1And Job again took up his parable, and said,
1अय्यूबले क्रमशः आफ्नो कथा भनिरहेछ। अय्यूबले भन्योः
2Oh that I were as in the months of old, As in the days when God watched over me;
2“केही महीना अघि वितेको जीवन म चाहन्छु। त्यस समयमा परमेश्वरले ममाथि नजर राख्नु भयो अनि मेरो हेरचाह गर्नुभयो।
3When his lamp shined upon my head, And by his light I walked through darkness;
3त्यसबेला, परमेश्वरको प्रकाश ममाथि छायो ताकि म अन्धकारमा हिंड्न सक्थें। परमेश्वरले मलाई ठीक बाँच्ने बाटो देखाई दिनु भयो।
4As I was in the ripeness of my days, When the friendship of God was upon my tent;
4म ती दिनहरूको कामना गर्दछु जब म सफल थिएँ, अनि परमेश्वर मेरो हितैषी मित्र हुनुहुन्थ्यो। ती दिनहरूमा परमेश्वरले मेरो घरलाई आशिष दिनुभयो।
5When the Almighty was yet with me, And my children were about me;
5म ती दिनहरूको कामना गर्छु जब सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर मसँग हुनुहुन्थ्यो अनि मेरा बाल-बच्चाहरू मेरै वरिपरि थिए।
6When my steps were washed with butter, And the rock poured me out streams of oil!
6जीवन त्यतिबेला अत्यन्तै राम्रो थियो। म मेरो खुट्टाहरू नौनीले धुन्थें, अनि मसँग प्रशस्त दामी तेलहरू थिए।
7When I went forth to the gate unto the city, When I prepared my seat in the street,
7त्यस्ता दिनहरू थिए जब म शहरको द्वारमा जान्थें अनि शहरका मुखियाहरूसँग सभा-गृहमा बस्दथें।
8The young men saw me and hid themselves, And the aged rose up and stood;
8सारा मानिसहरूले मलाई त्यहाँ आदर गर्दथे युवाहरूले म आउँदै गरेको देख्दा पाइला सारेर मलाई बाटो छोडिदिन्थे। आफ्नो श्रद्धा म प्रति प्रर्दशन गर्नलाई वृद्ध मानिसहरू बसेको ठाउँबाट उठ्दथे।
9The princes refrained from talking, And laid their hand on their mouth;
9जनसमूहका नेताहरू बोल्न बन्द गर्दथे अनि हातहरू मुखमा राखेर अन्य मानिसहरूलाई चुपचाप बस्न लगाउँथे।
10The voice of the nobles was hushed, And their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
10प्रमुख नेताहरू पनि बोल्दा आफ्ना आवाजहरू सानो पार्दथे। हो, मानौ तिनीहरूका जिब्रोहरू मुखको तालुमा टाँसिएको झैं भान हुन्थ्यो।
11For when the ear heard [me], then it blessed me; And when the eye saw [me], it gave witness unto me:
11मैले के भन्दैछु ती कुराहरू मानिसहरूले ध्यान दिएर सुन्थे, अनि मेरो बारेमा असल कुराहरू गर्थे। मैले गरेका कुराहरूलाई तिनीहरू विचार्थे अनि तिनीहरूले मेरो प्रशंसा गर्थे।
12Because I delivered the poor that cried, The fatherless also, that had none to help him.
12किन? किनभने जब गरीब मानिसले गुहारथ्यो, म सघाउथें। अनि माता-पिता नभएका नानीहरू र रक्षाहीनहरूको म हेरचाह गर्थें।
13The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me; And I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
13मर्दै गरेका मानिसले मलाई आशीर्वाद दिन्थे दुःख पाएका विधवाहरूलाई म सहयोग गर्थें।
14I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: My justice was as a robe and a diadem.
14धार्मिकता मेरो लागि पोषाक थियो, निष्पक्षता मेरो लुगा र फेटा थियो।
15I was eyes to the blind, And feet was I to the lame.
15म अन्धा मानिसहरूको लागि आँखा थिएँ, तिनीहरू जहाँ जान रूचाउथें म त्यतै डोराउँथें। म लङ्गडो मानिसहरूका लागि खुट्टा थिएँ, तिनीहरू जहाँ चाहन्छन् त्यतै बोकेर लान्थें।
16I was a father to the needy: And the cause of him that I knew not I searched out.
16म गरीबहरूको लागि पिता समान थिएँ। यदि मैले नजानेको विषयका कुनै मामला मेरो सामु आए मैले त्यस मामलाको विषयमा विस्तृत रूपमा खोजी गर्ने गर्थें।
17And I brake the jaws of the unrighteous, And plucked the prey out of his teeth.
17म दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो शक्ति दुरउपयोग गर्न रोक्थें अनि म उसलाई गल्ती तरीकाले जे लिने चेष्टा गरेको हुन्थ्यो त्यो फर्काउन लगाउथें।
18Then I said, I shall die in my nest, And I shall multiply my days as the sand:
18मेरै परिवार भित्र बुढो हुँदै म धेरै लामो बाँचुला भनेर सधैं सोच्दथें,
19My root is spread out to the waters, And the dew lieth all night upon my branch;
19म सोच्थें म स्वास्थ्य र शक्तिशाली हौं स्वास्थ्य पालुवा जस्तै प्रशस्त पानी भएको जराहरू जस्तै अनि शीतले भिजेका हाँगाहरू जस्तो।
20My glory is fresh in me, And my bow is renewed in my hand.
20प्रत्येक नयाँ दिन उज्जवल नयाँ उत्तेजनापूर्ण सम्भावनाहरू हुने होलान भनी म सोच्थें।
21Unto me men gave ear, and waited, And kept silence for my counsel.
21बितेका दिनहरूमा मानिसहरूले मेरो कुरामा ध्यान दिन्थे। तिनीहरू मेरो सल्लाह सुन्दा चुपचाप रहन्थे। बोलिसके पछि मेरो कुरा सुन्नेहरूमा कसैको केही बोल्न रहँदैनथ्यो।
22After my words they spake not again; And my speech distilled upon them.
22मैले बोल्दा मानिसहरूले मेरो कुरालाई ध्यान दिइरहेका हुन्थे, तिनीहरू अरू केही भन्ने थिएनन्। मेरो शब्दहरू तिनीहरूका कानहरूमा मन्द गतिमा पर्थे।
23And they waited for me as for the rain; And they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.
23मेरो प्रवचनको निम्ति मानिसहरू मलाई पर्खन्थे, मानौ तिनीहरूले वर्षालाई पर्खिरहेछन्। तिनीहरूले मेरो शब्दहरू पिउँथे मानौ तिनीहरू बसन्तको बेलामा वर्षाको पानी थियो।
24I smiled on them, when they had no confidence; And the light of my countenance they cast not down.
24जब म ती मानसिहरूसित हाँसे तिनीहहरूले यो विश्वास गर्न सकेनन्। मेरो आनन्दित अनुहारले उनीहरूलाई हतोत्साही गरेन।
25I chose out their way, and sat [as] chief, And dwelt as a king in the army, As one that comforteth the mourners.
25म तिनीहरूकै मुखिया भए तापनि म ती मानिसहरूसँग रहन चाहन्थें। दुःखी मानिसहरूलाई सान्तवना दिंदै म तिनीहरूका छाउनीका समूहमा राजा झैं थिएँ।
