1இரட்சியும் கர்த்தாவே, பக்தியுள்ளவன் அற்றுப்போகிறான்; உண்மையுள்ளவர்கள் மனுபுத்திரரில் இல்லை.
2They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.
2அவரவர் தங்கள் தோழரோடே பொய் பேசுகிறார்கள்; இச்சக உதடுகளால் இருமனதாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.
3Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaketh great things;
3இச்சகம் பேசுகிற எல்லா உதடுகளையும், பெருமைகளைப் பேசுகிற நாவையும் கர்த்தர் அறுத்துப்போடுவாராக.
4Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; Our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
4அவர்கள், எங்கள் நாவுகளால் மேற்கொள்ளுவோம், எங்கள் உதடுகள் எங்களுடையவை; யார் எங்களுக்கு ஆண்டவன் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.
5Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.
5ஏழைகள் பாழாக்கப்பட்டதினிமித்தமும், எளியவர்கள் விடும் பெருமூச்சினிமித்தமும், நான் இப்பொழுது எழுந்து, அவன் ஏங்குகிற பாதுகாப்பிலே அவனை வைப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
6The words of Jehovah are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.
6கர்த்தருடைய சொற்கள் மண் உலையில் ஏழுதரம் உருக்கி, புடமிடப்பட்ட வெள்ளிக்கொப்பான சுத்தசொற்களாயிருக்கின்றன.
7Thou wilt keep them, O Jehovah, Thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.
7கர்த்தாவே, நீர் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றி, அவர்களை என்றைக்கும் இந்த தலைமுறையாரிடமிருந்து விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுவீர்.
8The wicked walk on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
8மனுபுத்திரரில் சண்டாளர் உயர்ந்திருக்கும்போது, துன்மார்க்கர் எங்கும் சுற்றித்திரிவார்கள்.
