1Then Job answered and said,
1அதற்கு யோபு பிரதியுத்தரமாக:
2I have heard many such things: Miserable comforters are ye all.
2இப்படிப்பட்ட அநேகங் காரியங்களை நான் கேட்டிருக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் அலட்டுண்டாக்குகிற தேற்றரவாளர்.
3Shall vain words have an end? Or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?
3காற்றைப்போன்ற வார்த்தைகளுக்கு முடிவிராதோ? இப்படி நீ உத்தரவுசொல்ல உனக்குத் துணிவு உண்டானதென்ன?
4I also could speak as ye do; If your soul were in my soul's stead, I could join words together against you, And shake my head at you.
4உங்களைப்போல நானும் பேசக்கூடும்; நான் இருக்கும் நிலைமையில் நீங்கள் இருந்தால், நான் உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தைகளைக் கோர்த்து, உங்களுக்கு எதிரே என் தலையைத் துலுக்கவுங்கூடும்.
5[But] I would strengthen you with my mouth, And the solace of my lips would assuage [your grief].
5ஆனாலும் நான் என் வாயினால் உங்களுக்குத் திடன்சொல்லுவேன், என் உதடுகளின் அசைவு உங்கள் துக்கத்தை ஆற்றும்.
6Though I speak, my grief is not assuaged; And though I forbear, what am I eased?
6நான் பேசினாலும் என் துக்கம் ஆறாது; நான் பேசாமலிருந்தாலும் எனக்கு என்ன ஆறுதல்?
7But now he hath made me weary: Thou hast made desolate all my company.
7இப்போது அவர் என்னை இளைத்துப்போகச் செய்தார்; என் கூட்டத்தையெல்லாம் பாழாக்கினீர்.
8And thou hast laid fast hold on me, [which] is a witness [against me]: And my leanness riseth up against me, It testifieth to my face.
8நீர் என்னைச் சுருங்கிப்போகப்பண்ணினது அதற்குச் சாட்சி; என் மெலிவு என்னில் அத்தாட்சியாக நின்று, என் முகத்துக்கு முன்பாக உத்தரவு சொல்லும்.
9He hath torn me in his wrath, and persecuted me; He hath gnashed upon me with his teeth: Mine adversary sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
9என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவனுடைய கோபம் என்னைப் பீறுகிறது, என் பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறான்; என் சத்துரு கொடிய கண்ணினால் என்னைப் பார்க்கிறான்.
10They have gaped upon me with their mouth; They have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully: They gather themselves together against me.
10எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்தார்கள்; நிந்தையாக என்னைக் கன்னத்தில் அடித்தார்கள்; எனக்கு விரோதமாக ஏகமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடினார்கள்.
11God delivereth me to the ungodly, And casteth me into the hands of the wicked.
11தேவன் என்னை அநியாயக்காரன் வசமாக ஒப்புவித்து, துன்மார்க்கரின் கையில் என்னை அகப்படப்பண்ணினார்.
12I was at ease, and he brake me asunder; Yea, he hath taken me by the neck, and dashed me to pieces: He hath also set me up for his mark.
12நான் சுகமாய் வாழ்ந்திருந்தேன்; அவர் என்னை நெருக்கி, என் பிடரியைப் பிடித்து, என்னை நொறுக்கி, என்னைத் தமக்கு இலக்காக நிறுத்தினார்.
13His archers compass me round about; He cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; He poureth out my gall upon the ground.
13அவருடைய வில்லாளர் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டார்கள்; என் ஈரலைத் தப்பவிடாமல் பிளந்தார்; என் பிச்சைத் தரையில் ஊற்றிவிட்டார்.
14He breaketh me with breach upon breach; He runneth upon me like a giant.
14நொறுக்குதலின்மேல் நொறுக்குதலை என்மேல் வரப்பண்ணினார்; பராக்கிரமசாலியைப்போல என்மேல் பாய்ந்தார்.
15I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, And have laid my horn in the dust.
15நான் இரட்டுச்சேலையைத் தைத்து, என் தோளின்மேல் போர்த்துக்கொண்டேன்; என் மகிமையைப் புழுதியிலே போட்டுவிட்டேன்.
16My face is red with weeping, And on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
16அழுகிறதினால் என் முகம் அழுக்கடைந்தது; மரண இருள் என் கண்ணிமைகளின்மேல் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.
17Although there is no violence in my hands, And my prayer is pure.
17என் கைகளிலே கொடுமையில்லாதிருக்கையிலும், என் ஜெபம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கையிலும், அப்படியாயிற்று.
18O earth, cover not thou my blood, And let my cry have no [resting] -place.
18பூமியே, என் இரத்தத்தை மூடிப்போடாதே; என் அலறுதலுக்கு மறைவிடம் உண்டாகாதிருப்பதாக.
19Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, And he that voucheth for me is on high.
19இப்போதும் இதோ, என் சாட்சி பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிறது எனக்குச் சாட்சி பகருகிறவர் உன்னதங்களில் இருக்கிறார்.
20My friends scoff at me: [But] mine eye poureth out tears unto God,
20என் சிநேகிதர் என்னைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்; என் கண் தேவனை நோக்கிக் கண்ணீர் சொரிகிறது.
21That he would maintain the right of a man with God, And of a son of man with his neighbor!
21ஒரு மனுபுத்திரன் தன் சிநேகிதனுக்காக வழக்காடுகிறதுபோல, தேவனோடே மனுஷனுக்காக வழக்காடுகிறவர் ஒருவர் உண்டானால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.
22For when a few years are come, I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
22குறுகின வருஷங்களுக்கு முடிவு வருகிறது; நான் திரும்பிவராதவழியே போவேன்.
