1And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.
1Anjelovi sboru v Sardách napíš: Toto hovorí ten, ktorý má tých sedem duchov Božích a sedem hviezd: Znám tvoje skutky, že máš meno, že žiješ, a si mŕtvy.
2Be thou watchful, and establish the things that remain, which were ready to die: for I have found no works of thine perfected before my God.
2Bdej a upevňuj i všetko ostatné, čo ide zomrieť. Lebo som nenašiel tvojich skutkov úplných pred svojím Bohom.
3Remember therefore how thou hast received and didst hear; and keep [it], and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
3Pamätaj tedy, jako si prijal a počul a ostríhaj a učiň pokánie. Keď tedy nebudeš bdieť, prijdem na teba jako zlodej, a nezvieš, v ktorú hodinu prijdem na teba.
4But thou hast a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments: and they shall walk with me in white; for they are worthy.
4Ale máš i v Sardách niekoľko málo osôb, ktoré nepoškvrnily svojho rúcha, a budú sa prechádzať so mnou v bielom rúchu, pretože sú hodni.
5He that overcometh shall thus be arrayed in white garments; and I will in no wise blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
5Ten, kto víťazí, bude odiaty bielym rúchom, a nevytriem jeho mena z knihy života a vyznám jeho meno pred svojím Otcom i pred jeho anjelmi.
6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
6Kto má uši, nech počuje, čo Duch hovorí sborom!
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth:
7A anjelovi sboru vo Filadelfii napíš: Toto hovorí svätý, ten pravdivý, ktorý má kľúč Dávidov: ktorý otvára,, a nikto nezaviera, a zaviera, a nikto neotvára.
8I know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name.
8Znám tvoje skutky. Hľa, dal som pred tebou otvorené dvere, a nikto ich nemôže zavrieť, lebo máš malú moc a ostríhal si moje slovo a nezaprel si môjho mena.
9Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
9Hľa, dávam zo synagógy satanovej niektorých z tých, ktorí hovoria o sebe, že sú Židmi, a nie sú, ale luhajú: hľa spôsobím to, aby prišli a klaňali sa pred tvojimi nohami a poznali, že som si ťa ja zamiloval.
10Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of trial, that [hour] which is to come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
10Preto, že si ostríhal slovo mojej trpezlivosti, i ja budem teba ostríhať a vytrhnem ťa z hodiny pokušenia, ktorá prijde na celý svet zkúsiť tých, ktorí bývajú na zemi.
11I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.
11Hľa, prijdem rýchle. Drž to, čo máš, aby nikto nevzal tvojej koruny!
12He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name.
12Toho, kto víťazí, učiním stĺpom v chráme svojho Boha, a von nevyjde viacej nikdy, a napíšem na neho meno mesta svojho Boha, toho nového Jeruzalema, ktorý sostupuje z neba od môjho Boha, i svoje nové meno.
13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
13Kto má uši, nech počuje, čo Duch hovorí sborom!
14And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
14A anjelovi sboru Laodičanov napíš: Toto hovorí Ameň, ten verný a pravdivý svedok, počiatok stvorenia Božieho:
15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
15Znám tvoje skutky, že nie si ani studený ani horúci. Bárs by si bol studený alebo horúci!
16So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
16Takto, že si vlažný, ani studený ani horúci, vypľujem ťa zo svojich úst.
17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art the wretched one and miserable and poor and blind and naked:
17Lebo hovoríš: Som bohatý a zbohatnul som a nepotrebujem nikoho, a nevieš, že si ty biedny i mizerný na poľutovanie i chudobný i slepý i nahý.
18I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.
18Radím ti, aby si si kúpil odo mňa zlata prečisteného v ohni, aby si zbohatol, a biele rúcho, aby si sa odial, aby sa neukázala hanba tvojej nahoty, a kollýrium pomazať svoje oči, aby si videl.
19As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
19Ja všetkých, ktorých milujem, karhám a otcovsky trescem. Rozhorli sa tedy a učiň pokánie.
20Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
20Hľa, stojím pri dveriach a klepem. Keby niekto počul môj hlas a otvoril by dvere, vojdem k nemu a budem večerať s ním a on so mnou.
21He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne.
21Tomu, kto víťazí, dám sedieť so sebou na svojom tróne, jako som i ja zvíťazil a sedím so svojím Otcom na jeho tróne.
22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
