1For the law having a shadow of the good [things] to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.
1 Zama asariya kaŋ gonda hari hanney kaŋ ga kaa biya, amma manti cimi-cimi waney no, hal abada a sinda dabari ka borey kaŋ yaŋ ga maan toonandi, sargay dumi follonkey din do kaŋ i ga salle alwaati kulu, jiiri ka kaa jiiri.
1For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.
2Else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins.
2 Zama nda asariya ga borey toonandi sargayey din do, manti i ga fay d'i salleyaŋ? Zama sududukoy, waati kaŋ i hanan sorro folloŋ, i si ye ka fongu ngey zunubey taaley gaa.
2Or else wouldn’t they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?
3But in those [sacrifices] there is a remembrance made of sins year by year.
3 Amma sargay fey din ra i ga fongu zunubey jiiri ka kaa jiiri.
3But in those sacrifices there is a yearly reminder of sins.
4For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
4For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
5 Woodin sabbay se no, waato kaŋ Almasihu ga ba ka furo ndunnya ra a ne: «Ni si ba sargay da nooyaŋ, amma gaaham no ni soola ay se.
5Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire, but you prepared a body for me;
6In whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hadst no pleasure:
6 Sargay summaare kaŋ i ga ton da zunubi se sargay, ni si maa i kaani.
6You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.
7Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.
7 Gaa no ay ne: ‹Ay neeya, ay kaa. (I hantum ay boŋ tira kunkunante ra.)
7Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’” Psalm 40:6-8
8Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law),
8Previously saying, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them” (those which are offered according to the law),
9then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
9then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,
10By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
10 Miila din boŋ no iri hanan Yesu Almasihu gaahamo salleyaŋo do, kaŋ a te sorro folloŋ lok! hal abada se.
10by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins:
11 Alfaga kulu ga kay zaari kulu ka saajaw goy te. I ga sargay dumi follonkey din filla waati kulu, kaŋ yaŋ si hin ka zunubi kaa hal abada.
11Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins,
12but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
12 Amma alfaga woone kaŋ ti Almasihu, waato kaŋ a na duumi sargay follonka salle zunubey se, kal a goro Irikoy kambe ŋwaaro gaa.
12but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet.
13from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.
14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
14 Zama sargay folloŋ do no a na borey ciya toonanteyaŋ hal abada, ngey kaŋ yaŋ _Biya Hanno|_ goono ga hanandi.
14For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
15And the Holy Spirit also beareth witness to us; for after he hath said,
15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,
16This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; [then saith he,]
16 «Woone ga ti alkawlo kaŋ ay ga sambu i se jirbey din banda, yaa no Rabbi ci: Ay g'ay lordey daŋ i biney ra, ay g'i hantum mo i laakaley ra.» Waato din gaa no a ne:
16“This is the covenant that I will make with them: ‘After those days,’ says the Lord, ‘I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;’” Jeremiah 31:33 then he says,
17And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
17 «I zunubey d'i taaley mo, ay si ye ka fongu i gaa koyne baa kayna!»
17“I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.” Jeremiah 31:34
18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
18 Sohõ, naŋ kaŋ woodin yaŋ yaafa go, sargay kulu si cindi kaŋ i ga te zunubey se koyne.
18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

19Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,

21 Iri gonda mo alfaga bambata Irikoy windo boŋ.
21and having a great priest over God’s house,
22let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,

22let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,
23let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:
23 Iri ma iri beeja seeda di da gaabi, zama Irikoy kaŋ na alkawlo sambu ya naanaykoy no.
23let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
24and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;
24Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,
25not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
Amma iri ma care yaamar, sanku fa sohõ kaŋ araŋ go ga di zaaro din go ga maan.
25not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,
26 Zama nd'iri go ga zunubi te da ganda-gaabay, waati kaŋ iri ban ka du cimo bayra, sargay kulu si no koyne zunubi se,
26For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,

27 kala ciiti batuyaŋ humburkumay ra da danji konno mo kaŋ ga yanjekaarey ŋwa batuyaŋ.
27but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.
28A man that hath set at nought Moses law dieth without compassion on [the word of] two or three witnesses:
28 Boro kulu kaŋ na Musa asariya* taamu, i g'a wi bakaraw si, seeda hinka wala ihinza sanni boŋ.
28A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.
29of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
29 Araŋ diyaŋ gaa, ciiti beeri laalo fo dumi no i ga hima ka dake boro kaŋ na Irikoy Izo taamu nga cey cire boŋ, kaŋ na alkawlo kuro kaŋ i n'a hanandi nd'a himandi yaamo, ka donda gomni Biya _Hanna|_ mo?
29How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
30 Zama iri g'a bay, nga kaŋ ne: «Banayaŋ ya ay wane no. Ay no ga bana.» A ne mo: «Rabbi ga nga jama ciiti.»
30For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me,” says the Lord, “I will repay.” Deuteronomy 32:35 Again, “The Lord will judge his people.” Deuteronomy 32:36; Psalm 135:14
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
31 Humburkumay hari no boro ma kaŋ Irikoy Fundikoono kambe ra.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were enlightened, ye endured a great conflict of sufferings;
32 Amma araŋ ma fongu nda doŋ jirbey, kaŋ araŋ fahamay duyaŋo banda araŋ hin suuru taabi gurjay bambata ra.
32But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;
33partly, being made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, becoming partakers with them that were so used.
33 Kambu fa araŋ ciya gomdo hari hawayaŋ do da kankami do. Kambu fa mo araŋ ciya hangasinyaŋ borey se kaŋ go yaadin.
33partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions; and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so.
34For ye both had compassion on them that were in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of you possessions, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.
34 Zama araŋ bakar borey kaŋ yaŋ go kasu ra se. Araŋ yadda nda bine kaani mo i m'araŋ arzakey hamay, zama araŋ ga bay kaŋ araŋ gonda arzaka kaŋ ga bis'ey kaŋ ga duumi mo.
34For you both had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.
35Cast not away therefore your boldness, which hath great recompense of reward.
35 Woodin sabbay se, wa si araŋ naanayo furu, zama araŋ ga bay kaŋ a gonda alhakku bambata.
35Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
36 Araŋ ga hima ka hin suuru, hala waati kaŋ araŋ na Irikoy miila te araŋ ma du alkawlo toonandiyaŋo.
36For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
37For yet a very little while, He that cometh shall come, and shall not tarry.
37 Zama -- «A cindi kayniyaw fo hala nga kaŋ ga kaa ma kaa, a si gay mo.
37“In a very little while, he who comes will come, and will not wait.
38But my righteous one shall live by faith: And if he shrink back, my soul hath no pleasure in him.

38But the righteous will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Habakkuk 2:3-4
39But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.
39 Amma iri wo manti borey kaŋ dumi ga ye da banda ka to halaciyaŋ gaa no. Day iri ya boroyaŋ no kaŋ gonda cimbeeri kaŋ ga fundi faaba.
39But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.
