¹Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? or need we, as do some, epistles of commendation to you or from you?

¹Koumau kigenhoih ka pan nawn dekta ua hia? Ahihkeileh, na kiang ua piak ding hiam aw, na kiang ua kipan hiam genhoihna lai, mi khenkhat adia a kiphamoh bangin, kou din a kiphamoh sam dia hia?

²Ye are our epistle, written in our hearts, known and read of all men;

²Noute ka lai uh, na lungtang ua gelh, mi tengteng theih leh sim na hi uhi;

³being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables [that are] hearts of flesh.

³Kris lai, kou hon gelh sak laituia gelh hilou, Pathian hing Kha gelh hijaw, suangpeka gelh hilou, sa lungtang peka gelh hijaw na hi uh chih chiantakin na taklangta ngalua.

⁴And such confidence have we through Christ to God-ward:

⁴Huan, Pathian lamah huchibang muanna Kris vangin ka nei uhi;

⁵not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;

⁵Bangpeuh koumau akipana pawta sim dingin koumau kiain ka chin uh ka chi kei ua; ka chin theihna uh tuh Pathian kianga kipan ahi jaw.

⁶who also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

⁶Amahmahin thukhun thak nasemte hi dingin honchingsaka; a lai thu gelh lel nasemte ding hilouin, a Kha nasemte din ahi jaw hi; lai thu gelh lelin jaw ahihlum nak ngala, Khain bel ahihhing nak ahi.

⁷But if the ministration of death, written, [and] engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which [glory] was passing away:

⁷Mosi mel a vak jiakin Israel taten a mel a en gige theikei ua, huai thupina a mang hiaihiai a; sihna nasepna suanga laimal gelh bawn, huchi tela thupi-a a tun leh,

⁸how shall not rather the ministration of the spirit be with glory?

⁸Kha nasepna pen bangchi pheta thupiin a tung de aw?

⁹For if the ministration of condemnation hath glory, much rather doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

⁹Siamlouh tansakna nasepna bawn a thupi leh, diktatna nasepna thupi lamah a thupi zo mahmah ding ahi.

¹⁰For verily that which hath been made glorious hath not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasseth.

¹⁰Hihthupia omsain hiaiah jaw thupina himhim a neita ngal keia, thupina thupijawin a khuh tak jiakin.

¹¹For if that which passeth away [was] with glory, much more that which remaineth [is] in glory.

¹¹Mangta hiaihiai bawn thupia a tun leh, om gige ding tuh thupia tuamin om zo mahmah ding ahi.

¹²Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,

¹²Huan, huchi bang lametna ka neih jiakun hangtaka pan ngamna ka nei uhi,

¹³and [are] not as Moses, [who] put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel should not look stedfastly on the end of that which was passing away:

¹³Mosi hihbangin ka hih keiua, aman jaw thupina mangta hiaihiai man tawpna Israel taten a et gige louhna ding un a mai maikhuhnain a khuha;

¹⁴but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed [to them] that it is done away in Christ.

¹⁴A lungsim ubel hihkhauhin a oma; tuni tanphain thukhun lui a sim un khuhna ngeina tuh hawk louhin a om gige ngala, huai khuhna tuh Kris ah hihmangin a omta hi.

¹⁵But unto this day, whensoever Moses is read, a veil lieth upon their heart.

¹⁶But whensoever it shall turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

¹⁶Himahleh, a lungtang uh Toupa lama a ngat peuh chiangun khuhna tuh lakmang a hita ding hi.

¹⁷Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, [there] is liberty.

¹⁸But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.
