¹“इ सब बात मइँ तोहसे इ बरे बतावत अही कि तोहार बिसवास डगमगाय न जाइ।

¹ “These things have I spoken to you, so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.

²उ पचे तोहका सबन्क आराधनालय स निकार देइहीं सही-सही तउ उ समइ आवइवाला अहइ जब तोहरे मँ स कउनो क मारके हर एक इहइ सोची कि उ परमेस्सर क सेवा करत अहइ।

² They will put you out of the synagogues. Yes, the time comes that whoever kills you will think that he offers service to God.

³उ सबेन्ह अइसा इ बरे करिहइँ, काहेकि उ न तउ परमपिता क जानत हीं अउर न तउ मोका।

³ They will do these things TR adds “to you” because they have not known the Father, nor me.

⁴मुला मइँ तोहसे इ सब इ बरे कहत अही जइसे कि जब ओनकइ समइ आइ जाइ तउ तोहका इ याद रहइ क मइँ ओनके बाबत तोहका बताए रहे जब मइँ तोहरे साथ रहेउँ। “सुरआत मँ इ सब बात मइँ तोहका नाहीं बताए रहेउँ, काहेकि मइँ तोहरे साथ रहेउँ।

⁴ But I have told you these things, so that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you about them. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.

⁵मुला अब मइँ ओकरे पास जात अही, जे मोका भेजेस अउर तोहरे बीच स कउनो मोसे इ न पूछी, ‘तू कहाँ जात अहा?’

⁵ But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’

⁶काहेकि मइँ इ बात बताइ दिहे अही, तोहार दिल दुःखी होइ गवा अहइ।

⁶ But because I have told you these things, sorrow has filled your heart.

⁷मुला मइँ तोहसे सच्ची सच्ची कहत अही कि एहमाँ तोहरा भलाई अहइ कि मइँ जात अही। काहेकि जदि मइँ न जाउँ तउ सहायक तोहरे पास न आई। जदि मइँ हियाँ स चला जाब तउ मइँ ओका तोहरे पास भेजब।

⁷ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

⁸अउर जब उ आइ तउ पाप, धार्मिकता अउर निआव क बावत दुनिया क सक दूर करी।

⁸ When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;

⁹पाप क बावत इ बरे कि उ पचे मोर मँ बिसवास नाहीं करतेन।

⁹ about sin, because they don’t believe in me;

¹⁰धार्मिकता बावत इ बरे कि अब मइँ परमपिता क पास जात अही। अउर तू सबेन्ह अब अउर जियादा समइ तक मोका न देखब्या।

¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;

¹¹निआव क बावत, इ बरे कि इ जगत क सासक क अपराधी ठहरावा ग अहइ।

¹¹ about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.

¹²“मोका तोहसे अबहिं तमाम बात बतावइ क अहइ, मुला तू सबेन्ह ओका सह न पउब्या।

¹² “I have yet many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.

¹³मुला जब सच्चाई क आतिमा आई तउ उ तोहका पूरी सच्चाई क राह देखाई काहेकि उ अपनी तरफ स कछू न कही। उ जउन कछू सुनी उहइ बताई। अउर जउन कछू होइवाला अहइ, ओका उजागर करी।

¹³ However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.

¹⁴उ मोर महिमा करी, काहेकि जउन मोर अहइ, ओका लइके उ तोहका बताई।

¹⁴ He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.

¹⁵हर चीज जउन परमपिता क अहइ, उ मोर अहइ। इहइ बरे मइँ बताए अहउँ, जउन कछू मोर अहइ, ओका उ लइ लेई अउर तोहका बताई।

¹⁵ All things whatever the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes TR reads “will take” instead of “takes” of mine, and will declare it to you.

¹⁶“थोड़े समइ क बाद तू पचे मोका अउर नाहीं देख पउब्या। अउर कछू समइ क बाद तू सबेन्ह मोका फिन देखब्या।”

¹⁶ A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me.”

¹⁷तउ ओके चेलन आपस मँ कहेन, “इ कावा जउन उ मोका बतावत अहइ, ‘तनिक देर क बाद मोका न देख पउब्या अउर तनिक देर क बाद तू पचे फिन मोका देखब्या?’ अउर ‘मइँ परमपिता क पास जात अहउँ?’

¹⁷Some of his disciples therefore said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;’ and, ‘Because I go to the Father?’ ”

¹⁸फिन उ पचे कहइ लागेन, “इ ‘तनिक देर क बाद’ का मतलब अहइ, जेकरे बावत उ बतावत अहइ? उ का कहत अहइ, हम समझ नाहीं पावत अही।”

¹⁸They said therefore, “What is this that he says, ‘A little while?’ We don’t know what he is saying.”

¹⁹ईसू इ समझ गवा कि उ पचे कछू पूछा चाहत अहइँ। इ बरे ईसू ओसे कहेस, “का तू पचे जउन मइँ कहेउँ उहइ पर सोच विचार करत अहा, ‘थोड़ा समइ क पाछे तू मोका अउर जियादा न देख पउब्या अउर फिन थोड़े समइ क बाद तू मोका देखब्या?’

¹⁹Therefore Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, “Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, ‘A little while, and you won’t see me, and again a little while, and you will see me?’

²⁰मइँ तोहका सही बतावत अहउँ, तू सबइ रोउब्या अउर सोक पउब्या मुला इ दुनिया खुस होई। तोहका दुःख होई मुला तोहार दुःख आनन्द मँ बदल जाई।

²⁰ Most certainly I tell you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

²¹जब कउनो स्त्री बच्चा पइदा करत ह तउ ओका बड़ी तकलीफ होत ह, काहकि उ दरद क समइ रहत ह। मुला जब उ बच्चा पइदा कइ चुकत ह तउ उ इनता आनन्द होत ह कि एक ठु इन्सान इ दुनिया मँ पइदा भवा अहइ अउर आपन सब दुःख भूल जात ह।

²¹ A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow, because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.

²²इ बरे तू पचे इ समइ वइसे दुःख अहा, मुला जब मइँ तोहसे फिन मिलबइ तउ तोहार दिल मँ आनन्द होई। अउर तोहार आनन्द तोहरे कउनो भी छीन न पाई।

²² Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

²³उ दिन तू पचे हमसे कउनो चीज न पूछ्या। मइँ तोहसे सच्ची बात बतावत अही, मोरे नाम स परमपिता स जउन कछू तू पचे मँगब्या, उ ओका तोहका दइ देई।

²³ “In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

²⁴अब तक मोरे नाउँ स तू पचे कछू नाहीं मांगे अहा। मांगा, तोहका जरूर मिली। ताकि तोहका भरपूर आनन्द मिलइ।

²⁴ Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

²⁵“इ सब बातिन क मइँ उदाहरण दइके बताए अहेउँ अब उ समइ आवत अहइ जब मइँ तोहसे उदाहरण दइके बात न कर पाउब मुला परमपिता क बावत खुलके तोहसे बतियाब।

²⁵ I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

²⁶उ दिन तू मोरे नाउँ स मँगब्या अउर मइँ तोहसे इ नाहीं कहत अहउँ कि मइँ तोहरे तरफ स परमपिता स पराथना करब।

²⁶ In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you,

²⁷परमपिता खुदइ तोहरे पिरेम करत ह, काहेकि तू मोसे पिरेम करत ह। अउर यह मान लिहा कि मइँ परमेस्सर स आवा अहउँ।

²⁷ for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

²⁸मइँ परमपिता स परगट भएउँ अउर इ दुनिया मँ आएउँ। अउर अब मइँ इ दुनिया क छोड़के परमपिता क पास जात अही।”

²⁸ I came out from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.”

²⁹ओकर चेलन कहेन, “देखा अब तू हम पचन क बिना कउनो दिस्टान्त क खोलके बतावत अहा। जउन कठिन सब्द अहइँ ओनका तू नाहीं बइपरत अहा।

²⁹His disciples said to him, “Behold, now you speak plainly, and speak no figures of speech.

³⁰अब हम पचे समझ ग अही की तू सब कछू जानत अहा। अब तू नाहीं चाहत अहा कि केहू कउनो प्रस्न पूछइ एसे हमका सबन्ह क बिसवास होइ ग अहइ कि तू परमेस्सर स परगट भवा अहा।”

³⁰Now we know that you know all things, and don’t need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came forth from God.”

³¹ईसू ओनसे कहेस, “का तोहका अब इ बिसवास भवा अहइ?

³¹Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe?

³²सुना, अब समइ आवत अहइ, हिआँ तक कि आइ ग अहइ, जबहिं तू पचे सब तितर बितर होइ जाब्या अउर तोहरे मँ स सब कउनो अपने अपने घरे चला जाब्या अउर मोका अकेले छोड़ देब्या, मुला मइँ अकेले नाहीं अही, काहेके परमपिता मोरे साथ अहइ।

³² Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

³³“इ सब बातन मइँ तोहसे इ बरे बतावत कहेउँ जइसे कि मइँ तोहका सान्ति दइ सकउँ। इ दूनिया तोहका कस्ट देत ह, सतावत ह, मुला हिम्मत रखा, मइँ दुनिया जीत लिहे अही!”

³³ I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
