1अगर मइँ मनइयन अउर सरगदूत क भाखा बोल सकउँ मुला मोहेमाँ पिरेम न होइ, तउ मइँ एक बाजत भआ सिरिफ घड़ियाल या झंकारत भइ झाँझ अहउँ।
1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
2अगर मइँ परमेस्सर कइँती स बोलइ क सक्ती क बरदान प्रप्त करउँ अउर जदि मइँ परमेस्सर क सबइ रहस्यन क जानत होउँ अउर समूचा दिव्य गियान मोरे लगे होइ अउर ऍतना बिसवास उ मोका होइ कि पर्वतन क अपने स्थान स सरकाइ सकउँ, मुला मोहेमाँ पिरेम न होइ तउ मइँ कछू नाहीं अहउँ।
2And if I have [the gift of] prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3अगर मइँ आपन सारी सम्पत्ति थोड़-थोड़ कइके जरूरत मन्द क बरे दान कइ देउँ अउर अब चाहे अपने सरीर तक क जलाइ डालइ क बरे सौंप देउँ मुला अगर मइँ पिरेम नाहीं करित तउ।
3And if I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
4एहसे मोर भला होइवाला नाहीं बा। पिरेम धीरजपूर्ण बा, पिरेम दयामय बा, पिरेम मँ ईर्सा नाहीं होत, पिरेम आपन प्रसंसा आप नाहीं करत।
4Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5उ अभिमानी नाहीं होत। उ अनुचित व्यवहार कबहुँ नाहीं करत, उ सुवार्थी नाहीं बा, पिरेम कबहुँ झुँझलात नाहीं, उ बुराइयन क कउनउ लेखा-जोखा नाहीं रखत।
5doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;
6बुराइ पर कबहुँ ओका खुस नाहीं होतइ। उ तउ दुसरन क साथे सत्य पर आनंदित होत ह।
6rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;
7उ हमेसा रच्छा करत ह, उ हमेसा बिसवास करत ह। पिरेम हमेसा आसा स भरा रहत ह। उ सहनसील बा।
7beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8पिरेम अमर बा। जब कि भविस्सबाणी करइ क सामर्थ तउ समाप्त होइ जाइ, दूसर भाखा क बोलइ क छमता स जुरी भइ जीभ एक दिन चुप होइ जइहीं, दिव्य गियान क उपहार जात रही,
8Love never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall be done away; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall be done away.
9काहेकि हमार गियान तउ अधूरा बा। हमार सब भविस्सबाणी अपूर्ण बाटिन।
9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
10मुला जब पूर्णता आई तउ उ अधूरापन चला जाई।
10but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.
11जब मइँ गदेला रहे तउ एक गदेला क तरह ही बोला करत रहे, वइसेन ही सोचत रहे अउर उही तरह सोच विचार करत रहे, मुला अब जब मइँ बाढ़िके मनई बनि गवा हउँ, तउ उ बचपने क बात जात रही बाटइ।
11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a man, I have put away childish things.
12काहेकि अबहिं तउ दरपन मँ हमका एक धुँधली सी छाया देखॉय पड़त रही बा मुला पूरी तरह मिलि जाए पइ हम पूरी तरह आमने-सामने देखब। अबहिं तउ मोर गियान तनिक बा मुला समइ आवइ पर उ पूरा होये। वइसे ही जइसे परमेस्सर मोका पूरी तरह जानत ह।
12For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.
13इही बीच बिसवास, आसा अउर पिरेम तउ बना ही रहइँ अउर इन तीनऊ मँ सबसे महान बाटइ पिरेम।
13But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
