¹The burden of the word of Jehovah upon the land of Hadrach, and Damascus [shall be] its resting-place (for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward Jehovah);

¹Bremä slova Hospodinovho proti zemi Chadrach-u i proti Damašku, jeho odpočinku (Pre to, že oko človeka má zrieť k Hospodinovi aj oči všetkých pokolení Izraelových);

²and Hamath, also, which bordereth thereon; Tyre and Sidon, because they are very wise.

²ako aj proti Chamatu, ktorý hraničí s ním, proti Týru a Sidonu, lebo je veľmi múdry.

³And Tyre did build herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

³A Týrus si vystavil pevnosť, nahromadil striebra jako prachu a rýdzeho zlata jako blata ulíc.

⁴Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

⁴Hľa, Pán ho vyženie a porazí jeho silu na mori, a on sám bude strávený ohňom.

⁵Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also, and shall be sore pained; and Ekron, for her expectation shall be put to shame; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

⁵Uvidí to Aškalon a bude sa báť, i Gaza, a bude sa svíjať bolesťou, veľmi, aj Ekron, pretože zahanbí jeho nádej, a zahynie kráľ z Gazy, a Aškalon nebude obývaný.

⁶And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

⁶V Ašdóde bude bývať bastard, a tak vytnem pýchu Filištínov.

⁷And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also shall be a remnant for our God; and he shall be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

⁷A odstránim jeho krv z jeho úst a jeho hnusoby zpomedzi jeho zubov, a tak pozostane aj on nášmu Bohu a bude jako vojvoda v Judsku a Ekron ako Jebuzej.

⁸And I will encamp about my house against the army, that none pass through or return; and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

⁸A položím sa vôkol svojho domu táborom pre vojsko, aby nikto neprešiel cezeň ani sa nevrátil. A neprejde viacej po nich pohonič, lebo teraz som videl svojimi očima.

⁹Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

⁹Plesaj veľmi, dcéro Siona, pokrikuj radostne, dcéro Jeruzalema! Hľa, tvoj kráľ prijde k tebe, spravedlivý je a plný spasenia chudobný a jazdiaci na oslovi, na osľati, žrebcovi oslíc.

¹⁰And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

¹⁰A vyplienim voz z Efraima a koňa z Jeruzalema, a bude vyplienené aj vojenné lučište, a bude hovoriť pokoj národom. Jeho panstvo bude od mora až k moru a od Rieky až po konce zeme.

¹¹As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit wherein is no water.

¹¹Aj tebe, pre krv tvojej smluvy, prepustím tvojich väzňov z jamy, v ktorej niet vody.

¹²Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope: even to-day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.

¹²Navráťte sa do pevnosti, väzni nádeje! Aj dnes oznamujem: Dvojnásobne ti nahradím.

¹³For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.

¹³Lebo si napnem Júdu, naplním lučište Efraimom a zobudím tvojich synov, Sione, proti tvojim synom, Javane, a učiním ťa ako meč hrdinu.

¹⁴And Jehovah shall be seen over them; and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

¹⁴A Hospodin sa ukáže nad nimi, a jeho strela vyjde jako blesk, a Pán Hospodin bude trúbiť na trúbu a pojde jako víchrice juhu.

¹⁵Jehovah of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

¹⁵Hospodin Zástupov bude štítiť nad nimi, a strávia a zašliapu kamene praku, budú piť a lomoziť ako od vína a budú plní jako obetná čaša, jako uhly oltára.

¹⁶And Jehovah their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for [they shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land.

¹⁶A tak ich zachráni Hospodin, ich Bôh, toho dňa ako stádo svojho ľudu, pretože budú jako kamene koruny, ktoré sa budú ďaleko skvieť na jeho zemi.

¹⁷For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

¹⁷Lebo jaké bude jeho dobro a jaká jeho krása! Obilie mládencom a vínna šťava bude dodávať rozkvetu pannám.
