हामीलाई माथि उठाउनु हुनेछ। हामी उहाँकै अघि जिउँदो हुनेछौं।
3And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.
3आऊ, हामी परमप्रभुलाई चिनौं, हामी परमप्रभुलाई चिन्ने प्रयन्त गरिरहौं। उहाँको आगमन प्रभात झैं निश्चय छ। उहाँ हामीकहाँ जमीनलाई भिजाउने आखिरी वर्षा झैं आउनु हुनेछ।”
4O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth early away.
4“ए एप्रैम, म तिमीलाई के गरूँ? ए यहूदा म तिमीलाई के गरूँ? किनकि तेरो प्रेम बिहानको कुइरो जस्तै र बिलिने शीत जस्तै छ।
5Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are [as] the light that goeth forth.
5यसैकारण मैले तिनीहरूमाथि अगमवक्ताद्वारा बञ्चरो चलाएकोछु। मैले तिनीहरूलाई मेरो मुखको वचनद्वारा घात गरेकोछु। मेरो न्यायहरू ज्योति झैं प्रकट हुनेछन।
6For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings.
6किनभने म अमर प्रेम चाहन्छु बलिदान होइन अनि म चाहन्छु मानिसहरूले बल्दै गरेको बलि ल्याउनु भन्दा परमेश्वरलाई बेशी जानुन्।
7But they like Adam have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
7तर तिनीहरूले ता आदमले जस्तै करार भङ्ग गरे। त्यसैमा तिनीहरूले मेरो विरूद्धमा विश्वासघात व्यवहार देखाए।
8Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity; it is stained with blood.
8गिलाद अधर्मीहरूको शहर हो। त्यो रगतले भरिएको छ।
9And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way toward Shechem; yea, they have committed lewdness.
9जसरी डाँकूहरूले मानिसलाई ढुकिबस्छन त्यसरीनै पूजाहरीहरूले गट्ठा बाँधेका छन्। तिनीहरूले शकेम जाने बाटोमा हत्या गर्दछन्। निश्चय तिनीहरूले महा-अपराध गरेकाछन्।
10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing: there whoredom is [found] in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
10इस्राएलको कुलमा मैले घिनलाग्दो कुरो देखेको छु, एप्रैमको वेश्यावृत्ति त्यहाँ छ। इस्राएल अशुद्ध भएको छ।
11Also, O Judah, there is a harvest appointed for thee, when I bring back the captivity of my people.
11ए यहूदा तिम्रा निम्ति पनि कटनीको समय तोकिएको छ। त्यो हुनेछ जब म मेरो प्रजाको सुदिन फर्काउनेछु।”
