¹Thou shalt not take up a false report: put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

¹அபாண்டமான சொல்லை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாயாக; கொடுமையுள்ள சாட்சிக்காரனாயிருக்க ஆகாதவனோடே கலவாயாக.

²Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to turn aside after a multitude to wrest [justice]:

²தீமைசெய்ய திரளானபேர்களைப் பின்பற்றாதிருப்பாயாக; வழக்கிலே நியாயத்தைப் புரட்ட மிகுதியானவர்களின் பட்சத்தில் சாய்ந்து, உத்தரவு சொல்லாதிருப்பாயாக.

³neither shalt thou favor a poor man in his cause.

³வியாச்சியத்திலே தரித்திரனுடைய முகத்தைப் பாராயாக.

⁴If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

⁴உன் சத்துருவின் மாடாவது அவனுடைய கழுதையாவது தப்பிப்போகக்கண்டால், அதைத் திரும்ப அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுபோய் விடுவாயாக.

⁵If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, thou shalt forbear to leave him, thou shalt surely release [it] with him.

⁵உன்னைப் பகைக்கிறவனுடைய கழுதை சுமையோடே விழுந்துகிடக்கக்கண்டாயானால், அதற்கு உதவிசெய்யாதிருக்கலாமா? அவசியமாய் அவனோடேகூட அதற்கு உதவிசெய்வாயாக.

⁶Thou shalt not wrest the justice [due] to thy poor in his cause.

⁶உன்னிடத்திலிருக்கிற எளியவனுடைய வியாச்சியத்தில் அவனுடைய நியாயத்தைப் புரட்டாயாக.

⁷Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

⁷கள்ளக்காரியத்துக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பாயாக; குற்றமில்லாதவனையும் நீதிமானையும் கொலைசெய்யாயாக; நான் துன்மார்க்கனை நீதிமான் என்று தீர்க்கமாட்டேன்.

⁸And thou shalt take no bribe: for a bribe blindeth them that have sight, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

⁸பரிதானம் வாங்காதிருப்பாயாக; பரிதானம் பார்வையுள்ளவர்களைக் குருடாக்கி, நீதிமான்களின் வார்த்தைகளைப் புரட்டும்.

⁹And a sojourner shalt thou not oppress: for ye know the heart of a sojourner, seeing ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

⁹அந்நியனை ஒடுக்காயாக; எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியர்களாயிருந்த நீங்கள் அந்நியனுடைய இருதயத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.

¹⁰And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the increase thereof:

¹⁰ஆறுவருஷம் நீ உன் நிலத்தில் பயிரிட்டு, அதின் பலனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்.

¹¹but the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie fallow; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beast of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, [and] with thy oliveyard.

¹¹ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் உன் ஜனத்திலுள்ள எளியவர்கள் புசிக்கவும், மீதியானதை வெளியின் ஜெந்துக்கள் தின்னவும், அந்த நிலம் சும்மா கிடக்க விட்டுவிடுவாயாக; உன் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தையும் உன் ஒலிவத்தோப்பையும் அப்படியே செய்வாயாக.

¹²Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may have rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the sojourner, may be refreshed.

¹²ஆறுநாள் உன் வேலையைச் செய்து, ஏழாம்நாளிலே உன் மாடும் உன் கழுதையும் இளைப்பாறவும், உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் பிள்ளையும் அந்நியனும் இளைப்பாறவும் ஓய்ந்திருப்பாயாக.

¹³And in all things that I have said unto you take ye heed: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

¹³நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னவைகள் யாவற்றிலும் சாவதானமாயிருங்கள். அந்நிய தேவர்களின் பேரைச் சொல்லவேண்டாம்; அது உன் வாயிலிருந்து பிறக்கக் கேட்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்.

¹⁴Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

¹⁴வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் எனக்குப்பண்டிகை ஆசரிப்பாயாக.

¹⁵The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall appear before me empty:

¹⁵புளிப்பில்லா அப்பப்பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடி, நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே ஆபிப் மாதத்தின் குறித்தகாலத்தில் ஏழுநாள் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பம் புசிப்பாயாக; அந்த மாதத்தில் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டாயே, என் சந்நிதியில் வெறுங்கையாய் வரவேண்டாம்.

¹⁶and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labors, which thou sowest in the field: and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labors out of the field.

¹⁶நீ வயலில் விதைத்த உன் பயிர் வேலைகளின் முதற்பலனைச் செலுத்துகிற அறுப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும், வருஷமுடிவிலே நீ வயலில் உன் வேலைகளின் பலனைச் சேர்த்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, சேர்ப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும் ஆசரிப்பாயாக.

¹⁷Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁷வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் உன் ஆண்மக்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரக்கடவர்கள்.

¹⁸Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.

¹⁸எனக்கு இடும் பலியின் இரத்தத்தைப் புளித்தமாவுடன் செலுத்தவேண்டாம், எனக்கு இடும் பலியின் கொழுப்பை விடியற்காலம்வரைக்கும் வைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்.

¹⁹The first of the first-fruits of thy ground thou shalt bring into the house of Jehovah thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in it mother's milk.

¹⁹உன் நிலத்தில் முதல் விளைச்சல்களின் முதற் கனியை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவருவாயாக; வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதின் தாயின் பாலிலே சமைக்கவேண்டாம்.

²⁰Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee by the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

²⁰வழியில் உன்னைக் காக்கிறதற்கும், நான் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின ஸ்தானத்துக்கு உன்னைக் கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்கிறதற்கும், இதோ, நான் ஒரு தூதனை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புகிறேன்.

²¹Take ye heed before him, and hearken unto his voice; provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgression: for my name is in him.

²¹அவர் சமுகத்தில் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருந்து, அவர் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடு; அவரைக் கோபப்படுத்தாதே; உங்கள் துரோகங்களை அவர் பொறுப்பதில்லை; என் நாமம் அவர் உள்ளத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

²²But if thou shalt indeed hearken unto his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

²²நீ அவர் வாக்கை நன்றாய்க் கேட்டு, நான் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் செய்வாயாகில், நான் உன் சத்துருக்களுக்குச் சத்துருவாயும், உன் விரோதிகளுக்கு விரோதியாயும் இருப்பேன்.

²³For mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: and I will cut them off.

²³என் தூதனானவர் உனக்குமுன்சென்று, எமோரியரும், ஏத்தியரும், பெரிசியரும், கானானியரும், ஏவியரும், எபூசியரும், இருக்கிற இடத்துக்கு உன்னை நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவார்; அவர்களை நான் அதம்பண்ணுவேன்.

²⁴Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works; but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and break in pieces their pillars.

²⁴நீ அவர்களுடைய தேவர்களைப்பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும், சேவியாமலும், அவர்கள் செய்கைகளின்படி செய்யாமலும், அவர்களை நிர்மூலம்பண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை உடைத்துப்போடுவாயாக.

²⁵And ye shall serve Jehovah your God, and he will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

²⁵உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரையே சேவிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; அவர் உன் அப்பத்தையும் உன் தண்ணீரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். வியாதியை உன்னிலிருந்து விலக்குவேன்.

²⁶There shall none cast her young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

²⁶கர்ப்பம் விழுகிறதும், மலடும் உன் தேசத்தில் இருப்பதில்லை; உன் ஆயுசு நாட்களைப் பூரணப்படுத்துவேன்.

²⁷I will send my terror before thee, and will discomfit all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

²⁷எனக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்தை உனக்குமுன் செல்லும்படி செய்வேன். நீ செல்லும் இடமெங்குமுள்ள ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரையும் கலங்கடித்து, உன் சத்துருக்கள் எல்லாரையும் முதுகு காட்டப்பண்ணுவேன்.

²⁸And I will send the hornet before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

²⁸உன் முகத்திற்கு முன்னின்று ஏவியரையும் கானானியரையும் ஏத்தியரையும் துரத்திவிட, குளவிகளை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புவேன்.

²⁹I will not drive them out from before thee in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the beasts of the field multiply against thee.

²⁹தேசம் பாழாய்ப்போகாமலும், காட்டுமிருகங்கள் உனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருகாமலும் இருக்கும்படி, நான் அவர்களை ஒரே வருஷத்திற்குள்ளே உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடாமல்,

³⁰By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

³⁰நீ விருத்தியடைந்து, தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும், அவர்களைக் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாய் உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுவேன்.

³¹And I will set thy border from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand: and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

³¹சிவந்த சமுத்திரம் தொடங்கி பெலிஸ்தரின் சமுத்திரம்வரைக்கும், வனாந்தரம் தொடங்கி நதிவரைக்கும் உன் எல்லையாயிருக்கும்படி செய்வேன்; நான் அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளை உங்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ அவர்களை உன் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுவாய்.

³²Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

³²அவர்களோடும் அவர்கள் தேவர்களோடும் நீ உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணாதிருப்பாயாக.

³³They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me; for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.

³³அவர்கள் உன்னை எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு உன் தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கவேண்டாம்; நீ அவர்கள் தேவர்களைச் சேவித்தால், அது உனக்குக் கண்ணியாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.
