1तउन मइँ, जउन पर्भू क होई कारण बन्दी बना भवा हउँ। तू लोगन स पराथना करत हउँ कि तू सबन क आपन जीवन वइसे ही जिअइ चाही जइसे न कि सन्तन क अनुकूल होत ह।
1I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthily of the calling wherewith ye were called,
2हमेसा नम्रता अउर कोमलता क साथे, धीरज क साथ आचरण। अउर एक दूसरे क पिरेम स कहत रहा।
2with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3उ सान्ति, जउन तू पचन क आपस मँ बाँधत ह, ओसे उत्पन्न आतिमा क एकता क बनाए रखइ क बरे हर तरह क यत्न करत रहा।
3giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4देह एक बा अउर पवित्तर आतिमा भी एक्कइ बा। अइसेन ही जब तोहे बोलॉवा गवा त एक्कई आसा मँ भगीदास्र होइ क बरे ही बोलावा गवा।
4[There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as also ye were called in one hope of your calling;
5एक्कइ परमेस्सर बा, एक्कइ बिसवास बा अउर बा एक्कइ बपतिस्मा।
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6परमेस्सर जउन सबका परमपिता अहइ एक्कइ बा। उहइ सब कछू क स्वामी बा, हर कउनो क द्वारा उहइ त्रियासील बा, अउर हर मँ उहइ समावा बाटई।
6one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
7ईसू हममें स हर कउनो क एक विशेष उपहार दिहे अहइ। हर मनई उहइ पाएस जेका ईसू ओका देइ चाहत रहा।
7But unto each one of us was the grace given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8इही बरे सास्त्रन कहत हीं: "ऊँचा चढ़ा उ अकासे मँ अपने संग बन्दी क लिहेस अउर दिहेस लोगन क आपन आनन्द।" भजन संहिता 68:18
8Wherefore he saith, When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men.
9अब देखा। जब उ कहत ह "ऊँचे चढ़ा" तउ एकर अर्थ एकरे अलावा का बा? कि उ धरती क नीचे हींसा पर उतरा रहा।
9(Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10जउन नीचे उतरा रहा, उ उहइ अहइ जउन ऊँचे पइ चढ़ा रह ऍतना ऊँचा कि सभन अकासन स उप्पर ताकि उ सब कउनो क अपने संग सम्मूर्ण कइ देइ।
10He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11उ लोगन क कछू प्रेरितन होइ क वरदान दिहेस तउ कछू क नबियन होई क तउ कछू क सुसमाचार क प्रचारक होइके तउ कछू क परमेस्सर क जनन क रच्छक गड़ेरिया अउर सिच्छा क।
11And he gave some [to be] apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12मसीह तउ ओन्हे इ बरदान परमेस्सर क पवित्तर लोगन क सेवा काम क बरे तइयार करइ दिहेस ताकि हम जउन मसीह क देह अही, आतिमा मँ अउर दृढ़ होइ।
12for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
13जब तलक कि हम सभन मँ बिसवास मँ अउर परमेस्सर क बेटवा क गियान मँ एकाकार होई क परिपक्क मनई बनई क बरे विकास करत-करत मसीह क पूरा गौरव क ऊँचाई अउर परिपक्कता क न छुइ लेई।
13till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14ताकि हम अइसेन गदेलन न बना रहीं जउन हर कउनो क अइसेन नई सिच्छा क हवा स उछली जाई। हम पचे उ जहाजे क तरह मनइयन न बना रही जउन लहर स एक कइँती स दूसरी कइँती चला जात हीं। जउन हमरे रस्ता मँ बहत ह, लोगन क दल स भरा व्यवहार स, अइसेन धूर्तता स, जउन ठगन स भरी सब योजना क प्रेरित करत रही, एहर-ओहर भटकाई दीन्ह जात हीं।
14that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
15बल्कि हम पिरेम क साथे सच बोलत हर तरह स मसीह क जइसेन बनई क बरे विकास करत जाई। मसीह मस्तक बा अउर हम पचे ओकर देतह अही।
15but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, [even] Christ;
16जेह पर सबहिं देह निर्भर करत ह। इ देह सबहिं का ओसे जोड़त ह। हर एक सहायक नस स संयुक्त होत ह अउर जब एकर हर अंग जउन काम ओका करई चाहइ, ओका पूरा करत ह। तउ पिरेम क साथे समूची देह क विकास होत ह अउर इ देह खुद मजबूत होत ह।
16from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in [due] measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.
17मइँ इही बरे इ कहत हउँ अउर पर्भू क साच्छी कइके तोहे चेतावनी देत हउँ कि ओन व्यर्थ क विचारन क साथे अधर्मियन क जइसेन जीवन जीअत रहा।
17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18ओनकर बुद्धि अंधकार स भरी बा। उ परमेस्सर स मिलइ वाले जीवन स पूर अहई। काहेकि उ अबोध बा अउर ओनकर मन जड़ होइ गवा बा।
18being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;
19सरम क भावना ओनमें स जात रही। अउर ओ अपने क इन्द्रियन क बुरे काम मँ लगाई दिहेन। बिना कउनउ बन्धन माने ओ सब तरह क अपवित्रता मँ जुटा हयेन।
19who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20परन्तु मसीह क बारे मँ तू जउन कछू जाने अहा, उ त अइसेन नाहीं बा।
20But ye did not so learn Christ;
21(मोका कउनउ सन्देह नाहीं बा कि तू ओकरे बारे मँ सुने अहा, अउर उ सच जउन ईसू मँ निवास करत ह, ओकरे अनुसार तोहे ओकर चेलन क रुप मँ सिच्छित कीन्ह गवा बा।)
21if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
22जहाँ तलक तोहरे पुराने जीवन प्रकार क सम्बन्ध बा, तोहे सिच्छा दीन्ह गइ रही कि तू अपने पुराना व्यत्तित्व जउन जर्जर होइ रहा बाटइ ओका उतारके फेंका जउन ओकर भटकावइवाली इच्छान क कारण भ्रस्ट बना भआ बा।
22that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;
23जेहसे बुद्धि अउर आतिमा मँ तोहे नवा कीन्ह जाइ सकई।
23and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24अउर तू उ नवा सरूप क धारण कइ सका जउन परमेस्सर क अनुरूप सचमुस नेक अउर पवित्तर बनवइ बरे रचा गवा बा।
24and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
25तउन तू पचे झूठ बोलइ क तियाग कइ द्या। आपस मँ सब कउनो क सच बोलई चाही काहेकि हम सब एक सरीर क अंग अही।
25Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
26जब तू त्रोध करा, तब पाप करइ स बचा। तोर किरोध सूरज अस्त होय तक बना न रहइ।
26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27सइतान क अपने पर हावी न होइ द्या।
27neither give place to the devil.
28जे चोरी करत आवत, उ आगे चोरी न करइ। बल्कि ओका काम करइ चाही, खुद अपने हाथे स उपयोगी काम। ताकि ओकर पास जेकर आवस्यकता बा ओकर साथे बाटइ क कछू होइ सकइ।
28Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.
29तोहरे मुँहे स कउनउ अनुचित शब्द न निकलइ चाही, बल्कि लोगन क विकास क बरे जेकर अपेच्छा बा, अइसेन उतम बातई निकलई चाही, ताकि जे सुनई ओकर ओसे भला होइ।
29Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.
30परमेस्सर क पवित्तर आतिमा क दुःखी न करत रहा काहेकि परमेस्सर क सम्पत्ति क रूप मँ तोह पर छुटकारा क दिना क बरे आतिमा क साथे मोहर लगाई दीन्ह गइ बा।
30And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
31पूरी कड़वाहट, झुँझलाहट, त्रोध, चीख-चिल्लाहट अउर निन्दा क तू अपने भीतर स सब तरह क बुराई क साथे निकारिके बाहर फेंका।
31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
32परस्पर एक दूसरे क बरे दयालु अउर करुनावन बना। अउर आपस मँ एक दूसरे क अपराधन क वइसेन ही छमा करा जइसे मसीह क द्वारा तोहका परमेस्सर छमा किहे अहइ।
32and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.
