¹अब अइसा भवा कि सबित क एक दिन ईसू जब अनाजे क खेतन्स जात रहा तउ ओनकर चेलन अनाजे क बलिया तोड़तेन, हथेली प रगड़ितेन अउर ओनका चबात जात रहेन।

¹Now it came to pass on a sabbath, that he was going through the grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

²तबहीं कछू फरीसियन कहेन, “जेका सबित क दिन कीन्ह जाब नीक नाहीं बा, ओका तू पचे काहे करत अहा?”

²But certain of the Pharisees said, Why do ye that which it is not lawful to do on the sabbath day?

³जवाब देत भवा ईसू ओनसे पूछेस, “का तू पचे नाहीं पढ़्या जब दाऊद अउर ओकर साथी भुखान रहेन, तब दाऊद का किहेस?

³And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read even this, what David did, when he was hungry, he, and they that were with him;

⁴का तू नाहीं बाँच्या कि उ परमेस्सर क घरे मँ घुसिके, परमेस्सर क चढ़ाई गइ रोटिन क उठाइके खाइ लिहस अउर ओनका भी दिहेस जउन ओकरे संग रहेन? जब कि याजकन क तजिके ओकर खाब कउनो बरे नीक नाहीं।”

⁴how he entered into the house of God, and took and ate the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat save for the priests alone?

⁵उ अगवा फिन कहेस, “मनई क पूत सबित क दिन क भी पर्भू अहइ।”

⁵And he said unto them, The Son of man is lord of the sabbath.

⁶दूसर सबित क दिना अइसा भवा कि उ आराधनालय मँ जाइके उपदेस देइ लाग। हुवँई एक अइसा मनई रहा जेकर दाहिन हाथ सुखंडी होइ गवा रहा।

⁶And it came to pass on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man there, and his right hand was withered.

⁷हुवँई धरम सास्तिरियन अउर फरीसियन इ ताक मँ रहेन कि उ सबित क दिन कउनो चंगा किहे होइ तो ओह प दोख लगावइ क कउनो कारण पाइ जाइँ।

⁷And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find how to accuse him.

⁸उ ओनके बिचारन क जानत रहा। यह बरे उ सुखंडी हथवावाले मनई स कहेस, “उठा अउर सबन क समन्वा खड़ा होइ जा।” उ उठि गवा अउर हुवाँ खड़ा होइ गवा।

⁸But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man that had his hand withered, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

⁹तब ईसू मनइयन स कहेस, “मइँ तोहसे पूछत हउँ-सबित क दिन कउनो क भला करब चंगा अहइ या कउनो क नोसकान करब, कउनो क जिन्नगी बचाउब नीक बा या कउनो क जिन्नगी क नास करब।”

⁹And Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to destroy it?

¹⁰ईसू चारिहुँ कइँती ओन सबन क निहारेस अउर फिन ओसे कहेस, “आपन हथवा सोझ फइलावा।” उ वइसा ही किहेस अउर ओकर हाथ फिन स चंगा होइ ग।

¹⁰And he looked round about on them all, and said unto him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did [so]: and his hand was restored.

¹¹मुला ऍह पइ उ पचे आपुस मँ तहत्तुक करत कोहाइ गएन अउर बिचारइ लागेन, “ईसू क का कीन्ह जाइ?”

¹¹But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

¹²उ दिनन मँ अइसा भवा कि ईसू पराथना करइ बरे एक पहाड़े प गवा अउर सारी राति परमेस्सर क पराथना करइ मँ बिताएस।

¹²And it came to pass in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray; and he continued all night in prayer to God.

¹³फिन मोर भवा तउ उ आपन मनवइयन क लगे बोलॉएस। ओहमाँ स उ बारहु क चुनेस, जेनका उ “प्रेरितन” क नाउँ दिहस।

¹³And when it was day, he called his disciples; and he chose from them twelve, whom also he named apostles:

¹⁴समौन जेका उ पतरस का नाउँ दिहेस, अउर ओकर भइया अन्द्रियास, याकूब अउर यूहन्ना, फिलिप्पुस, बरतुलमै,

¹⁴Simon, whom he also named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip and Bartholomew,

¹⁵मत्ती, थोमा, हलफई क बेटवा याकूब अउर समौन जिलौती,

¹⁵and Matthew and Thomas, and James [the son] of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,

¹⁶याकूब क बेटवा यहूदा अउर यहूदा इस्करियोती जउन दगाबाज होइ गवा।

¹⁶and Judas [the son] of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor;

¹⁷फिन ईसू ओनके संग पहाड़ी स तरखाले उतरिके समथर भुइयाँ प खड़ा भवा। हुवँई ओकरे चेलन क भारी जमघट रहा। एकरे साथ समूचइ यहूदिया, यरूसलेम, सूर अउर सैदा क समुद्दर किनारे स अनगिनत आलम हुवाँ आइके ऍकट्ठा भवा।

¹⁷and he came down with them, and stood on a level place, and a great multitude of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judaea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

¹⁸उ पचे ओका सुनइ अउर बेरामी स छुटकारा पावइ हुवाँ आए रहेन। जउन दुस्ट आतिमा स सतावा रहेन, उ पचे भी हुवाँ आइके चंगा भएन।

¹⁸and they that were troubled with unclean spirits were healed.

¹⁹समूची भीड़ ओका छुइ भरि लेइ क जतन मँ रही काहेकि ओहमाँ स सक्ती निकरत रही अउर ओन सबन क बेरामी स दूर करत रही।

¹⁹And all the multitude sought to touch him; for power came forth from him, and healed [them] all.

²⁰फिन उ आपन चेलन क निहारत भवा बोला, “धन्य अहा तू दीन जनन काहेकि परमेस्सर क राज्य तोहार अहइ।

²⁰And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed [are] ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

²¹धन्य अहा तू, जउन अबहीं भूखा अहा काहेकि तृप्ति तउ होइ तोहार, धन्य अहा तू, जउन आजु आँसू बहावत अहा, काहेकि तू आगे हँसब्या।

²¹Blessed [are] ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed [are] ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

²²“धन्य अहा तू, जब मनई क पूत क कारण लोग तोहसे घिना करइँ, अउर तोहका निकारि देइँ; अउर करइँ तोहार बुराई, नाउँ तलक क दुस्ट कहिके, काटि देइँ उ पचे।

²²Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you [from their company], and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

²³तब उहइ दिन तू मगन होइके खुसी मँ उछर्या काहकेइ सरग मँ तोहार प्रतिफल महान अहइ। काहेकि ओनके पूर्वजन भी नबियन क संग अइसा ही किहन ह।

²³Rejoice in that day, and leap [for joy]: for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for in the same manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

²⁴“हाय! धिक्कार अहइ तोहका ओ धनी मनइयो, काहेकि तोहका मिल गवा सुख चनइ भरपूर।

²⁴But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

²⁵अहइ तोहका धिक्कार, जउन भरपेट अहा अब काहेकि तू भूखा रहब्या। अहइ तोहका धिक्कार, जउन अबहिन हँसत अहा, काहेकि तू आँसू बहउब्या अउर सोक करब्या।

²⁵Woe unto you, ye that are full now! for ye shall hunger. Woe [unto you], ye that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

²⁶“बा धिक्कार तोहका, जब सबन दुआरा तोहार बड़कई होइ काहेकि ओनके पूर्वजन भी इही ब्यौहार झूठे नबियन क संग किहे रहेन।

²⁶Woe [unto you], when all men shall speak well of you! for in the same manner did their fathers to the false prophets.

²⁷“ओ सुनवइया लोगो, मइँ तोहसे कहत हउँ आपन बैरी स भी पिरेम करा। जउन तोहसे घिना करत हीं ओनके संग भलाई करा।

²⁷But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

²⁸ओनका भी आसीर्बाद द्या जउन तोहका सरापत हीं। ओनके बरे पराथना करा जउन तोहरे संग नीक ब्यौहार नाहीं करतेन।

²⁸bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

²⁹जदि कउनो तोहरे एक गाले प थप्पड़ियावइ तउ तू दूसर गाल भी ओकरे अगवा कइ द्या। जदि कउनो तोहार कोट तोहसे लइ लेइ तउ ओहका कुर्ता भी लइ लेइ द्या।

²⁹To him that smiteth thee on the [one] cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.

³⁰जदि कउनो तोसे माँगइ, ओका द्या। जदि कउनो तोहार कछू राखि लेइ तउ ओसे ओका वापस जिन माँगा।

³⁰Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

³¹तू आपन बरे जइसा ब्यौहार दूसरन स चाहत बाट्या, तोहका वइसा ही दूसर क संग ब्यौहार करइ चाही।

³¹And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

³²“जदि तू बस ओनही क पिआर करत ह, जउन तोहका पिआर करत हीं, तउ ऍहमा तोहार कउन बड़कई? काहेकि आपन स पिरेम करइवालन स पिरेम तउ पापी मनई तलक करत हीं।

³²And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.

³³जदि तू बस ओनहीं क भला करत ह, जउन तोहार भला करत हीं, तउ तोहार कउन बड़कई? अइसा तउ पापी तलक करत हीं।

³³And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thank have ye? for even sinners do the same.

³⁴जदि तू सिरिफ ओनही क उधार देत ह, जेनसे तोहका वापस मिल जाइ क आसा बा, तउ तोहार कउन बड़कई? अइसे तउ पापी भी पापी मनइयन क देत हीं कि ओनका ओनकी पूरी रकम वापस मिलि जाइ।

³⁴And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? even sinners lend to sinners, to receive again as much.

³⁵मुला आपन दुस्मन स भी पिआर करा, ओनके संग भलाई करा। कछू भी वापस मिलि जाइके आसा तजिके उधार द्या। इ तरह तोहार फल महान होइ जाई अउर तू सर्वोच्च (परमेस्सर) क संतान बनब्या काहेकि परमेस्सर एहसाने क मानइवालन अउर दुस्ट मनइयन प भी दाया करत ह।

³⁵But love your enemies, and do [them] good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁶जइसे तोहार परमपिता दयालु वा, वइसे ही तू दयालु बना।

³⁶Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

³⁷“कओ क दोखी जिन कहा तउ तोहका भी दोखी नाहीं कहा जाइ। कओ क नोक्तचीनी जिन करा तउ तोहार भी नोक्ताचीनी नाहीं कीन्ह जाइ। छमा करा, तोहका छमा मिली।

³⁷And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:

³⁸द्या तोहका भी दीन्ह जाइ। उ पचे तोहरे झोरी मँ पूरा नाप दबाइ दबाइ के, हलाइके बाहेर निकसत भइ उड़ेरिहीं काहेकि जउने नापे स तू दूसरन क नापत ह, उहइ स तोहका नापा जाइ।”

³⁸give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again.

³⁹उ ओनसे एक ठु दिस्टान्त कथा अउर कहेस: “का कउनो आँधर कउने दूसरे आँधर क राह देखाइ सकत ह का उ सबइ दुइनउँ ही कउनो गड़हा मँ नाहीं भहरइहीं?

³⁹And he spake also a parable unto them, Can the blind guide the blind? shall they not both fall into a pit?

⁴⁰कउनो भी पढ़वइया आपन पढ़ावइवालन स बड़वार नाहीं होइ सकत, मुला जबहिं कउनो मनई पूरी तरह हुसियार होइ जात ह तउ उ आपन गुरु क नाई होइ जात ह।

⁴⁰The disciple is not above his teacher: but every one when he is perfected shall be as his teacher.

⁴¹“तू आपन भाई क आँखी मँ कउनो ढेंढ़ा काहे लखत ह अउर आपन आँखी क लट्ठा भी तोहका नाहीं चोंधरात।

⁴¹And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

⁴²तउ आपन भाई स तू कइसे कहि सकत ह ‘भाई तू अपन आँखी क तिनका मोका निकारइ द्या।’ जब तू आपन आँखी क लट्ठा क नाहीं निहरत्या। अरे कपटी, पहिले आपन आँखी क लट्ठा दूर करा, तब तोबका आपन भाई क आँखी क ढेढ़ा बाहेर निकारइ बरे देखॉइ पड़ी।

⁴²Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me cast out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

⁴³“कउनो भी अइसा उत्तिम बृच्छ नाहीं अहइ जेह पइ बुरा फर लागत होइ। न ही कउनो अइसा बुरा बृच्छ बाटइ, जेइ पइ उत्तिम फर आवति होइ।

⁴³For there is no good tree that bringeth forth corrupt fruit; nor again a corrupt tree that bringeth forth good fruit.

⁴⁴हर बृच्छ आपन फर स पहिचाना जात ह। मनइयन कँटेहरी झारी स अंजीर नाहीं बटोरतेन। न ही कउनो झरबेली स मनई अंगूर बटोरत हीं।

⁴⁴For each tree is known by its own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

⁴⁵एक नीक मनई क मन मँ अच्छाइ क भंडार बाटइ। अउर एक खोटा मनई, जउ ओकरे मने मँ बुराई बाटइ, उहइ स बुराई पइदा करत ह। काहेकि एक मनई मुँहना स उहइ बोलत ह, जउन ओकरे हिरदइ मँ उफनाइ के बाहेर आवत ह।

⁴⁵The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and the evil [man] out of the evil [treasure] bringeth forth that which is evil: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

⁴⁶“तू मोका, ‘पर्भू पर्भू’ काहे पुकारत ह अउर जउन मइँ कहत हउँ, ओह प नाहीं चलत्या।

⁴⁶And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

⁴⁷हर कउनो जउन मोरे लगे आवत ह अउर मोर उपदेस सुनि लेत ह अउर ओह पर आचरण करत ह, उ कउने तरह क होत ह, मइँ तोहका बताउब।

⁴⁷Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like:

⁴⁸उ उहइ मनई क नाई अहइ जउन मकान बनावत बाटइ। उ गहिर खुदाई किहेस अउर चट्टानें प नेंव डाएस। फिन जब बाढ़ आइ अउर नदी मकाने प टकरान तउ ओका हलाइ नाहीं पाएस, काहेकि उ बहोत अच्छी तरह स बना रहा।

⁴⁸he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded.

⁴⁹मुला जउन मोर उपदेस सुनत ह अउर ओहॅ प चलत नाहीं उ ओ मनई क नाई अहइ जउन बे नेंव धरे धरती प मकान बनाएस। नदी ओसे टकरान अउर उ फउरन ढहाइ गवा अउर पूरी तरह बरबाद होइ गवा।”

⁴⁹But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.
