1Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know him see his days?
1“यो यस्तो कि सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वरबाट केही पनि लुकेको हुँदैन, तर को आँउदैछ भनेर उनका अनुयायीहरूलाई थाहा हुँदैन।
2There are that remove the landmarks; They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
2“मानिसहरूले आफ्नो जमीन बढाउन सीमाना सार्छन् अनि अर्काको बगाल चोरेर टाढा र्खकमा चराउँछन्।
3They drive away the ass of the fatherless; They take the widow's ox for a pledge.
3तिनीहरूले टुहुरा-टुहुरी नानीहरूको गधा चोर्छन। जबसम्म उसले ऋण र्तिन सक्तिन तिनीहरूले विधवाको गाई खोसेर लैजान्छ।
4They turn the needy out of the way: The poor of the earth all hide themselves.
4तिनीहरूले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई घरविहीन पार्छन्। तिनीहरूले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई एक ठाउँबाट अर्को ठाँउ घुमिहिडन वाध्य गराउछन्। सबै गरीब मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूबाट लुक्ने बनाउँछन्।
5Behold, as wild asses in the desert They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; The wilderness [yieldeth] them bread for their children.
5गरीब मानिसहरू जङ्गली गधाहरू जस्तै आहारको खोजीमा मरूभूमिमा घुमिरहेका छन। भोजनको खोजीमा तिनीहरू विहानै उठ्छन् अनि आफ्ना नानीहरूको भोजनको लागि अँध्यारो नहुञ्जेलसम्म काम गर्छन्।
6They cut their provender in the field; And they glean the vintage of the wicked.
6गरीब मानिसहरू रात अबेरसम्म खेतमा पराल काटिरहन्छन् अनि खेतमा धनी मानिसहरूको लागि दाख टिपिरहन्छन्।
7They lie all night naked without clothing, And have no covering in the cold.
7गरीब मानिसहरू ओढ्ने लुगाहरू नभएकोले जाडोको रातमा पनि नाङ्गै सुत्नु पर्छ। जाडोबाट जोगिंन तिनीहरूसित केही हुँदैन्।
8They are wet with the showers of the mountains, And embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
8तिनीहरू पर्वतहरूमा वर्षाले निथ्रुक्क भिज्छन्। चट्टानहरूको ओडारमा लुक्नु बाहेक तिनीहरूको जाडोदेखि जोगीन कुनै उपाए छैन।
9There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, And take a pledge of the poor;
9खराब मानिसहरूले बाबु नभएका नानीहरूलाई आमाबाट खोसेर लान्छन। तिनीहरूले गरीबका नानीहरूलाई ऋणको बन्धक राख्न लैजान्छन्।
10[So that] they go about naked without clothing, And being hungry they carry the sheaves.
10गरीब मानिसहरूसँग लगाउने पोषाकहरू छैन। यसैले तिनीहरू नाङ्गै छन्। तिनीहरूले अन्नका भारीहरू दुष्ट मानिसहरूका लागि बोक्छन् तर तिनीहरू भने सँधै भोको हुन्छन्।
11They make oil within the walls of these men; They tread [their] winepresses, and suffer thirst.
11गरीब मानिसहरूले भद्रक्षको तेल निचोरेर निकाल्छन्। मद्य बनाउनका लागि तिनीहरूले दाखहरू पेल्छन। तर तिनीहरूसँग पिउने पदार्थ केही हुँदैन
12From out of the populous city men groan, And the soul of the wounded crieth out: Yet God regardeth not the folly.
12शहरमा तिमीहरूले मर्न लागेका मानिसहरूको कोलाहल सुन्न सक्छौ। ती पीडित मानिसहरू गुहार माँग्दै चिच्याउछन्। तर परमेश्वरले सुन्नुहुन्न।
13These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.
13कतिपय मानिसहरूले प्रकाशको विरूद्ध विद्रोह गर्छन। तिनीहरू जान्दैनन् परमेश्वर के चाहनुहुन्छ। तिनीहरू परमेश्वरले चाहेको बाटोमा जीउन चाहँदैनन्।
14The murderer riseth with the light; He killeth the poor and needy; And in the night he is as a thief.
14हत्यारा बिहान छिट्टै उठ्दछ, अनि गरीबहरूलाई मार्छ, असहाय मानिसहरूलाई मार्छ। अनि रातमा त्यो चोर हुन्छ।
15The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, Saying, No eye shall see me: And he disguiseth his face.
15एक व्यभिचारीले रातको प्रतीक्षा गर्छ। उसले सोच्छ, ‘कसैले पनि मलाई देख्न सक्तैन।’ तरै पनि, उसले आफ्नो अनुहार छोप्छ।
16In the dark they dig through houses: They shut themselves up in the day-time; They know not the light.
16जब अन्धकार हुन्छ, दुष्ट मानिसहरू बाहिर निस्कन्छन अनि मानिसहरूको घरहरू फोर्छन्। तर दिनको उज्यालोमा तिनीहरूले स्वयंलाई आफ्नो घरमा बन्द गरेर राख्दछ अनि प्रकाशलाई मन पराउँदैन।
17For the morning is to all of them as thick darkness; For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
17ती दुष्ट मानिसहरूका लागि अँध्यारो बिहान जस्तै हो। हो, तिनीहरू डरलाग्दो अन्धयारो रात मन पराउँछन्।
18Swiftly they [pass away] upon the face of the waters; Their portion is cursed in the earth: They turn not into the way of the vineyards.
18तर दुष्ट मानिसहरू त्यसरी लगिन्छ जसरी बाढीले समानहरू बगाएर लान्छन्। तिनीहरूको भूमि श्रापित रहन्छन, यसकारण तिनीहरूले खेतबाट दाख थुपार्न सक्तैनन।
19Drought and heat consume the snow waters: [So doth] Sheol [those that] have sinned.
19हिउँदको हिउँबाट आउनेछ तिनीहरूको पानी गरम सूखा मौसमले सुकाइदिन्छ। यसर्थ ती पापीहरू चिहानमा लागिन्छन्।
20The womb shall forget him; The worm shall feed sweetly on him; He shall be no more remembered; And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.
20त्यो दुष्ट मानिस मर्छ र उसकै आमाले पनि उसलाई बिर्सिन्छे। उसको प्रियसी कीराहरू हुन्छन् जसले शरीर खान्छन् मानिसहरूले उसलाई सम्झने छैनन। त्यो दुष्ट मानिस कुँहेको लट्ठी जस्तै भाँचिएको छ।
21He devoureth the barren that beareth not, And doeth not good to the widow.
21दुष्ट मानिसहरूले नानी जन्माउन नसक्ने स्त्रीहरूलाई कष्ट दिन्छन। अनि लोग्ने मरेका स्त्रीहरूलाई तिनीहरूले सहयोग गर्दैनन्।
22Yet [God] preserveth the mighty by his power: He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.
22दुष्ट मानिसहरूले शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई नाश गर्न आफ्ना शक्ति चलाउँछन्। दुष्ट मानिसहरू शक्तिशाली हुनसक्लान् तर तिनीहरू आफ्नै जीवनमा पक्का हुन सक्तैनन्।
23[God] giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon; And his eyes are upon their ways.
23दुष्ट मानिसहरूले क्षणिक समयको लागि आफूलाई सुरक्षित पार्न सक्छन्। उसले आफैमाथि विश्वासमा राख्छ अनि आफ्नो बाटो होशियारी साथ हेर्छन्।
24They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone; Yea, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
24नराम्रा मानिसहरू केही क्षणको लागि सफल हुन सक्लान, तर तिनीहरू पछि खतम हुनेछन। तिनीहरू बाली काटे जस्तै काटिन्छन्।
25And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, And make my speech nothing worth?
25म कसम खान्छु कि ती कुराहरू सत्य हुन। कसले प्रमाण गर्ला मैले ढाँटे भनेर? कसले देखाउन सक्छ म गल्ती छु भनेर?”
