¹In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,

¹В начале царствования Иоакима, сына Иосии, царя Иудейского, было слово сие к Иеремии от Господа:

²Thus saith Jehovah to me: Make thee bonds and bars, and put them upon thy neck;

²так сказал мне Господь: сделай себе узы и ярмо и возложи их себе на выю;

³and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers that come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

³и пошли такие же к царю Идумейскому, и к царю Моавитскому, и к царю сыновей Аммоновых, и к царю Тира, и к царю Сидона, через послов, пришедших в Иерусалим к Седекии, царю Иудейскому;

⁴and give them a charge unto their masters, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Thus shall ye say unto your masters:

⁴и накажи им сказать государям их: так говорит Господь Саваоф, Бог Израилев: так скажите государям вашим:

⁵I have made the earth, the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it unto whom it seemeth right unto me.

⁵Я сотворил землю, человека и животных, которые на лице земли, великим могуществом Моим и простертою мышцею Моею, и отдал ее, кому Мне благоугодно было.

⁶And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field also have I given him to serve him.

⁶И ныне Я отдаю все земли сии в руку Навуходоносора, царя Вавилонского, раба Моего, и даже зверей полевых отдаю ему на служение.

⁷And all the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondman.

⁷И все народы будут служить ему и сыну его и сыну сына его, доколе не придет время и его земле и ему самому; и будут служить ему народы многие и цари великие.

⁸And it shall come to pass, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith Jehovah, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

⁸И если какой народ и царство не захочет служить ему, Навуходоносору, царю Вавилонскому, и не подклонит выи своей под ярмо царя Вавилонского, –этот народ Я накажу мечом, голодом и моровою язвою, говорит Господь, доколе не истреблю их рукою его.

⁹But as for you, hearken ye not to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

⁹И вы не слушайте своих пророков и своих гадателей, и своих сновидцев, и своих волшебников, и своих звездочетов, которые говорят вам: „не будете служить царю Вавилонскому".

¹⁰for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

¹⁰Ибо они пророчествуют вам ложь, чтобы удалить вас из земли вашей, и чтобы Я изгнал вас и вы погибли.

¹¹But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that [nation] will I let remain in their own land, saith Jehovah; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

¹¹Народ же, который подклонит выю свою под ярмо царя Вавилонского и станет служить ему, Я оставлю на земле своей, говорит Господь, и он будет возделывать ее и жить на ней.

¹²And I spake to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

¹²И Седекии, царю Иудейскому, я говорил всеми сими словами и сказал: подклоните выю свою под ярмо царя Вавилонского и служите ему и народу его, и будете живы.

¹³Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

¹³Зачем умирать тебе и народу твоему от меча, голода и моровой язвы, как изрек Господь о том народе, который не будет служить царю Вавилонскому?

¹⁴And hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.

¹⁴И не слушайте слов пророков, которые говорят вам: „не будете служить царю Вавилонскому"; ибо они пророчествуют вам ложь.

¹⁵For I have not sent them, saith Jehovah, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that ye may perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

¹⁵Я не посылал их, говорит Господь; и они ложно пророчествуют именем Моим, чтоб Я изгнал вас и чтобы вы погибли, – вы и пророки ваши, пророчествующие вам.

¹⁶Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Jehovah's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie unto you.

¹⁶И священникам и всему народу сему я говорил: так говорит Господь: не слушайте слов пророков ваших, которые пророчествуют вам и говорят: „вот, скоро возвращены будут из Вавилона сосуды дома Господня"; ибо онипророчествуют вам ложь.

¹⁷Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city become a desolation?

¹⁷Не слушайте их, служите царю Вавилонскому и живите; зачем доводитьгород сей до опустошения?

¹⁸But if they be prophets, and if the word of Jehovah be with them, let them now make intercession to Jehovah of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

¹⁸А если они пророки, и если у них есть слово Господне, то пусть ходатайствуют пред Господом Саваофом, чтобы сосуды, остающиеся в доме Господнем и в доме царя Иудейского и вИерусалиме, не перешли в Вавилон.

¹⁹For thus saith Jehovah of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,

¹⁹Ибо так говорит Господь Саваоф о столбах и о медном море и о подножиях и опрочих вещах, оставшихся в этом городе,

²⁰which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

²⁰которых Навуходоносор, царь Вавилонский, не взял, когда Иехонию, сына Иоакима, царя Иудейского, и всех знатных Иудеев и Иерусалимлян вывел из Иерусалима в Вавилон,

²¹yea, thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:

²¹ибо так говорит Господь Саваоф, Бог Израилев, о сосудах, оставшихся в доме Господнем и в доме царя Иудейского и в Иерусалиме:

²²They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, saith Jehovah; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

²²они будут отнесены в Вавилон и там останутся до того дня, когда Я посещу их, говорит Господь, и выведу их и возвращу их на место сие.
