¹For the Chief Musician. A Psalm. A song of David. Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed.

¹தேவனே, சீயோனில் உமக்காகத் துதியானது அமைந்து காத்திருக்கிறது; பொருத்தனை உமக்குச் செலுத்தப்படும்.

²O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come.

²ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்கிறவரே, மாம்சமான யாவரும் உம்மிடத்தில் வருவார்கள்.

³Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.

³அக்கிரம விஷயங்கள் என்மேல் மிஞ்சி வல்லமைகொண்டது; தேவரீரோ எங்கள் மீறுதல்களை நிவிர்த்தியாக்குகிறீர்.

⁴Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee], That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple.

⁴உம்முடைய பிராகாரங்களில் வாசமாயிருக்கும்படி நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டு சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் பாக்கியவான்; உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த ஆலயமாகிய உமது வீட்டின் நன்மையால் திருப்தியாவோம்.

⁵By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, Oh God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:

⁵பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலும் தூரமான சமுத்திரங்களிலுமுள்ளவர்கள் எல்லாரும் நம்பும் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிற எங்கள் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவனே, நீர் பயங்கரமான காரியங்களைச் செய்கிறதினால் எங்களுக்கு நீதியுள்ள உத்தரவு அருளுகிறீர்.

⁶Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;

⁶வல்லமையை இடைகட்டிக்கொண்டு, உம்முடைய பலத்தினால் பர்வதங்களை உறுதிப்படுத்தி,

⁷Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.

⁷சமுத்திரங்களின் மும்முரத்தையும் அவைகளுடைய அலைகளின் இரைச்சலையும், ஜனங்களின் அமளியையும் அமர்த்துகிறீர்.

⁸They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

⁸கடையாந்தர இடங்களில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களும் உம்முடைய அடையாளங்களினிமித்தம் பயப்படுகிறார்கள்; காலையையும் மாலையையும் களிகூரப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.

⁹Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth.

⁹தேவரீர் பூமியை விசாரித்து அதற்கு நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சுகிறீர்; தண்ணீர் நிறைந்த தேவநதியினால் அதை மிகவும் செழிப்பாக்குகிறீர்; இப்படி நீர் அதைத் திருத்தி, அவர்களுக்குத் தானியத்தை விளைவிக்கிறீர்.

¹⁰Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof.

¹⁰அதின் வரப்புகள் தணியத்தக்கதாய் அதின் படைச்சால்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் இறைத்து, அதை மழைகளால் கரையப்பண்ணி, அதின் பயிரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறீர்.

¹¹Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness.

¹¹வருஷத்தை உம்முடைய நன்மையால் முடிசூட்டுகிறீர்; உமது பாதைகள் நெய்யாய்ப் பொழிகிறது.

¹²They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy.

¹²வனாந்தர தாபரங்களிலும் பொழிகிறது; மேடுகள் சுற்றிலும் பூரிப்பாயிருக்கிறது.

¹³The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered over with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

¹³மேய்ச்சலுள்ள வெளிகளில் ஆடுகள் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; பள்ளத்தாக்குகள் தானியத்தால் மூடியிருக்கிறது; அவைகள் கெம்பீரித்துப் பாடுகிறது.
