¹And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

¹Potom sa navrátil anjel, ktorý to hovoril so mnou, a zobudil ma jako muža, ktorého zobudia z jeho spánku.

²And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

²A riekol mi: Čo vidíš? A ja som povedal: Vidím a hľa, svietnik, celý zo zlata, a jeho nádoba na olej na jeho vrchu a sedem jeho lámp na ňom a po siedmich trúbkach k lampám, ktoré sú na jeho vrchu.

³and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

³A dve olivy pri ňom, jedna z pravej strany nádoby a jedna na jej ľavej strane.

⁴And I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

⁴A odpovedal som a riekol anjelovi, ktorý hovoril so mnou, povediac: Čo znamenajú tieto veci, pane?

⁵Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

⁵Na to odpovedal anjel, ktorý hovoril so mnou, a riekol mi: Či nevieš, čo znamenajú tieto veci? A ja som povedal: Neviem, pane.

⁶Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.

⁶A odpovedal a riekol mi: Toto je slovo Hospodinovo k Zorobábelovi hovoriac: Nie silou ani mocou, ale mojím Duchom, hovorí Hospodin Zástupov.

⁷Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.

⁷Kým si ty, veľký vrchu, pred Zorobábelom? Rovinou! A vynesie von jeho náhlavný kameň so zvučným pokrikovaním: Milosť, milosť mu!

⁸Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

⁸A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

⁹The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.

⁹Ruky Zorobábelove založily tento dom a jeho ruky ho aj dokonajú. A tak zvieš, že Hospodin Zástupov ma poslal k vám.

¹⁰For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; [these are] the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

¹⁰Lebo kto bude pohŕdať dňom malých začiatkov? Ale radovať sa budú a uvidia kameň, olovnicu, v ruke Zorobábela týchto sedem. Sú to oči Hospodinove, ktoré chodia po celej zemi.

¹¹Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

¹¹A ja som mu odpovedal a riekol: Čo znamenajú tieto dve olivy na pravej strane svietnika a na jeho ľavej strane?

¹²And I answered the second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?

¹²A odpovedal som aj po druhé a riekol som mu: Čo tie dva klasy olív, ktoré sú tesne vedľa tých dvoch zlatých trubíc a ktoré vylievajú shora zo seba olej ako zlato?

¹³And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.

¹³Na to mi riekol a povedal: Či nevieš, čo znamenajú tie veci? A povedal som: Neviem, pane.

¹⁴Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

¹⁴Vtedy riekol: To sú dve deti oleja, ktoré stoja pred Pánom celej zeme.
