1बहोत स मनई हमरे बीच होइजाइ वाली घाटना क ब्यौरा लिखइ क कोसिस करेन ह।
1Forasmuch as many have undertaken to draw up a relation concerning the matters fully believed among us,
2उहइ बातन हमका उ सबइ मनइयन क जरिये जान पड़िन जउन उ पचे सुरुआत स घटत देखेन अउर जउन सुसमासार क प्रचार करत रहेन।
2as those who from the beginning were eye-witnesses of and attendants on the Word have delivered them to us,
3हे मान्यवर थियुफिलुस! काहेकि मइँ सुरुआत स सब कछू होसियारी स पढ़ेउँ ह। एह बरे मोका इ नीक जान पड़त ह कि तोहरे बरे एक ठु एक क बाद एक एक घटना क लिखेउँ।
3it has seemed good to *me* also, accurately acquainted from the origin with all things, to write to thee with method, most excellent Theophilus,
4जेसे तू सब इन बातन क बेफिकिर होइके जान ल्या जउन तोहका सिखाइ ग अहइँ।
4that thou mightest know the certainty of those things in which thou hast been instructed.
5उ समइया मँ जब यहूदिया प हेरोदेस क राज्य रहा। हुवाँ जकरयाह नाउँ क एक याजक रहत रहा। जउन याजकन क अबिय्याह दल क रहा अउर ओकर पत्नी इलीसिबा हारून बंस क रही।
5There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest, by name Zacharias, of the course of Abia, and his wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elizabeth.
6उ दुइनउँ परमेस्सर क निगाह मँ धर्मी रहेन। उ पचे बिना कउनो दोख क पर्भू क सबइ हुकुमन अउर बिधानन क पालन करत रहेन।
6And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7मुला ओनके कउनो संतान नाहीं रही, काहेकि इलीसिबा बाँझ रही अउर उ दुइनउँ बहोत बुढ़वा होइ ग रहेन।
7And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.
8जब जकरयाह क आपन दले क मन्दिर मँ याजक क काम खातिर बारी आइ, अउर उ परमेस्सर क समन्वा आराधना बरे हाजिर भवा।
8And it came to pass, as he fulfilled his priestly service before God in the order of his course,
9तउ याजकन मँ चली भइ रीति रिवाजे क तरह पर्ची डाइके ओका चुना गवा कि उ पर्भू क मन्दिर जाइके धूप जरावइ।
9it fell to him by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to enter into the temple of the Lord to burn incense.
10जब धूप जरावइ क समइ आइ तउ बाहेर ऍकट्ठा भवा मनई पराथना करत रहेन।
10And all the multitude of the people were praying without at the hour of incense.
11उहइ समइया जकरयाह क समन्वा एक ठु पर्भू का दूत परगट भवा। उ दूत धूप क वेदी क दाहिन कइँती खड़ा रहा।
11And an angel of [the] Lord appeared to him, standing on the right of the altar of incense.
12जकरयाह जइसे उ दूत क निहारेस तउ उ घबराइ गवा अउर डर जइसे ओका जकड़ि लिहस।
12And Zacharias was troubled, seeing [him], and fear fell upon him.
13फिन सरगदूत ओसे कहेस, “जकरयाह जिन डेराअ, तोहार पराथना सुनि लीन्ह गइ अहइ। एह बरे तोहार पत्नी इलीसिबा एक बेटवा क जनम देई, अउर तू ओकर नाउँ यूहन्ना धर्या।
13But the angel said to him, Fear not, Zacharias, because thy supplication has been heard, and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14उ तोहका आनंद अउर खुसी देइ, साथे ओकरे जनम स अउर भी बहोत स मनइयन क खुसी होई।
14And he shall be to thee joy and rejoicing, and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15काहेकि उ पर्भू क निगाहे मँ महान होई। उ कबहुँ कउनो दाखरस या कउनो मदिरा क न पिई। आपन जन्म स पवित्तर आतिमा स भरपूर होई।
15For he shall be great before [the] Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with [the] Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
16उ इस्राएल क बहोतन मनइयन क ओनकइ पर्भू परमेस्सर कइँती लौटइ बरे फेरी।
16And many of the sons of Israel shall he turn to [the] Lord their God.
17उ एलिय्याह क आतिमा अउर सामर्थ मँ होइके परभू क अगवा अगवा चली। उ बापन क हिरदय ओनके संताने कइँती मोड़ देइ अउर आज्ञा न मानइवालन क मने क बदल देइ जेहसे उ पचे धर्मी मनइयन क नाई सोचइ लागइ। इ सबइ, उ मनइयन क पर्भू बरे तइयार करइ क करी।”
17And *he* shall go before him in [the] spirit and power of Elias, to turn hearts of fathers to children, and disobedient ones to [the] thoughts of just [men], to make ready for [the] Lord a prepared people.
18तबहीं जकरयाह दूत स कहेस, “मइँ इ कइसे जान लेउँ कि इ सच अहइ? काहेकि मइँ एक बुढ़वा हउँ अउर मोर पत्नी बुढ़िया होइ ग अहइ।”
18And Zacharias said to the angel, How shall I know this, for *I* am an old man, and my wife advanced in years?
19तबहिं सरगदूत जवाब देत ओसे कहेस, “मइँ जिब्राईल हउँ। मइँ उहइ हउँ जउन परमेस्सर क अगवा खड़ा रहत हउँ। मोका तोसे बात करइ अउर इ सुसमाचार क बतावइ बरे पठवा ग अहइ।
19And the angel answering, said to him, *I* am Gabriel, who stand before God, and I have been sent to speak to thee, and to bring these glad tidings to thee;
20मुला देखा, काहेकि तू मोरे सब्दन प, जउन निस्चित समइ क आइ प सच सिद्ध होइहीं, बिसवास नाहीं किहा, यह बरे तू गूँगा होइ जाब्या अउर उ दिना तलक नाहीं बोल पउब्या जबहिं ताई इ घटित न होइ जाइ।”
20and behold, thou shalt be silent and not able to speak, till the day in which these things shall take place, because thou hast not believed my words, the which shall be fulfilled in their time.
21ओहर बाहेर मनई जकरयाह क इंतजार करत रहेन। ओकना अचरज भवा कि उ ऍतनी देर मन्दिर मँ काहे ठहर गवा।
21And the people were awaiting Zacharias, and they wondered at his delaying in the temple.
22फिन जब उ बाहेर आवा अहइ तउ उ ओनसे बोल नाहीं पावत रहा। ओनका इ लाग कि जइसे मन्दिर क भीतर कउनो दर्सन होइ गवा अहइ। उ गूँगा होइ ग अउर सिरिफ इसारा करत रहा।
22But when he came out he could not speak to them, and they recognised that he had seen a vision in the temple. And he was making signs to them, and continued dumb.
23अउर फिन अइसा भवा कि जब ओकर आराधना क काम होइ गवा तउ जकरयाह वापस आपन घर लौटि गवा।
23And it came to pass, when the days of his service were completed, he departed to his house.
24थोड़े दिना बाद ओकर पत्नी इलीसिवा गर्भवती भइ। पाँच महीना तलक उ सबन स अलगइ रही। उ कहेस,
24Now after these days, Elizabeth his wife conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25“अब आखिर मँ जाइके इ तरह पर्भू मोर मदद करेस ह। मनइयन क बीच मोर लाज राखइ बरे उ मोर सुधि लिहस ह।”
25Thus has [the] Lord done to me in [these] days in which he looked upon [me] to take away my reproach among men.

26But in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent of God to a city of Galilee, of which [the] name [was] Nazareth,
27[This verse may not be a part of this translation]
27to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name [was] Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name [was] Mary.
28जिब्राईल ओकरे लगे आइ अउर कहेस, “तोह पइ अनुग्रह भइ अहइ, तोहार जय होइ। पर्भू तोहरे संग बा।”
28And the angel came in to her, and said, Hail, [thou] favoured one! the Lord [is] with thee: [blessed art *thou* amongst women].
29इ बचन सुनिके उ बहोत घबरान, उ सोच मँ पड़ि गइ, “एकर का अरथ होइ सकत ह”
29But she, [seeing] [the angel], was troubled at his word, and reasoned in her mind what this salutation might be.
30तब सरगदूत ओसे कहेस, “मरियम तू जिन डेराअ, तोसे परमेस्सर खुस अहइ।
30And the angel said to her, Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found favour with God;
31सुना! तू गोड़वा स भारी होब्या अउर एक पूत क जनम देबू अउर ओकर नाउँ ईसू रखबिउ।
31and behold, thou shalt conceive in the womb and bear a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus.
32उ महान होई अउर उ सबन त सर्वोच्च (परमेस्सर) क पूत कहवावा जाई। पर्भू परमेस्सर ओका ओकरे बाप दाऊद क सिंहासन दइ देई।
32*He* shall be great, and shall be called Son of [the] Highest; and [the] Lord God shall give him the throne of David his father;
33उ अनन्त समइया ताई याकूब क घराने प राज करी। ओकर राज्य क नास कबहुँ न होई।”
33and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for the ages, and of his kingdom there shall not be an end.
34एह पइ मरियम सरगदूत स कहेस, “इ सच कइसे होइ सकत ह काहेकि मइँ तउ अबहँू कुँवारी हउँ।”
34But Mary said to the angel, How shall this be, since I know not a man?
35जवाबे मँ सरगदूत ओसे कहेस, “तोहरे लगे पवित्तर आतिमा आई अउर सर्वोच्च (परमेस्सर) क सक्ती तोहका आपन परिछाहीं मँ लइ लेई। इ तरह उ जनम लेइवाला पवित्तर पूत परमेस्सर क पूत कहवावा जाई।
35And the angel answering said to her, [The] Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and power of [the] Highest overshadow thee, wherefore the holy thing also which shall be born shall be called Son of God.
36अउर इ भी सुनि ल्या कि तोहरे कुनबा क इलीसिबा क कुनबे मँ बुढ़ौती क गरभ मँ एक बेटवा अहइ अउर ओकरे कोखी क इ छठा महीना चलत बा। लोग कहत रहेन कि उ बाँझ वा!
36And behold, Elizabeth, thy kinswoman, she also has conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month to her that was called barren:
37मुला परमेस्सर बरे कछू न होइ सकइ, अइसा नाहीं!”
37for nothing shall be impossible with God.
38मरियम कहेस, “मइँ पर्भू क दासी हउँ जइसा तू मोरे बरे कह्या ह, वइसा ही होइ!” अउर तब उ सरगदूत ओकरे लगे स चला गवा।
38And Mary said, Behold the bondmaid of [the] Lord; be it to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
39उहइ समइया मरियम तइयार होइके यहूदिया क पहाड़ी पहँटा मँ बसा एक ठु सहर क फउरन चली गइ।
39And Mary, rising up in those days, went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah,
40फिन उ जकरयाह क घरे गइ अउर उ इलीसिबा क अभिवादन किहेस।
40and entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elizabeth.
41इ भवा कि जबइ इलीसिबा मरियम क अभिवादन सुनेस तउ जउन बचवा ओकरे पेटवा मँ रहा, उछरि गवा अउर इलीसिबा पवित्तर आतिमा स सराबोर होइ गइ।
41And it came to pass, as Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with [the] Holy Spirit,
42ऊँची आवाजे मँ चिल्लात भइ उ कहेस, “तू स्त्रियन मँ सबते जिआदा बड़भागी अहा अउर जउने बचवा क तू जनम देबू उ धन्य बा।
42and cried out with a loud voice and said, Blessed [art] *thou* amongst women, and blessed the fruit of thy womb.
43मुला इ ऍतनी बड़ी बात मोरे संग काहे घटि गई कि मोरे पर्भू क महतारी मोरे नियरे आइ।
43And whence [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44काहेकि तोहरे पैलगी क सब्द जइसेन मोरे कनवा मँ आइ, मोरे पेटवा मँ बचवा खुसी स उछरि गवा।
44For behold, as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the babe leaped with joy in my womb.
45तू धन्य अहा जउन इ बिसवास किहेस कि पर्भू जउन कछू कहेस उ होइके रही।”
45And blessed [is] she that has believed, for there shall be a fulfilment of the things spoken to her from [the] Lord.
46तबहीं मरियम कहेस,
46And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord,
47मोर प्रान पर्भू (परमेस्सर) क स्तुति करत ह: मोर आतिमा मोरे उद्धारकर्ता परमेस्सर मँ खुस भइ।
47and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48उ आपन दीन दास की बिटिया क सुधि लिहेस अउर अब हाँ आजु क बाद सबहिं मोका धन्य कइहीं।
48For he has looked upon the low estate of his bondmaid; for behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49काहेकि उ सक्तीवाला मोरे बरे बड़कवा कारज किहेस ह। ओकर नाउँ पवित्तर अहइ।
49For the Mighty One has done to me great things, and holy [is] his name;
50जउन ओसे डेरात हीं उ ओन पइ पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी दाया करत ह।
50and his mercy [is] to generations and generations to them that fear him.
51उ आपन बाँहन क सक्ती देखाइस। उ घमंडी मनइयन क ओनके डींग हाँकइवालन क बिचारन क छितराइ दिहेस।
51He has wrought strength with his arm; he has scattered haughty [ones] in the thought of their heart.
52उ राजन क सिंहासने स तरखाले उतार दिहस। दीनन क ऊँचा उठाएस।
52He has put down rulers from thrones, and exalted the lowly.
53उ भुखान मनइयन क नीक चीजे स भरपूर कइ देई अउर धनी लोगन क निकारि देई।
53He has filled the hungry with good things, and sent away the rich empty.
54उ आपन सेवकन इस्राएलियन क दाया कइर आवा अउर हमरे पूर्वजन क बचन क मुताबिक।
54He has helped Israel his servant, in order to remember mercy,
55ओका इब्राहीम अउर ओकर संताने प सदा दाया देखॉवइ क याद रही।”
55(as he spoke to our fathers,) to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
56मरियम कउनो तीन महीने ताई इलीसिबा क संग ठहरी रही अउर फिन आपन घरवा लौटि आइ।
56And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her house.
57फिन इलीसिबा क बचवा पइदा करइ क समइ आइ अउर ओकरे एक बेटवा पइदा भवा।
57But the time was fulfilled for Elizabeth that she should bring forth, and she gave birth to a son.
58जब ओकर पड़ोसी अउर ओकर नातेदार सुनेन कि पर्भू ओह प दाया देखाइस ह तउ सबइ साथे मिलिके खुसी मनाएन।
58And her neighbours and kinsfolk heard that [the] Lord had magnified his mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.
59अउर फिन अइसा भवा कि अठवें दिन बचवा क खतना खातिर मनइयन हुवाँ आएन। उ पचे ओकरे बाप क नाउँ क मुताविक ओकर नाउँ जकरयाह धरइ जात हरेन,
59And it came to pass on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they called it after the name of his father, Zacharias.
60“तबहीं ओकरे महतारी बोल पड़ी, “नाहीं एकर नाउँ यूहन्ना रखा जाब अहइ।”
60And his mother answering said, No; but he shall be called John.
61तब उ पचे ओहसे बोलेन, “तोहरे कउनो भी नातेदार का इ नाउँ नाहीं बा।”
61And they said to her, There is no one among thy kinsfolk who is called by this name.
62अउर फिन उ पचे इसारन मँ ओकरे बाप स पूछेन, “उ ओका का नाउँ देइ चाहत ह”
62And they made signs to his father as to what he might wish it to be called.
63एह प जकरयाह ओनसे एक ठु तख्ती माँगेस अउर लिखेस, “एकर नाउँ अहइ यूहन्ना।” एह पइ उ सबइ अचरजे मँ पड़ि गएन।
63And having asked for a writing-table, he wrote saying, John is his name. And they all wondered.
64तबहीं फउरन ओकर मुँह खुलि गवा अउर ओकर बाका फूटि गवा। उ बोलइ लाग अउर परमेस्सर क स्तुति करइ लाग।
64And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue, and he spake, blessing God.
65ऍहसे सबइ पड़ोसी डेराइ गएन अउर यहूदिया क समूचइ पहाड़ी पहँटा मँ मनइयन ऍकरे बारे मँ बतियाई लागेन।
65And fear came upon all who dwelt round about them; and in the whole hill-country of Judaea all these things were the subject of conversation.
66जउन कउनो भी इ बात सुनेस, अचरजे मँ पड़िके कहइ लागेन, “इ गदेला का बनी?” काहेकि पर्भू क हाथ ओह प अहइ।
66And all who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, What then will this child be? And [the] Lord's hand was with him.
67तब ओकर बाप जकरयाह पवित्तर आतिमा स सराबोर होइ गवा अउर उ भविस्सवाणी किहेस:
67And Zacharias his father was filled with [the] Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying,
68“इस्राएल क पर्भू परमेस्सर क आसीस होइ काहेकि उ आपन मनइयन क मदद बरे आवा अउर ओनका आजाद कराएस।
68Blessed be [the] Lord the God of Israel, because he has visited and wrought redemption for his people,
69उ हमरे बरे आपन सेवक दाऊद क परिवार स एक उद्धारकर्ता दिहस।
69and raised up a horn of deliverance for us in the house of David his servant;
70जइसा कि उ बहोत पहिले आपन पवित्त नबी स वचन देवॉएस।
70as he spoke by [the] mouth of his holy prophets, who have been since the world began;
71उ हमका हमार दुस्मनन स अउर ओन सब क हथवन स, जउन हम स घिना करत रहेन, हमका छोड़ावइ क वचन दिहस।
71deliverance from our enemies and out of the hand of all who hate us;
72हमरे पूर्वजन प दाया देखावइ क अउर आपन पवित्तर बचन क याद रखइ क।
72to fulfil mercy with our fathers and remember his holy covenant,
73ओकर बचन रहा एक उ सपथ जउन हमरे पूर्वजन इब्राहीम क संग लीन्ह गइ रहिन,
73[the] oath which he swore to Abraham our father,
74कि हमार दुस्मनन क हथवन स हमार छुटकारा अउर बेडर क पर्भू क सेवा करइ क हुकुम दीन।
74to give us, that, saved out of the hand of our enemies, we should serve him without fear
75अउर आपन जिन्नगी भर हर रोज ओकरे समन्वा हम पचे पवित्तर अउर धर्मी रहि सकी।
75in piety and righteousness before him all our days.
76“हे बालक! अब तू सर्वोच्च (परमेस्सर) क बड़ा नबी कहा जाइ काहेकि तू पर्भू क अगवा अगवा चलिके ओकरे बरे राह तइयार करी।
76And *thou*, child, shalt be called [the] prophet of [the] Highest; for thou shalt go before the face of [the] Lord to make ready his ways;
77अउर ओकरे मनइयन स कही कि ओनके पापन क छमा स उ ओनके लोगन क उद्धार का गियान देबा।
77to give knowledge of deliverance to his people by [the] remission of their sins
78हमरे परमेस्सर क नरम अनुग्रह स एक नवा दिन क भोर हम पइ ऊपर स उतरी।
78on account of [the] bowels of mercy of our God; wherein [the] dayspring from on high has visited us,
79ओन प चमकइ बरे जउन मउत क गहरी छाया मँ जिअत अहइँ काहेकि हमरे गोड़वन सांति क राहे प सीधा जाइँ।”
79to shine upon them who were sitting in darkness and in [the] shadow of death, to guide our feet into [the] way of peace.
80इ तरह उ लरिका बाढ़इ लाग अउर ओकर आतिमा मजबूत स मजबूत होइ लाग। उ मनइयन मँ परगट होइ स पहिले निर्जन जगहिया मँ रहत रहा।
80-- And the child grew and was strengthened in spirit; and he was in the deserts until the day of his shewing to Israel.
