¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Jehovah; And in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

¹हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंको बलले राजालाई खुशी पार्छ। जब तपाईं उसलाई बचाउनु हुन्छ ऊ अति नै खुशी हुन्छ।

²Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah

²तपाईंले राजालाई ती थोकहरू दिनु भयो जुन उनले चाहेका थिए। हे परमप्रभु, राजाले तपाईंसँग केही थोकहरू मागे, र मागेका थोकहरू सबै तपाईंले दिनुभयो।

³For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.

³हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले साँच्ची नै राजालाई आशीर्वाद दिनु भयो। तपाईंले सुनको मुकुट उहाँको शिरमा लगाई दिनु भयो।

⁴He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.

⁴हे परमेश्वर, राजाले जीवन-दान तपाईंसित मागे र तपाईंले उनलाई त्यही दिनुभयो। तपाईंले उनलाई दीर्घायु प्रदान गर्नुभयो, जुन सदा सर्वदाको निम्ति जारी रहनेछ।

⁵His glory is great in thy salvation: Honor and majesty dost thou lay upon him.

⁵तपाईंले जित्नका लागि राजालाई अगुवाइ गर्नुभयो अनि उनलाई महान् महिमा प्रदान गर्नुभयो। तपाईंले उसलाई इज्जत र आदर दिनुभयो।

⁶For thou makest him most blessed for ever: Thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence.

⁶हे परमेश्वर, तपाईंले साँच्ची नै राजालाई सदा सर्वदाको निम्ति आशीर्वाद दिनुभयो। जब राजाले तपाईंको मुहार हेर्नु हुन्छ अनि त्यसले उहाँलाई आनन्दमय पार्दछ।

⁷For the king trusteth in Jehovah; And through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

⁷राजाले परमप्रभुमाथि भरोसा राख्छ। सर्वोच्च परमेश्वरको दयाबाट उनले कहिल्यै उदास हुनु पर्दैन।

⁸Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee.

⁸हे परमेश्वर, तपाईंले आफ्ना शत्रुहरूलाई तपाईं कतिको शक्तिशाली हुनुहुन्छ देखाउनु हुनेछ। जसले तपाईंमाथि हेय-दृष्टि राख्छन्। तपाईंको शक्तिले ती मानिसहरूलाई परास्त गर्छ।

⁹Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

⁹हे परमप्रभु, तपाईं जब राजासँग हुनुहुन्छ, उनी तातो चूल्हा जस्तो हुन्छन्। जसले प्रत्येक कुरा दिंदछन्। आफ्नो क्रोधको ज्वालामा सबै शत्रुहरूलाई नष्ट पार्छ।

¹⁰Their fruit wilt thou destroy from the earth, And their seed from among the children of men.

¹⁰शत्रुहरूका सन्तानहरू समेत नष्ट भए। तिनीहरू यस पृथ्वीबाट गए।

¹¹For they intended evil against thee; They conceived a device which they are not able to perform.

¹¹किन? किनभने ती मानिसहरूले तपाईंको विरूद्ध नराम्रा योजनाहरू तयार गरे, परमप्रभु। तिनीहरूले अधर्मका कामहरू गर्ने योजना गरे तर तिनीहरू सफल भएनन्।

¹²For thou wilt make them turn their back; Thou wilt make ready with thy bowstrings against their face.

¹²हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले ती मानिसहरूलाई आफ्ना दास बनाउनु भयो। तपाईंले तिनीहरूलाई डोरीले सँगै बाँध्नु भयो। तपाईंले तिनीहरूका घाँटीहरू वरिपरि डोरीहरू बाँध्नु भयो तिनीहरूलाई जस्तै दासहरू शिर झुकाएर बस्ने पार्नु भयो।

¹³Be thou exalted, O Jehovah, in thy strength: So will we sing and praise thy power.

¹³हे परमप्रभु, हामी तपाईंको प्रशंसा गर्छौ! हामी तपाईंको महा शक्तिको विषयमा वाद्य-वादनसहित गीतहरू गाउने छौ।
