¹And I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.

¹Opät som pozdvihol svoje oči a videl som a hľa, nejaký muž, v ktorého ruke bolo merné lano.

²Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

²A povedal som: Kam ideš? A riekol mi: Zmerať Jeruzalem, aby som videl, aká veľká je jeho šírka a jaká jeho dĺžka.

³And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

³A hľa, anjel, ktorý hovoril so mnou, vychádzal, a iný anjel vychádzal oproti nemu

⁴and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, by reason of the multitude of men and cattle therein.

⁴a riekol mu: Bež, hovor tomuto mládencovi a povedz: Ako dediny bude neohradený bývať Jeruzalem pre množstvo ľudu a dobytka v ňom.

⁵For I, saith Jehovah, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.

⁵A ja mu budem, hovorí Hospodin, ohnivým múrom dookola a budem slávou v jeho strede.

⁶Ho, ho, flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah.

⁶Hej, hej, utečte zo zeme severa, hovorí Hospodin, lebo som vás rozostrel ako štyri nebeské vetry, hovorí Hospodin.

⁷Ho Zion, escape, thou that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

⁷Hej, Sione, utekaj a tak sa zachráň, ty, ktorý bývaš u dcéry Babylona!

⁸For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After glory hath he sent me unto the nations which plundered you; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

⁸Lebo takto hovorí Hospodin Zástupov: Po sláve ma poslal k národom, ktoré vás olupovaly; lebo ten, kto sa vás dotýka, dotýka sa zrenice jeho oka.

⁹For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those that served them; and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me.

⁹Lebo hľa, budem mávať svojou rukou nad nimi, a budú korisťou svojim sluhom, a tak zviete, že Hospodin Zástupov ma poslal.

¹⁰Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah.

¹⁰Prespevuj a raduj sa, dcéro Siona, lebo hľa prijdem a budem bývať v tvojom strede, hovorí Hospodin.

¹¹And many nations shall join themselves to Jehovah in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me unto thee.

¹¹A mnohé národy sa pripoja k Hospodinovi toho dňa a budú mi ľudom, a budem bývať v tvojom strede, a zvieš, že Hospodin Zástupov ma poslal k tebe.

¹²And Jehovah shall inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

¹²A Hospodin zdedí Júdu jako svoj podiel na svätej zemi a zase si vyvolí Jeruzalem.

¹³Be silent, all flesh, before Jehovah; for he is waked up out of his holy habitation.

¹³Umĺkni, každé telo, pred tvárou Hospodinovou, lebo sa zobudil z príbytku svojej svätosti.
