1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2इब्राहीम क बेटवा इसहाक। इसहाक क बेटवा याकूब। याकूब क बेटवन यहूदा। अउर ओकर भाइयन।
2Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;
3यहूदा क बेटवन फिरिस अउर जोरह। (ओनकर महतारी तामार।) फिरिस क बेटवा हिस्रोन। हिस्रोन के बेटवा एराम।
3and Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram;
4एराम क बेटवा अम्मीनादाब। अम्मीनादाब क बेटवा नहसोन। नहसोन क बेटवा सलमोन।
4and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;
5सलमोन क बेटवा बोअज। (बोअज की महतारी राहब।) बोअज क बेटवा ओबेद। (ओबेद की महतारी रूथ।) ओबेद क बेटवा यिसै।
5and Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6यिसै क बेटवा दाऊद राजा। दाऊद क बेटवा सुलैमान। (सुलैमान की महतारी उरिय्याह क पत्नी।)
6and Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon of her [that had been the wife] of Uriah;
7सुलैमान क बेटवा रहबाम। रहबाम क बेटवा अबिय्याह। अबिय्याह क बेटवा आसा।
7and Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;
8आसा क बेटवा यहोसाफात। यहोसाफात क बेटवा योराम। योराम क बेटवा उज्जियाह।
8and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;
9उज्जियाह क बेटवा योताम। योताम क बेटवा आहाज। आहाज क बेटवा हिजकियाह।
9and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;
10हिजकियाह क बेटवा मनस्से। मनस्से क बेटवा आमोन। आमोन क बेटवा योसिय्याह।
10and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;
11योसिय्याह क बेटवन यकुन्याह अउर ओकर भाइयन। (इस्राएल क मनइयन क कइदी बनाइ के बेबीलोनलइ जात कसमइउ दुइनउँजनमेन।)
11and Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brethren, at the time of the carrying away to Babylon.
12बेबीलोन मँ लइ जाए क पाछे: यकुन्याह क बेटवा सालतिएल। सालतिएल क बेटवा जरुब्बाबिल।
12And after the carrying away to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
13जरुब्बाबिल क बेटवा अबीहूद। अबीहूद क बेटवा इल्याकीम। इल्याकीम क बेटवा अजोर।
13and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14अजोर क बेटवा सदोक। सदोक क बेटवा अखीम। अखीम क बेटवा इलीहूद।
14and Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15इलीहूद क बेटवा एलीआजर। एलीआजर क बेटवा मत्तान। मत्तान क बेटवा याकूब।
15and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16याकूब क बेटवा यूसुफ। यूसुफ मरियम क पति। ईसू क महतारी मरियम। ईसू, मसीह कहा गवा।
16and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17इ तहर इब्राहीम स दाऊद ताई चउदह पीढ़ी बीत गइन। अउर दाऊद स लइके कइदी बनाइके बेबीलोन पठए जाइ तलक चउदह पीढ़ी। अउर कइदी बनाइ के बेबीलोन पठए जाइ स मसीह क जनम ताईं चउदह पीढ़ी अउर भइन।
17So all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; and from David unto the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon unto the Christ fourteen generations.
18ईसू मसीह क जनम इ तरह भवा: जब ओकर महतारी मरियम क यूसुफ क साथ बरिच्छा भइ तउ बियाहे स पहिले ही पता लगि गवा कि उ पवित्तर आतिमा क सक्ति स ओकर गोड़ भारी होइ ग।
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.
19मुला होइवाला ओकर भतार यूसुफ एक ठु बढ़िया मनइ रहा। उ इ बात क खोलिके बतावइ स बदनाम नाहीं होइ चाहत रहा। तउ उ मने मँ ठान लिहेस कि उ वरिच्छा क चुप्पे स पक्का न होइ दे।
19And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20फिन जबहिं उ इ बारे मँ सोचत रहा कि उ सपने मँ आपन समन्वा पर्भू क दूत परगट होत ओसे कहेस, “हे यूसुफ, दाऊद क बेटवा,? मरियम क पत्नी बनवइ स जिन डेरआ काहेकि जउन बचवा ओकरे गरभ मँ अहइ, उ पवित्तर आतिमा क अहइ।
20But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21उ एक पूत क जनमी। तू ओकर नाउँ ईसू धार्या काहेकि उ आपन मनइयन क पापन स उद्धार देई।”
21And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
22इ सब कछू इ बरे भवा ह कि पर्भू नबी स जउन कछू कहवाएस, पूरा होइ:
22Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23“सुना, कुँआरी कन्या गोड़े स भारी होइके एक बेटवा क जनमी। ओकर नाउँ इम्मानुएल रक्खा जाई।”? (जेकर अरथ अहइ, “परमेस्सर हमरे लगे बाटइ।”)
23Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.
24जब यूसुफ नीदे स जागि गवा तउ उ उहइ किहेस जउन जेका करइ क पर्भू क दूत ओका हुकुम दिहेस। उ मरियम क बियाहीके आपन घरे लइ आइ।
24And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife;
25मुला उ जब ताईं उ पूत क जनम नाहीं दिहेस तब ताईं यूसुफ ओकरे लगे सोएस नाहीं। यूसुफ बेटवा क नाउँ ईसू राखेस।
25and knew her not till she had brought forth a son: and he called his name JESUS.
